Belvoir House is in the popular village of Brundall, close to Norwich and with access to several amenities within the village. Respite care needs, caring for older people.

You will be welcomed by a friendly team who will instantly make you feel at home and part of their family. The home is passionate about leading its team by example to ensure residents are loved, cared for and happy to call Belvoir House their home.

Residents enjoy most of their days socialising with staff and other residents across the home's 2 lounges and dining rooms. They believe in providing engaging activities for staff and residents in the social areas, but also have a quiet lounge for those looking to relax. The home is proud to have a hairdressers/barbers, a nail bar, and a pub in the garden for residents to enjoy many warm evenings over the summer months.

Belvoir House provides both care for older people and people with dementia care.

They have implemented a number of small adaptations across the home to provide a calming environment for residents. These include a bus stop where residents can sit and start many interesting conversations on where they will be going or have been in the past. Murals decorate the external doors, and all of the corridors are themed for example a music corridor to encourage reflection on years gone by which can be incredibly soothing for residents.

My mum was here for respite. The staff were very caring, and she had a great time. She went on trips out and enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt and hot cross bun tasting, as well as live music. She was very well looked after. Thank you!

My dad has been a resident here for nearly two years, and he is always positive about it and it feels like home to him. He has a good sized room with an ensuite toilet and always says the food is good. This is amazing because he is very fussy!
The staff there do come and go, but there are some who
are just so dedicated and loving and give their lives to caring for the people who live there. They love the residents, and even take my dad out down to the pub or out for a walk, which they are not paid to do.
The communication is good, I can always get someone on the phone and recently they have introduced a good activity package and have posted many videos on social media which means friends and relatives of my dad can see what he's up to even though they do not live close by.
There's always a hot cup of tea waiting for him and chocolate biscuits and sandwiches if he needs them, the kitchen always seems to be open!
Belvoir House put the Care into Care home.

My Dad has lived at the home for a few years. Since it changed hands to the current owners it has provided an excellent level of care. Staff are thoughtful, friendly and caring. Their commitment to protecting residents from Covid-19 has been outstanding. I have been able to relax knowing that my father
is safe and secure. I looked at a number of homes before choosing this one. All residents have a toilet and sink in their room which was important to me. My Dad can choose to have his meals in his room or to join others in the dining room. The home organises activities that my Dad enjoys. The home is clean, keeps good communication with me and is responsive to any feedback. I used to run a care home and I am very happy with the level of care that is being provided here.

My mother has been at Belvoir house for three and a half years to date and suffers from dementia as well as being bed-bound.
Her dementia has worsened over that time and the level of care and attention afforded her has been excellent.
The staff and management have shown her the utmost respect and
detail of care and have included myself and my brothers at all times.
Obviously, Covid has played a big part in the last year or so but Belvoir have dealt with it and its effect on our family in a very professional and caring way.

The Staff are lovely and from what I have seen, do their best, especially over the last year with Covid. Management at the home are good and knowledgeable. Facilities, from what I know, are adequate. The food is excellent.

Mum has been a resident at Belvoir for just over a year now and in that time I have come to admire the manager and her team for the care and consideration they show to all of the residents within their care. It is true that the building is an old Victorian property but it's very clean and well maintained
and in a quiet location which is well served by public transport. The manager is making great efforts to keep the facilities up to date and relevant. It always impresses me that the staff all seem to know all of residents well. I have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone.

Current Review Score: 7.7 (7.711)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.7 (7.711) out of 10 for Belvoir House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.583 for Belvoir House is calculated as follows: ( (7 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 4.583

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.128 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Belvoir House is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 39 registered maximum number of service users is 7.8. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 7.8 = 0.128

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
