The fees quoted are a guide only. All potential residents will be assessed by a senior nurse or Manager from Hillcrest House and a fee proposed depending on the person's needs. Whenever funding from social services or the Health Authority are available an independent assessment is also carried out. The home is able to advise on funding that may be available some of which is not means tested. Double rooms are only used for couples or may be available as single rooms.
Visitors are welcome whenever residents would like to see them. Reception is covered 6 days a week and there is a doorbell if the reception is unattended.
To protect the residents please do not visit if experiencing any stomach upset symptoms within the last 48 hours, or have any flu symptoms. Infection Control is everyone's responsibility.
There is free parking on the level adjacent to the main reception with easy access off Barbican Road. There is a railway station in Looe and bus links.

Thanks for your review of the service, can I please reassure you that we take the level of staffing on the units very seriously and it would only be staff sickness on the day that take the levels below what they need to be, there are three activities co-ordinators whom support the service and obviously have to share their time between the units, there is a plan for visitors and relatives available on the notice boards if this helps, we are always willing for families and friends to join in. I have an open-door policy for staff and visitors should you ever need any information.

There are 3 Registerd Managers at Hillcrest House who manage the staff and oversea the care. Shelley Blyth is also Matron in our General Unit and a Registered General Nurse. Steve Jones is also manager of our Dementia Unit and a Registered Mental Nurse. They are supported by Registered Nurses with a wide range of experience.
