My husband entered Catchpole Court in February 2016. We were straight away met by the staff, who made him comfortable in his room.
I was taken by the nurse to fill in the paperwork, then shown all around the home and introduced to the carers and made a cup of tea. Next, I met the manager and was made
to feel very welcome.
During the following months, I have been very happy with the care and attention my husband had received. Staff are always on hand to help and advice if needed.
I would certainly recommend Catchpole to any family who needed similar care.

We love this home.The staff are so caring and look after the residents so well. Today they had a hog roast day in the garden with live music. My mother in law has only been here a short time and can be really difficult but the staff take it in their stride and are able to deal with her beautifully.
She had a great time today and was even up dancing and singing along. I can't remember when I last saw her so happy as she had been in the hospital for months and a different care home who didn't have a clue how to deal with dementia patients unless they were doped up and sleeping. Catchpole Court is the perfect place for our loved ones to be looked after with care and compassion.
Thank you to the manager and her caring staff.

Catchpole Court is an excellent place. For care of loved ones you cannot fault staff management, cleaners, rooms, for the people are really looked after with care that really exceeds all expectations.

For any family who has to put a member of their loved ones into a home, it becomes very difficult. However, I would definitely recommend Catchpole Court. I regularly visit Catchpole and have found the staff very kind and caring towards all residents, (especially with Dementia and Alzheimers). The activity
leader offers much-valued support to both residents and their families and this is clear to see this benefits all.

It is a very clean and tidy home, well maintained, all the staff are very good to the residents. The carers are very good and hard working, nothing is too much trouble, rooms are clean and tidy. I would recommend it to a lot of people, the management and the nursing staff are brilliant also. The caretakers
are very good with maintaining everything, they do the painting, gardening and all the other things to make the home look better. They should have a pay rise!

I am happy with the care most of the time. My husband doesn't like noise so I would like him to sit mainly in a quiet area. I would like him to wear his glasses whilst I'm here visiting him. No problems regarding hygiene in the home. Eyes need more attention.

In extreme and very testing circumstances Catchpole performs extremely well. Dealing with dementia creates many physical and emotional problems. There is no perfect solution, the range of demands on all staff and on the facilities provided are wide ranging, The delivery of these services demands a great
deal of patience, experience (that comes with time) and compassion. In addition there are 'technical' aspects handling, hygiene, health and safety. The staff here embrace all these with a positive attitude. There are failures but these are all outweighed by the positives. I am truly grateful and satisfied with the service provided.

I am delighted to have taken over as home manager at Catchpole which has a really dedicated and caring team. I have brought more than 30 years of experience in social care into my current role, having worked in a variety of settings, including the NHS, social services and the voluntary sector, as well as the private sector. This has enabled me to develop knowledge and experience across all areas to a high level. We want to be known for delivering the highest standard of person-centred care, empowering residents and promoting independence to support physical and mental wellbeing.

I have worked at Catchpole Court for 30 years as a registered nurse. At Catchpole Court Nursing Home, I am passionate about looking after others and strive to provide excellent care to ensure that the residents feel safe and well cared for during their time at Catchpole Court.


Catchpole Court is a great place to work and I am proud to be part of a team delivering person-centred care for our residents. We are lucky to be in a wonderful area of Suffolk and outside of work my family and I love holidays in our caravan. I have two wonderful sons and a dog and we all enjoy walking across the fields.

Catchpole Court is a great place to work and I am proud of the events that we put on. The residents' happiness makes my work worthwhile. My family are important to me and I have twin boys who keep me on my toes. We enjoy family time together and walking our dog. I have been a part of the community in Sudbury all my life and enjoy being actively involved with the community.
