Couldn't ask for our dad to be treated any better. Staff are so kind and caring. They were brilliant with our mum who was with Meadowcare Home for eight months and was treated with the care and respect she deserved despite our Mum's aggressive state of mind. Truly wonderful place. The staff treat residents
like family, they also give us the support we need.

Our father's care and wellbeing is extremely good due to the outstanding staff and lovely carers. When we visit, the staff can't do enough to make us welcome and always give us refreshments. When we leave, we are grateful for the knowledge our father is safe and getting the best care, day and night.
Our mother's short stay made our lives easier and know she was peaceful at the end.

My husband has been in Meadowcare for 5 months with severe dementia. I visit most days so am very familiar with the home. It is literally run as a family. Every individual is known and cherished. The activities and stimulation levels are great. I am so grateful for the love, care and attention they
show my husband and me.

Mum reached the point where she needed to be cared for on a full-time basis and Meadowcare Home was recommended. I contacted them and instantly had a feel-good factor after speaking to one of the management who was clearly experienced and understanding of my Mum's and families needs. There was, fortunately,
a space available and Mum moved in very quickly.


The main asset this care home is the staff. Without fail, all the staff were cheerful, helpful and, most importantly, genuinely caring. This made a big difference knowing Mum was in a good home. We also some entertainment being provided on a regular basis and their in-house cooking facilities meant we could ask for food that Mum would like.


I would not hesitate to recommend this care home if you want to ensure a loved one is looked after. The only negative we had was parking was not always straightforward at certain times of the day, not a fault of the home but meant you would sometimes have to allow a bit of time to find a place.

My Grandad was cared for 13 months, he was extremely well looked after, fantastic meals, weekly doctor visits, encouraged to take part in activities.
He sadly had dementia and couldn't do anything for himself, he was still treated with care, dignity and respect by all staff.
The manager and staff
are so welcoming and open to the care provided. They all made my Nan, Mum, and brothers feel at ease.


Nothing was ever too much trouble. We were always welcomed with a smile and the staff took pride in getting to know us and him and we joined in with the activities with the residents too.


I can only praise everyone for providing high-quality care for my Grandad in his final months
He passed peacefully away in January and the staff were helpful in what the next steps were and visibly emotional when we visited afterwards.
Two staff also attended his funeral which was lovely for my Nan and my family.
Thank you again for everything you did for my Grandad.

Alzheimer's is a dreadful debilitating disease and if the law was different, we would never have wanted to reach the stage of needing to go into a dementia home. That said, Meadowcare provided an exceptional service in sad circumstances. The staff really care and are incredibly responsive. They recruit
happy staff with a sunny disposition which makes a real difference. The team genuinely work as a team under strong, fair and professional leadership. Highly recommended.

My aunt has lived at Meadowcare Home for 7 months now having had a long protracted hospital admission. She has a long history of issues with her mental health and now dementia, but has settled incredibly well at Meadowcare. Whenever I visit she appears happy and content. The staff are caring and compassionate
in their approaches to residents and staffing levels seem good. I have also been pleased with the variety of activities available to her.

Staff ratio at Meadowcare Home, Bristol is excellent, furthermore, the staff are well trained and therefore able to deal with the most difficult situations.
For example, I have witnesses residents becoming very distressed (due to their dementia) on several occasions and the staff are very good at both
calming their anxieties and diverting their attention.

Choosing Meadowcare nursing home has been very good for my mother. She has been very settled and is never agitated, or restless when we visit her.
The staff are very approachable so if I have any concerns I can always discuss them and always come to some suitable decision.
It is reassuring to know
my mother is being cared for in a homely environment.

My mother and I viewed, and rejected a number of nursing homes before this one. This was the first that we felt confident would provide the care we wanted for my father.


The manager showed us around and made a very positive impression on Mum and me. She was energetic, warm, enthusiastic and it

was obvious that she cared very much about the residents. She had met Dad the day before and seemed to have a good understanding, from that brief meeting, what kind of man he was and what made him tick.


The room was big and clean, nicely decorated and had a lovely en-suite. The corridors were clear and uncluttered. Every member of staff we encountered on our tour smiled and said hello.


The home isn't everything we were looking for, but like most things in life, we felt we had to be prepared to make some compromises. I'm pleased to say that our first impressions and instinct were right, and we have no regrets about placing Dad in this home.

I was recommended Meadowcare nursing home by the discharge team at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. I went for a viewing. Directly as I walked through the door, there was a lovely ambience. I was greeted by friendly happy faces, who were very helpful. I was taken to the bedroom that my husband could occupy.
It was completely repainted, with bed linen and curtains to match, very pleasing. I then went to the communal area, where residents were clean and happy. I knew this was the place I could trust my husband to. After nearly 7 weeks at Meadowcare I have not been disappointed, his every need is attended to by a very special team. They keep me informed of everything I should know regarding my husband.

They cared for my wife who suddenly became unwell, as she broke her hip and had early dementia. She was cared for at Meadowcare and right from the start her every want was cared for. Her Alzheimers was handled with respect and understanding. The staff also kept an eye on any problems that might develop,
like getting out of bed in the night. My wife needed a special bed with sides to keep her safe. There is also lots of daily amusement and stimulation for the residents.
