Located close to Bowthorpe Southern Park, Earlham Park and the historic Norman church, Oakwood House is also close to Spire Norwich Hospital.

As part of a small, tight-knit care group, Oakwood House offers a unique home-from-home experience, providing residents with a range of enjoyable and stimulating activities, good community links and fulfilling lifestyle choices, close to the heart of Norwich.

In October 2022, Oakwood House won the ‘Nursing in Social Care Award’ at the Norfolk Care Awards which reflects their continuing investment in the team to deliver the very best care the county has to offer.

After a difficult short period in hospital after a comparatively minor operation I was left feeling weak and unhappy about returning home without a period of convalescent care. Although it took up an amount of my meagre savings I opted for a room with the largest area of window, which with a fortuitous
"Indian Summer" was psychologically helpful. A three week stay has left me prepared to return home.

With 10 years experience of in successfully managing a local care home, Emma brings a new approach to management at Oakwood House. With a focus on utilising innovative technology and empowering staff to deliver, the aim is to create a more streamlined home environment. This approach will mean that Emma is freed from daily tasks so that the focus can be put on improving the quality of care that we provide. Emma’s experience in collaborating with the local multi-disciplinary teams to ensure residents receive the best personal-centred care will be of great benefit to Oakwood House.


A caring and compassionate, organized, and supportive person Emma is a hands-on manager who creates a homely atmosphere for both staff and residents alike. Her door is always open for discussion and feedback.
