Holmwood House is located within walking distance of Swaffham town centre, set within acres of beautiful grounds, an extended Grade II listed building dating from 1846.

Many of the original features have been retained and it has been sympathetically and tastefully converted. The main house has eight bedrooms, all enjoying fantastic views over the grounds.

Accessible from the main house is a purpose-built ground floor extension consisting of 32 bedrooms. All have en-suite facilities and there are two comfortable lounges, both of which have direct access to an enclosed garden. There is also a dining room and specialist facilities for bathing and showering.

Added in 2008, the Woodland Suite provides 19 en-suite bedrooms catering specifically for those with dementia and provides a safe and secure environment. There is a large lounge with unlimited access to a secure sensory garden, with residents taking an active role in its development.

My husband has been a resident at Holmwood House for a year now and has come on in leaps and bounds. When he first arrived he couldn't feed himself or hold cutlery, he couldn't stand or walk any steps but this has all changed with the nursing and support from carers.

My wife moved into Holmwood in December 2024, with advanced dementia. She settled immediately and is very well cared for and supported by the caring team, who know the needs of all the residents on the EMI wing.
Extra stimulation is provided by moving her each day into the lounge. All the staff -
carers, cleaning, laundry, kitchen are all supportive, friendly and work as a team. The management and nurses all know each resident and their needs and are very approachable for resident updates etc.
Very pleased - thank you. I know my wife is being well cared for and looked after.

My father has been a resident since January 2024. He is receiving excellent care. He now has a fantastic social life due to fellow residents and staff. Great activities, which he enjoys. The staff are brilliant and call when anything is wrong with my dad. The home has excellent communication about activities
and what is going on with the home and residents.

Both my parents came into the care home as they were struggling at home by themselves. They have been well looked after here from the start. My Dad sadly passed away last year but the care home were so kind and went above and beyond to look after my Dad when he was extremely ill. We knew he was in good
hands and when he died they helped my Mum and our family with kindness and sympathy. My mum is now encouraged to join in activities, of which there are many, helping her in so many ways socially and psychologically.

Holmwood House Care Centre is a fantastic care home. It is well run, clean, the food is good and the staff are knowledgeable, patient and friendly. The nurses are quick to address and resolve any health issues. There is a well organised schedule of activities which the residents can choose to join in
with or just observe. The petting animal visits are fantastic. I'm so pleased my mum got allocated a room here.

A lovely care home. My father has been a resident for a year next month which started as a short trial then he decided to stay. The staff are really supportive and kind to both residents and family. There are activities daily - with an updated programme due in the coming months aiming to get residents
out more and additional entertainment and visitors to the home. My father is happy there! That means the world to us. He is safe and well looked after.

Since moving into Holmwood House, my mum has been treated with dignity, kindness and respect. The staff have all been welcoming, efficient and caring. The home is extremely well managed. My dad was at Holmwood House from May 2023 until he passed in September. During that time he was cared for with kindness, patience and much empathy. All the staff were just blooming lovely and gave me peace of mind to just relax and enjoy his last few months with him. So grateful for that.

Every time l have visited the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The place is always spotlessly clean. The staff are always knowledgeable about the residents they are caring for. Residents can take part in various social events organised by the home.
