Brooklands' parent company is London & West Investments Limited, which is part of Carebase Group and has been since the home's acquisition in 1997. As nothing has changed with the structure of the company, our website remains up to date.
Carebase, of which Brooklands remains a part of, is award-winning and in 2022 we were honoured to become one of the Top 20 UK Mid-Sized Care Home Groups on carehome.co.uk. Helen is an experienced home manager and qualified nurse having spent more than 16 years in the care sector.
After qualifying as a nurse in the Queen Alexander Royal Army Nursing Corp, Helen went to work for the NHS for a number of years before discovering her passion for social care.
Before joining our Brooklands team, Helen gained a wealth of care management experience holding a variety of senior roles including deputy matron, head of care, and a home manager in two local nursing homes.
Helen’s passion is to nurture our team, supporting them to succeed in their chosen roles whilst together creating a home from home for our treasured residents. She is an active member of the Health and Social Care teams in the East of England, including acting as chair for the East of England Social Care Nursing Advisory Council.
In her spare time, Helen loves to spend time with her husband Matt, two young boys Theodore and Elliot, who are full of energy, and their cockerpoo Barnabee exploring the great outdoors with favourite spots including Norfolk, the Lake District and Snowdonia.
Speaking about Brooklands, Helen said: “It is such a privilege to be part of our Brooklands family and I take great pride in leading our kind and dedicated team. Caring for all of the amazing individuals who live with us at Brooklands is a real honour.”
