My Aunt resided in Amberley House for well over 5 years during which time she received exemplary care and support from a very well-trained attentive and supportive staff team. She was really happy staying there and I can't recommend this care home enough.

My mother was placed at Amberley House Nursing Home during the last 10 days of her life. She was given excellent hourly care. All the staff I met were warm and showed great empathy for my mother and visiting family. They were able to accommodate my mum's specific needs, from tender personal care to
giving her food she could manage and looked forward to in her final days. We were able to visit anytime and were always greeted with kindness. The manager was very kind at the end as were all her staff.

My grandmother was a resident between July 2024 and October 2024 where she received palliative care. We as a family were very satisfied with her care. The staff were polite and friendly and developed a good relationship with Gran and the family. Gran was always well presented and the staff helped to
maintain her dignity and keep her comfortable. The staff communicated well with us. The room was a little small but the home is currently having an extension built. We couldn't have wished for a better place. It was a big worry for us when our Gran needed to move to a care home but it turned out that we didn't need to worry at all. Thank you to everyone at Amberley House for making a difficult time a little easier. We will be forever grateful.

My mum arrived at Amberley House Nursing home for end-of-life care. From the moment she arrived, she was calling it home. She bonded immediately with all the Staff who all treated her with dignity, compassion and respect and appreciated Mum's cheeky sense of humour. Mum was encouraged to join in with
the activities, she was nervous at first, but with encouragement from staff, she was soon touching a snake, holding a tarantula, winning bingo, baking and wine tasting all of which she thoroughly enjoyed! Staff always kept family informed on Mum's progress, with regular health updates, they respected her dietary requirements and supported her to get back on her feet, support was offered whenever needed. Towards the end of Mum's life staff were always available to offer support to family whenever required, day or night, and ensured we had all the information that was needed. I really can't thank all of the Team enough for all the happy times Mum and visiting family had at Amberley House.

Have always been very satisfied with the care my father-in-law received during his near to a year and a half stay at Amberley House. Staff were always very friendly and approachable. There was a homely atmosphere and my father-in-law enjoyed his stay there. I would not hesitate to recommend Amberley

The resident has always been so well looked after here at Amberley. Staff have been kind to her and to her various visitors and have always made us feel welcome. Whenever she had a problem there was someone to help, immediately. At all stages of her stay she has been cared for appropriately, professionally
and lovingly. I couldn't praise the team highly enough, they all work together so well. I highly recommend this care home.

Mum went into Amberley House for end-of-life care and it was the very best we could have hoped for. The medical team were all amazing and they nursed her and cared for her and made her feel very comfortable - right to the end of her life. We knew she was in a lovely place - thank you to all the staff

My dad transferred here for rehab after 2 weeks in hospital (where he wasn’t progressing). Amberley helped get him back on his feet, working on his program to rehab him.
All the staff are friendly, caring and wonderful. They looked after Dad as if he were their own and they couldn’t do enough. Once
getting to know what he liked, they made sure he didn’t miss out on anything. Food is delicious and fresh and you get to choose from a daily list for each meal. They also tweaked and adapted a few things for Dad around his diabetes and personal likes. There are activities and guests that visit too as well as the social lounge so you don’t need to be segregated in your room.
Management wise it is a very professional, friendly and superbly run home. Any questions or help were dealt with and I was never made to feel like we weren’t important. Dad was very happy there and he wouldn’t hesitate to return if need be.

After 5 and a half years at Amberley House on December 23rd, 2022, she was taken care of in a professional and pastoral way. Her 4 children were able to carry on knowing that Mum was in the best place possible. We are all very grateful and remember her last years with stoicism and philosophical conversations.
We had plenty of time to say goodbye and therefore the grief afterward was minimal.

From the moment my husband was admitted and I visited, I could tell he was going to be happy and well looked after there. I had no reservations whatsoever. Amberly House felt and was run like a neat home. I was made to feel so welcome by each and every member of staff, who were very friendly and nothing
was too much trouble. You only had to visit once and you could feel how much they not only cared about every resident but treated them with love and understanding. I've never experienced a care home as good and welcoming as Amberley House.

The care my father received since he came in for respite to enable him to become independent has been first-class. He was given his privacy and respect. Unfortunately, as his health declined, the nursing care and professionalism increased, and the staff were always on hand to liaise with the doctors
and myself. Everyone from the manager, secretary, maintenance, chef, entertainment, cleaners, and "laundry girls" to the excellent nurses and carers, both by day and night, became like family to me and my second home, for which I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Amberley provides a wonderful, caring service and have pleasure in recommending this home.

My mother resided at Amberley for the last 18 months of her life until she passed away peacefully in April 2023. During her time at Amberley, my mother was well cared for, and the staff were always very caring and kind, which was reassuring for me and my family, and they always had time to talk to us
and keep us updated. Mum loved the staff here, and even though Mum found life difficult since having a stroke, the staff always managed to make her smile. For me and my family, that speaks volumes. I and my family feel blessed that Mum spent the last stage of her life in such a caring environment. Thank you.

I find the nursing home to be very well organised and the management and staff approach is very pleasant, professional and caring. Will always find the time to talk and answer any questions. My mother-in-law can be quite difficult at times but the staff are so helpful and understanding and nothing is
too much trouble. Would not have a problem recommending it to anyone.
The front outside of the building is looking tired and could do with some tlc, before it goes to far as this would not only encure more to rectify but a more financial burden if left too long.

My overall experience of Amberley House is good. My mother-in-law is very happy here and thinks a lot of the staff working there; they are very caring, and nothing is too much trouble. It's just a pity that they are so short-staffed. Mum loves all the entertainment.

After an unfortunate fall in a Residential Home in Newquay, my Mother gained the need for full Nursing care. She was rehomed at Amberley House in Truro where she has received an excellent standard of care. The Carers, Nurses and Management do everything possible the ensure my Mother is comfortable.
I would have no hesitation recommending Amberley House.
