All staff on Skylark ward are courteous, kind and respectful. They are so very patient and kind to Mother, even when things can be trying. They are dedicated and patient. If we could award a pay rise to each and every one we would. A really caring nursing home. Thank you all.

People are very caring. Lots of activities. My mum is happy. They need more carers to do what they have to do. Lovely rooms, lovely people. Opportunities for trips out. Nice walks in the village surrounding the home. People are cheerful and positive.

I have been visiting my friend in Barchester Longueville Court Care Home for about two years. All of the staff I've met, from those on reception to nurses, carers, cleaners, gardeners etc have all been very welcoming and friendly. Each area is always spotlessly clean. The whole atmosphere definitely
has a real 'home' feel about it.

My mother has now been at Longueville Court for nine months and has just celebrated her 104th birthday, with entertainment arranged by the recreation team.
My mother loves spicy food, and curry has started to appear on the menu, much to her delight.
I am a regular visitor to Longueville Court, and
all the staff I have met are friendly and caring and do a difficult and often demanding job to a very high standard.

My father has been a resident at Longueville Court for the past nine months. He has received good nursing care from the team and appears to be as happy as he can be. Unfortunately, he has very limited movement and speech and is completely dependent on staff for all his activities of daily living. However,
this has not proved an obstacle for the fantastic activity team. Last week two members of staff took him to Ferry Meadows and managed to get him into a boat onto the lake, which I know he would have thoroughly enjoyed. A great achievement on their behalf, and I can’t thank them enough for what they have done for him. Thank you so much ladies, as a family, we are extremely grateful to you both for brightening up his life, which I know he would really appreciate.

Last year, our father had a major stroke causing paralysis, loss of speech and difficulty with eating and consequently requires having all his basic needs cared for around the clock. He moved into this care home in November 2022 and the staff have always shown great kindness, support and consideration
to him and to us.
We have been particularly impressed with the activity staff who are extremely enthusiastic and go out of their way to help the residents - they are amazing! For example, they have managed to take Dad to Ferry Meadows on a few occasions - this is a place that is very special to him and he used to visit there nearly every day after our mum died. This has meant a lot to him and although he cannot speak, it is obvious that he enjoys these trips. Yesterday, they even managed to get him into a sailing boat which was a huge achievement and something that we didn't think that Dad would ever be able to do again. We cannot thank them enough for their energy, care and dedication.

My brother spent the last 3 weeks of his life at Longueville Court Care Home. The carers and nurses were fantastic, so caring and nothing was too much trouble for them. My husband went to Longueville Court to enable me to visit family in Scotland.
From our first visit, the staff were welcoming and friendly. He found them to be caring and considerate, with everything possible being done to ensure his comfort and well-being.
The standards in Longueville Court are high.
It is spotlessly clean.
The quality of the food is first class with several choices available at each meal.
This care home is well above standard. Have no fear about placing a loved one here.

My father-in-law was admitted from the hospital as an end-of-life resident. We could not have wished for a better place for him to be moved into. The staff have been attentive, caring, considerate and compassionate.

Staff are very friendly, supportive and helpful but sometimes when visiting, I need to ask staff to give my friend care, e.g. face dressing and pain relief. Staff came quickly and administered the care that was needed without question and with dignity towards myself and my friend. I cannot comment about
activities or the money situation s they didn't apply to my friend. Lastly, one small point, my friend's bedroom furniture needed to be updated.

I've come to Longueville Court straight from the hospital and had no idea what to expect. A nice modern but stylish building set well back from the road and neighbours was my first view of where I was coming to live. The large reception was very nicely decorated and set out with what I was to learn
was a café area for residents and visitors. I was shown to a frankly stunning room, a huge and fully appointed lovely ensuite. I couldn't ask for better although the staff made it clear that if I needed anything I just had to ask.
The staff are friendly and professional and your preferences are asked for and remembered. If you wish, you can eat in your room or if capable you can eat with other residents in the nice dining room which I normally do. The food, by the way, is very good, not what I expected and the staff go above and beyond to give you whatever you want. One of my major concerns was medication but I need not have worried because my painkillers are always on time. Overall an excellent place to live.

My sister arrived here from A&E, and from the moment she arrived was greeted with friendly faces and exceptional care.
The room, the service level provided and the staff are all wonderful and meet all her needs. The training of the staff enables Longueville Court to be the best possible place for

Hello, my name is Martine and I'm the Head of Activities here at Longueville Court. I joined the team in 2009 as a carer and become the team leader before moving into the Activities position 3 years ago.


I'm passionate about providing life enrichment to each of our residents, as a team we aim to bring joy on a daily basis, and make their time with us special. We pride ourselves on bringing a mixture of activities that suit everyone.


I have one daughter and 2 grandsons, when not at work I love to spend time with them making memories, am a massive lover of music and

I have been at Longueville Court since October 2002 when I joined as a Domestic Assistant. I soon moved into my current role as an Activities Coordinator which means I provide person-centred activities for all of our residents.


My aim is to bring fun, laughter, and home comforts to all of those we care for. As an Activities Coordinator, I enjoy encouraging our residents to participate in enjoyable, achievable activities. I like to make sure Longueville Court is part of the local community and our usual programme of activities includes outings, pub lunches and having guests and entertainers at our home.

Caroline Cull

Job Title: Administrator

My team and I coordinate and facilitate all administration within the home for residents and staff.


My role includes supporting residents and their families with any financial matters that arise, whether they need help setting up a new Sky subscription, getting some extra shopping in, or ordering that special present for a grandchild. 


My team are the first people you meet when you visit Longueville Court and as such we know all of the residents and their families very well.

Hi, my name is Tom Lander.


I have been working in the catering industry for 15 years, I have a passion for food, computers and teaching catering.


I have worked for HMP Littlehey for 14 years and have worked in restaurants too.


In my career I have trained to become a supervisor, then an instructor and finally a tutor to help others reach their potential within the catering industry.
