From the moment I first stepped in, I knew this was the care home I wanted my mum to live in. Unfortunately, she was only with you for a few weeks before she died, but the care from the nurses and the rest of the team was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and always spoke to me when I visited. The
home was very clean, rooms spacious and homely. I would certainly recommend Longueville Court to anyone thinking of care for their parents.

My mother received excellent care at Longueville Court in her final few weeks. The nursing staff, in particular, were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. The home is clearly well run, and all the staff are professional and caring. The absence of agency staff is a good sign that staffing levels are
more than adequate. Along with the fact that the home is spotlessly clean, it is hard to find fault with anything to do with the place. Having seen many care homes, I highly recommend Longueville to anyone.

Please do not be conned into leaving your loved ones in the care of the manager here. A catalogue of falsehoods spiralling out of control made an awful situation heartbreaking. A complaint was logged using their link yet never acknowledged. The manager is not to be trusted and is very well-rehearsed
when it comes to blatant lies to distance loved ones who see the place for what it is.
Gardens are lovely but you won’t see a resident in them, the viewing unit Skylark is beautiful but your loved one won’t go in there! In fact, the majority of residents seem to be crammed into Kingfisher with minimal staff.
The quiet corridors of Skylark are very different to the screaming and desperate pleas for help that is heard through the rest of the corridors! The physio that is advertised is non-existent so don’t expect to see your loved one walking after that stroke.
The whole place is based on lies and cover-ups.

I always respond to the comments and compliments we receive and always work with the families in the interests of their loved ones. I have not received any communication from you through the extensive Barchester channels available. When you visited, we spoke and you were happy and did not raise any issues with me. Our staffing levels are generous and constant. The home is a peaceful place, with a friendly homely atmosphere and we have no knowledge of the screams of help you describe in your review. My door is always open for anyone who wants to discuss care.

Mum has been at Longueville Court for 18 months and is very well cared for on Memory Lane. Mum is safe, always very clean and enjoys her food. Dad joined the home on respite a year ago and has stayed, as he is able to be with Mum. The nurses and carers show respect, kindness and compassion, which Dad
comments on when he sees the care that mum is getting. The activities team have a great sense of fun and they go out of their way to please dad, such as picking up his newspaper every day and making a special Valentine's tea for them. Thank you, chef! Kingfisher Unit are very kind to Dad and the lead nurse is excellent at communicating any issues to me. I have every confidence in the team led by the manager who always makes time to help my parents and our family, as does her deputy. Longueville is a safe, caring and happy place. Thank you one and all!

To date, I have been very pleased with the care the Barchester - Longueville Court has provided for my mother who has dementia. The staff notifies me regarding any issues or concerns. My mother is looked after with respect and she is allowed to walk around the corridors which she enjoys and to seek
company from the staff ie allowed to sit in the nurses office. There appear a variety of activities for my mother if she so wishes to take part. The manager is always available via phone or e-mail which is appreciated.

My father was a resident at Longueville Court Care home and our family experience of the home is it's extremely well managed with a superb team of staff from reception and admin to highly competent, compassionate, caring and professional care staff as well as highly qualified and experienced nursing
staff. In addition support staff such as those in maintenance, cleaning and laundry demonstrated considerable care and dedication to the needs of residents and my father in particular. Nothing was too much trouble. During the last two weeks of my father's life the level of care, compassion, sensitivity to need was of considerable help to us as a family especially during the challenging COVID situation and associated restrictions the care home has to operate within to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and residents. Care home staff and especially the care home manager, made a very difficult situation just that little bit easier, for which we are extremely grateful.

1. Care provided very good and thanks to care staff.
2. Strongly suggest that all staff have the training to help them with communicating with families more sensitively and to meet resident confidentiality. Bigger coffee space.
3. Activities on offer need to be broadened so residents with Alzheimer's
have more sensory and musical experiences and more trips out.
4. Think Memory Lane Longueville needs updating and renovating. Would be nice if it had a nicer name and newsletter had news from Memory Lane.

Food terrible in lock-down but much improved now. Five-star food when I came here in January. Staff very friendly and I can’t fault the two activity ladies who do wonders, as they are down from four to two people, to do the same work in difficult circumstances. They are always cheerful and helpful and
nothing is too much trouble.

Hello, my name is Martine and I'm the Head of Activities here at Longueville Court. I joined the team in 2009 as a carer and become the team leader before moving into the Activities position 3 years ago.


I'm passionate about providing life enrichment to each of our residents, as a team we aim to bring joy on a daily basis, and make their time with us special. We pride ourselves on bringing a mixture of activities that suit everyone.


I have one daughter and 2 grandsons, when not at work I love to spend time with them making memories, am a massive lover of music and

I have been at Longueville Court since October 2002 when I joined as a Domestic Assistant. I soon moved into my current role as an Activities Coordinator which means I provide person-centred activities for all of our residents.


My aim is to bring fun, laughter, and home comforts to all of those we care for. As an Activities Coordinator, I enjoy encouraging our residents to participate in enjoyable, achievable activities. I like to make sure Longueville Court is part of the local community and our usual programme of activities includes outings, pub lunches and having guests and entertainers at our home.

Caroline Cull

Job Title: Administrator

My team and I coordinate and facilitate all administration within the home for residents and staff.


My role includes supporting residents and their families with any financial matters that arise, whether they need help setting up a new Sky subscription, getting some extra shopping in, or ordering that special present for a grandchild. 


My team are the first people you meet when you visit Longueville Court and as such we know all of the residents and their families very well.

Hi, my name is Tom Lander.


I have been working in the catering industry for 15 years, I have a passion for food, computers and teaching catering.


I have worked for HMP Littlehey for 14 years and have worked in restaurants too.


In my career I have trained to become a supervisor, then an instructor and finally a tutor to help others reach their potential within the catering industry.
