St Teresa’s Residential and Nursing Home is located in wonderful surroundings in the tranquil village of Corston, having a spiritual atmosphere thanks to the neighbouring chapel. It has good links to local transport and amenities, and is close to the centre of Bath.

The main house is a period residence with exquisitely paneled rooms. The magnificent parlor and lounge with carved covings and ceilings are ideal places for socialising and entertainment. The elegant country living of the past is still very much a part of the atmosphere.

Residents can take a stroll in the grounds – an apple orchard surrounding a delightful fish pond – or simply relax on the raised patio, taking in the natural beauty of the surroundings.

There are two separate wings within the buidling; the Bartelt Wing provides
general nursing and the Gainsborough Wing is focussed on dementia nursing.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and very calm, and the food is very good. Just a very comfortable place to be. Well done to the staff. Excellent care all-round.

The care my husband received was outstanding in every way, right from the admin and manageress. The nursing staff, in particular, need extra special praise as they could not have been kinder or more thoughtful. They made my husband feel safe and valued during a difficult time of his life right up to
the very end. The support that they gave my daughter and myself was truly wonderful. Many, many thanks to them all.

When my brother was moved to St Teresa's, we were very concerned because his server dementia made it impossible for him to understand what was happening. It was very difficult for him - but equally difficult for the staff - but during the six months and his care, they did their very best for him. I
and my daughters have the highest praise for the gentle and understanding care he received, especially in his last days. A wonderful place with first-class facilities. Thank you so much.

My mother stayed at St Teresa's Nursing Home for what turned out to be the last six weeks of her life, following a long illness. The home itself is in a beautiful setting and is very well cared for and immaculately clean throughout. However, what really made the difference was the wonderful team of
people working there. Without exception, I found everyone to be caring, compassionate and friendly. They dealt with difficult situations with great professionalism and seemed to work really well with the other health professionals involved in Mum's care. That this standard was maintained, even through the challenge of the COVID pandemic, was doubly impressive. Although restrictions on visiting were rightly in place, I think all the staff were trying their hardest to compensate for this with families but most importantly for the residents. I have no hesitation in recommending St Teresa's.

Since my husband was admitted to St Teresa's last year. I have found the staff to be caring, professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and I find that they treat each resident with compassion and patience. The care home is set in beautiful gardens and I think when the building alterations
are finished, will prove to be a great improvement for the resident, carer and families.

A huge thank you to the staff at St Teresa's Nursing Home for looking after our father. The care and dignity that was given to him at the end of his life were excellent. He was only with you for a short time and the support and much-needed tea's and coffee's given to us as a family was wonderful in
what was a difficult time for all of us. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, kind and understanding not only for our father but for us. Thank you is not enough to express how grateful we are. Dad was too ill to eat or attend activities.

My husband has been a resident in St Teresa's Nursing Home for eighteen months. During that time, he has received outstanding care, I have been kept fully informed at all times of his medical needs - he has dementia. He is treated with great respect and any requests of mine have always been met. I live
in the village of Corston, a mere five minutes away and visit my husband twice a day. I observe meal times and activities and both are delivered very professionally. There is always a choice. The atmosphere in the home is bright and uplifting and very positive.

Very clean home with very caring staff. The lounge room is compact but perfectly adequate. Mealtimes are at regular intervals and the staff are very attentive towards residents and visitors. Rooms are good but would benefit from more cupboard space. Would be useful to have a visitor's wash-up and clean-up
area for minor spills and cup/mug cleaning. Overall, very homely and caring environment with top staff.

Carers kind, cheerful and help me to be dignified at all times. Management extremely efficient and organised. Office and occupational therapist great. Head nurses and doctors always attentive. At times the shortage of carers is very noticeable which puts others under pressure.

Staff treat residents as individual and take time to chat and be friendly. Food can be changed to suit preferences. The manager takes time with each resident. Visitors are greeted by all staff from nursing to cleaners in a friendly way. The entrance has changing decorations/exhibits and book sales.
It is sometimes difficult to gain entry. Activities have stop-started a bit.
