Meadow House offers dedicated care for people with a physical disability, specialising in care for people with multiple sclerosis. This purpose built, single storey Home opened in 1989 and has built up an enviable reputation in both the local and wider community for its high quality care. It has been sympathetically designed to offer a range of single rooms, a welcoming reception area, large lounges, dining room and a separate Activities Centre, all of which are available for residents and their guests to enjoy. Although rooms are fully furnished, they encourage residents to bring their own items of furniture and personal effects to complement those provided.

Meadow House is situated on the outskirts of the pretty market town of Swaffham, near to a range of shops and amenities. To ensure that residents continue to have an active social life, regular trips are organised in the minibus to the local shops, theatre, etc. If you simply wish for peace and tranquillity, well maintained gardens with raised flower beds surround the Home, allowing you to enjoy a haven from the bustle of the town.

Care staff, who usually do not wear a uniform, are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their nursing skills but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. They are on hand around the clock to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual. Of course, a qualified physiotherapist is on hand for specialist help.

Care workers regularly assess each resident so that they can be sure their needs are met and supply specialised equipment if required. An optician, dentist, hairdresser and chiropodist visit by appointment providing all the usual services including manicures and hand massages. Catering staff provides delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, as well as special dishes for those with particular dietary requirements.

My wife has been a resident at Meadow House for over ten years and during that time I have seen it improve -both the building and the staff. However, it is not the bricks and mortar that make this place an excellent place for her to be but the staff and management who are exceptional which is confirmed
by the number of awards they now have as 'carers'.

Meadow House has been the best place for my daughter. Everyone in the house are kind, caring and have made my daughter feel so at home in Meadow House.
Management and staff are fantastic, they take time to listen to me and made me feel as though my daughter is a real person with needs and care, I cannot
fault any part of Meadow House. I am delighted that my daughter was fortunate to get a placement in such a lovely home. Warm, friendly and spotless.

My wife has a brain bleed 4 years ago in December. She has lived in 5 care homes in that period. Meadow House, in my wife's words, 'is another world'.
It's very clean, does not smell, the food is great and all the staff take the time to talk to her and make sure she's happy and comfortable. Pity she
did not come to Meadow House in the first place.

Our son is happy and content living at Meadow House. The staff are all very good and show love and support to all the residents. They always make us welcome when we visit too. It's been a difficult 2 years due to COVID, but we've been able to visit our son through the window, in the pod and outside.
Our son moved in nearly two years ago during COVID and with all the love and support from staff he has settled in well.

I visited my friend at Meadow House Nursing Home the staff were brilliant. It was the first time visiting since the pandemic and the welcome was so loving. My friend was so happy they had a singer in the garden and everyone was having such a wonderful time. Meadow House by far is not just a nursing
home it’s like walking into your own home. The staff, manager, admin and the activities are the best well done everyone, you're so amazing.

My dad had a very rare neurological condition. Whist at Meadow House the manager and her team went to extreme lenghts to learn and understand about this condition and gave care second to none. Not only was the nursing care outstanding, the everyday human kindness and extra special warmth that Dad received
was too. On days I could not visit, I never worried because everything was in hand. He was clean, warm and, above all, loved.

All the staff have treated me with high respect and dignity. There was nothing, when I asked, classed as too much. The physio department has helped me hugely. I have improved both mentally and physically since being here. The staff have commented on my improvement. I am eternally grateful to have been
placed here because I felt I was a person and not just a paying guest.
I have achieved a lot and I am very proud of myself for my achievement and that's all thanks to the support from all the staff, from housekeeping, laundry, nurses, kitchen personnel, carers and management.

My brother moved to Meadow House from London. From before he arrived the staff were excellent and covered everything. Since his arrival, things have got even better.
