We cannot fault the care and dignity that they give to my Nan.
She absolutely loves every single member of staff in there, they make her laugh and she loves that.
The communication that we receive from the care home is second to none. We cannot fault it, we had more communication from the care home
than we did from the hospital when Nan was there.
From a family’s perspective, the staff are friendly helpful they laugh, nothing is too much trouble and are welcoming and approachable.
Our only criticism would be the room that she is currently in, she was told that she would be moving rooms and this hasn’t happened. This is something that we will be bringing up with the care home, as we feel that when this is somebody’s home the quality of the room that she is currently in should be better.
The family and Nan are extremely happy with the care she receives, she has a smile on her face and loves being at Warmley House Care Home.
As stated, nothing is too much trouble and for that we are grateful.

Mum was admitted to Warmley House after being moved out of Hospital. This move was arranged by the hospital as a P3 funded transfer. At that time mum had significant nursing needs and the expectation of any recovery was very low. This was 10 weeks ago. Today mum is now a permanent resident of Warmley
House and has made significant improvement. I find that the care she is receiving is focused on her needs and is open to supporting her in regaining her health. The communication is proactive and actions are taken to address any feedback issues that I have raised.

Mum was admitted from hospital in December for assessment but has ended up staying four months, so far, as she has some complicated care needs. Obviously with COVID-19 restrictions, it has been difficult with no visits for first few months. Nursing staff have kept me informed about her health throughout
and now that I can visit, I can see that she is well looked after. All of the staff I’ve met, have been very friendly and helpful.

My elderly father was sent to Warmley House from hospital. He was only there for a short time before he passed away and for most of that time, we were unable to visit him, due to covid. The staff at the home were always polite and helpful when we went to the door to deliver bits and pieces and when
we were eventually allowed to visit him, I was very happy with the way he was being looked after. The staff were courteous and kind right through to the end. Thank you very much and well done.

Good care by staff, who regularly keep in touch to update us on our relative's health. Staff considerate of the current situation and how this has impacted on us, as a family. We have been very happy with the care and that our relative is in a place where she is both safe and well.

Since my mum has been at Warmley House they have been great with her and the family.
They have been so helpful and very informative. We have seen such an improvement in our mum - she is so happy and is back to herself. She feels secure and has actually made some friends.

My mum has only been at Warmley House for a short time but what I have seen, is a very caring home where residents are well looked after. Cannot fault the staff. They are lovely and nothing is too much trouble for the residents.

Mum has only been at the home a short while but she has been treated with great respect and care and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. As covid has curtailed much of their activities, the staff seem to have a wealth of imagination as to how to keep Mum happy. They keep me well informed and
I have plenty of phone calls and facetime with her.

On the few occasions I’ve been able to visit I’ve left with the feeling that my mum is in good hands. Telephone conversations with her have always been possible, and all subsequent talks with staff members about various things have been prompt and very helpful. An all-round cohesion with everyone working
there is my impression of Warmley the nine months Mum has been staying there.

My mother was at Warmley House for a couple of months for an assessment, following a stroke and prior to returning home with live-in care. This coincided with the covid lockdown, so I was only able to visit her once, just before the tightest restrictions were introduced. The visit was lovely - I sat
with Mum in the conservatory, the covid precautions were thorough but not too intrusive. Mum seemed well. All other contact was via phone and FaceTime. Mum needed help with the phone and the staff were always very helpful. The WiFi was initially unreliable, but towards the end of Mum's stay, a better system was introduced using an iPad with bookings for pre-arranged times. This worked very well and gave us a much better view of how Mum was getting on. All my dealings with the staff at Warmley House, both admin and carers/activities, were very good. Requests were handled efficiently and everyone seemed helpful, enthusiastic and genuinely caring. Thanks for everything you all did.

Dad is 94 and with a lot of help, was managing to live on his own. Then at the beginning of 2021, he fell and fractured his pelvis. After a time in hospital, he was discharged and was admitted to Warmley House for rehabilitation. It was an extremely hard time for both of us, as we could not see each
other due to COVID, however, all of the staff were very understanding and caring and helped Dad with FaceTime and phone calls so that we could keep in touch. His care was outstanding and he was soon back on his feet and we were looking at a date when he could be discharged from Warmley House’s care. It was obvious Dad couldn’t go back to living on his own so I looked at several private nursing homes and at 24hr nursing care in his own home. I explained the options to Dad and asked him what he would like to do he said “can I stay here” an option I hadn’t given him so I think that says it all. The care and support that he has received from all the staff has been outstanding.

Since mid-March 2020, we’ve been unable to visit because of Covid and sadly, my father died of C19 in early May, so this review is somewhat limited. Over the last 6 months of Dad’s life, things at Warmley House had improved, I think. Staff seemed more settled with fewer agency personnel coming and going,
targeted decor panels to support and trigger memories for dementia residents, more cosy dining areas with fresh table linen and new upholstery and soft furnishings in many areas.

All the staff at Warmley House have been first class in looking after my sister's needs and have kept me in the loop with contacting me most days to update me on my sister's needs. I find the staff at Warmley House first-class and would recommend this care home widely.

My husband came from the hospital straight to the home. I have had one restricted visit due to Covid so it is difficult for me to comment on many aspects of the home because I have not been allowed in to see how it operates. I can say I am most impressed about how they keep me informed, my husband is
very poorly but I feel I know how he is daily which puts my mind at rest. The staff appear kind and considerate and obviously get on well with my husband which we both appreciate. After his initial assessment, I hope my husband can continue to stay at Warmley House as they seem to have his best interests to heart, which in these difficult times is all I can hope for.

My mum was moved here from hospital in November and after hearing mixed reviews we were worried about how she was going to like it and get on here. Thankfully she felt welcomed and was well looked after during her six weeks here. Most of the staff and carers were lovely to her and she told us the food
was wonderful. We could only visit a couple of times due to the pandemic but on both occasions, staff were great and professional. Unfortunately mum passed just a week after leaving here so we were very thankful that her last few weeks were comfortable.

My brother, sadly, is very ill and has numerous medical complications; he has terminal cancer, still requires dialysis three times a week and is receiving palliative care. Therefore, his care is not particularly straight forward, but I have to say we could not be happier with the care he is receiving.
The staff, from those who run the care home to all the nurses, are superb, they are all so helpful, thoughtful and caring. In these unprecedented times and during lockdown itself visiting is difficult, but at times of crisis, we have been allowed to visit and important when we can't routinely visit the nurses have very often and proactively called us out of courtesy to let us know how he is feeling, which is so much appreciated, as too often my brother is unable to answer his phone when we call. Above all, my brother is content, he is being looked after superbly, kept as well as his health allows, comfortable and warm - I highly recommend Warmley House Care Home for your loved ones.

Mum stayed at Warmley House to convalesce as a transition between hospital and home. She had to leave the hospital a bit earlier to give space for potential covid patients. Mum's stay was made more difficult because she was unable to receive visitors, didn't understand why because of her dementia and
had to isolate in her room for 7 days on arrival, which would have felt like she was trapped. I found the staff to be very helpful whenever I phoned, whether it was to get an update on Mum, to discuss and revise medication because Mum was struggling with extreme itching. The reception staff were very understanding and supportive, despite being under great pressure.

Mum was in the nursing home for 4 years until her death. There were some lovely staff who really cared about her despite her difficulties in communicating and lack of mobility and would do their best to include her in things. It was unfortunate that during her stay there was a high turnover of staff
leading to a lot of agency staff being used. However, since a change of management, this seems to have stabilised which I am sure is a big improvement. A new coordinator for activities has also led to a big improvement and a dedicated website allows relatives and friends to observe this.

My first point of contact with Warmley House was a telephone call to make enquiries when it became evident that my husband was not going to be able to come home following an operation for a fractured hip as he was completely immobile. The person I spoke to was very professional, sympathetic and helpful.
I contacted other care homes in my area, but Warmley exceeded others based on first impressions. From the time my husband was admitted in July, all staff I have met and spoken to by phone, have been courteous, knowledgeable and helpful and I feel that I and my husband are important to them.
