My mum is a resident in Woodland Care Home and I think it is a lovely friendly place and I wouldn't want my mum to be anywhere else. The staff are so friendly and would do anything for anyone and they all work so hard. My mum left hospital in April 2018 and since being here she has come on so much with
her movement, skin colour and they have also healed her bed sore that was really bad on her leg. I am so impressed with this home I would recommend it to anyone.

After 2 and a half years in residential care, a fall led to mum needing nursing care. Sadly her stay at Woodland Care Home was very short but the care and attention she received in her last days were exceptional. The staff treated her with respect and dignity and went to great efforts to make her comfortable
and happy. I cannot recommend this nursing home enough the staff exceeded my very high expectations in every respect.

After a long period in hospital, our brother has been well looked after at Woodlands. Manager and staff have made him very welcome and are keen to meet his special needs. His particular feeding system is efficiently supplied. All staff try very hard to understand his wishes and needs, despite his marked
communication difficulties and support him in his wishes to socialize or join group activities. Visitors are made very welcome. The friendly atmosphere of this home is evident throughout. Our brother is happy at Woodland and I would recommend the home to anyone as they meet so many needs.

My relative has been in the care home for four and a half years. The carers have all been lovely, very kind and caring; lovely home cooked food, which my relative really enjoys.

Woodlands Care Home managed the transition from hospital into the care home with utter professionalism, empathy and compassion. High levels of team work ensure quality continuity of genuine care on a daily basis. There is a strong community at Woodlands based on the staff, residents, family and friends
of residents. My mum is safe and secure, well cared for and happy. Thank you.

When my father-in-law could no longer cope alone in his own house, we had to find a home where we thought he would be happy and we were impressed with Woodlands at the first visit. It is lovely and clean and the staff are all very kind and caring. Nothing was too much trouble and we were kept well informed.
Dad was only there a short time before he passed away but we couldn't have asked for better care.

I was worried when my husband went to Woodlands Care Home as you hear so many stories about care homes, but he was in there for 15 months and could not have been better looked after. He was treated with dignity and kindness and the people could not do enough for him. They were also very kind to me.
To me and the family, they far exceeded expectations, they were excellent and made my husband's passing so much easier. Thank you.

Woodland Care Home, cared for my mother for about 8 weeks prior to her death. She required 24-hour care including feeding. At all times the staff treated her with love, care and professional treatment. Her room was first class as were the surroundings. We could not have chosen a better place for mothers
last days.

My darling wife was taken into care from hospital in February 2015 following a stroke on January 3rd, 2015. I spent 6 hours a day with her until she died at the home on the 12th October 2016. She was cared for so very well with so much kindness and love and I witnessed this, the staff treated me in
the same manner and my wife and I always looked on them as very dear friends.

My mother had a major stroke at the beginning of 2015 and following an initial stay in hospital for eight weeks has been a resident of Woodlands Care Home. I and the rest of my family always find the staff at the home very polite and that the care for my mother has been marvellous. She has had continuous
care which provided dignity and patience and support around the time that has been given individually to her was quite amazing in a very busy care home. I would recommend to anybody who required nursing care.

Management and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Carers go out of their way. Helpful, caring and nothing is too much to ask for. Entertainment and activities, garden fetes, music, Easter parades, Halloween and especially Xmas. Maintenance is always on hand, again always friendly and helpful. The
tubs and hanging baskets and garden is a real delight. Keep up the good work.

On the whole excellent service but there was a delay in providing assisted showers which was frustrating as I am on a 5 hour peg feed twice per day.

I thought the staff were lovely and helpful, bedroom is nice. I enjoyed the trip to the lavender farm even in the rain, breakfast was particularly nice and fresh.

I first qualified as a nurse in 1995 and have over 20 years nursing experience in a variety of settings and specialities.


I hold ENB 998 Teaching and assessing in Clinical practice, ENB 237 Cancer Nursing, BSc(Hons) Specialist Nursing Practice (Oncology)


I have a wealth of management experience within the NHS and?I am excited to have a chance to build on that within the Care Home industry. My vision is to create a home from home, where the residents are well cared for and lead fulfilling lives in a caring and friendly environment.
