I would like to reassure you that all appropriate steps have been taken to ensure open and honest communication with all our next of kins. Clients' needs can change considerably over a six month period and the home will always make every effort possible to adapt in order to meet each resident's specific care needs. We are sorry that this has fallen short of your expectations however we do work closely with the adult social care team when an alternative placement is required.

Babs main interests are keeping fit and she spends a lot of her spare time as a fitness instructor, holding various classes around the local community.

In 2016, she was awarded the 'Devon Best Practice Award' for her flexicise class. She owns our 'pamper dogs' – her three Maltese – who deliver papers with her in the morning.
She is band 4 in physio and really tries to make residents' day fun; she very much believes in the 'if you don’t use it, you lose it' mentality, so she always encourages residents to participate, regardless of mobility concerns, because everyone is able to do something!
