Meadow House offers dedicated care for people with a physical disability, specialising in care for people with multiple sclerosis. This purpose built, single storey Home opened in 1989 and has built up an enviable reputation in both the local and wider community for its high quality care. It has been sympathetically designed to offer a range of single rooms, a welcoming reception area, large lounges, dining room and a separate Activities Centre, all of which are available for residents and their guests to enjoy. Although rooms are fully furnished, they encourage residents to bring their own items of furniture and personal effects to complement those provided.

Meadow House is situated on the outskirts of the pretty market town of Swaffham, near to a range of shops and amenities. To ensure that residents continue to have an active social life, regular trips are organised in the minibus to the local shops, theatre, etc. If you simply wish for peace and tranquillity, well maintained gardens with raised flower beds surround the Home, allowing you to enjoy a haven from the bustle of the town.

Care staff, who usually do not wear a uniform, are trained to the highest standards and chosen not only for their nursing skills but also for their warmth, friendliness and caring attitude. They are on hand around the clock to provide professional care that respects the rights and dignity of the individual. Of course, a qualified physiotherapist is on hand for specialist help.

Care workers regularly assess each resident so that they can be sure their needs are met and supply specialised equipment if required. An optician, dentist, hairdresser and chiropodist visit by appointment providing all the usual services including manicures and hand massages. Catering staff provides delicious meals and snacks throughout the day, as well as special dishes for those with particular dietary requirements.

Good carers, good place, excellent facilities. My brother has progressed really well since being at Meadow House down to the dedication of all the staff. My brother always seems happy here. The food is good. The location of the home is lovely with field views. As a family member I'm always made to feel
welcome. Free car parking.

Care, compassion, and friendliness to both residents and family members are the cornerstone of policy at Meadow House. This is a great place to be with the accent on the positives for everything. Although extremely professional, the staff are very friendly and provide encouragement to "join in" for
residents and family alike. It is not surprising to see Meadow House in the "outstanding" care category. Absolutely love the place and the people, staff and residents.

Excellent care overall. Staff wonderful, caring, kind and very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble.
My cousin has the best care possible, she is very happy. What a lovely place to live.
Everywhere is so clean and the food, all home cooked. I should like to thank everyone who works here, the carers,

I find that the home is very inviting, always clean and nicely decorated. The day I came they were going to have a Hawaiian Theme party in the evening. Nothing is too much trouble, I usually have lunch with my friend. My friend is very happy here as a resident, always telling me good things about Meadow
House. The staff are all so friendly. Having had experience in nursing, I realise how much hard work goes into running a home like this to make it successful in every way.

All the staff are good fun. My first time in respite care and I'm enjoying it. The food is delicious I can have what I like. My bedroom is lovely. The games we play are good fun. I had a Spa Bath was the best ever. I look forward to coming back.

I have been visiting my friend at Meadow House for many years. Through my church I visit many care homes, but Meadow House is by far the most caring and carers interact with residents on a wonderful level - people are not neglected. Interaction is so important. As a visitor all staff are very pleasant
with a lovely cheerful manner - never felt so comfortable as I do when I visit Meadow house. Thank you to all the staff and well done. You make a difference in such a positive manner.

We received a lovely welcome from the very beginning. Surroundings are wonderful, spotlessly clean. Staff respond instantly to any issues. Our daughter loves being here now as a permanent service user, and used to enjoy her respite care. Peace of mind for us that our daughter is so well cared for and
that we can visit at any time.

I come to visit Meadow House quite often and unfortunately a few weeks ago I had a motorbike accident on the front of Meadow House. I was unconscious in the ditch. All the staff attended to me and my wife, and the nurses looked after me until the air ambulance came and took me to the hospital. To all
the staff there I want to give my gratitude for what they did in that very stressful moment. I can't thank you enough.

Generally I think the place has improved a lot. I got disillusioned with it a year ago, but since the Manager has taken over the running of the home you can see a big difference. My sister has lots of time for the new Manager as she encourages her to do things, which is what she needs. She has been
a lot happier in the last 6 months. The look of the place seems a lot cleaner too.

My clients were a married couple who both needed care and moved into Meadow House together. From the start they were treated with kindness and respect. The fact that they were married was taken into account and they were given rooms close to each other, one of which they used as a day room and the other
as a bedroom, kitting the rooms out with a number of personal items to make them 'at home'.
After the wife died, they helped the husband through his grief, accompanying him to the funeral. His health deteriorated and much care and thought was given to sourcing suitable aids to make him comfortable. He was able to die 'at home'. I was kept informed throughout and cannot speak too highly of Meadow House.

However with the excellent nursing staff and carers she is happy here, which undoubtedly is due to the kindness and professional manner of everyone around her.
