Job Title: Owner
Joined: 2017
Peter is the Owner. He opened the home with his brother Robert in 2017. Peter previously worked as a Paramedic for South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust and had 14 years of service working in Bristol and Derriford stations. He has completed an NVQ 5 in Management and Leadership in Health and Social Care and has been the manager at The Yelverton since 2019. Peter is friendly and approachable to staff and residents. He enjoys spending time with our residents and will join them for activities within the Home.
Peter has been around care since a young age as his parents ran another local Nursing Home for 35 years, so they have passed on a lot of experience to Peter and his brother, Robert, over the years.
Job Title: Office Manager

Paige joined our team over 2 years ago, she is enthusiastic and caring. She has very good people and communication skills.
Paige has previously worked in all different areas of the care sector for the last 4 years and has now progressed into the position of Office manager. Paige has good levels of resilience and patience and prides herself on building good relationships with the staff, residents and their families.
Paige has completed her care certificate, NVQ level 3 in Health and Social care, and has a BA (Hons) in Education.

As Duty Manager at Yelverton Residential Home, Mel plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the home on a day-to-day basis. Mel brings a compassionate, organized, and proactive approach to their role, fostering a positive environment for both residents and staff alike. Mel is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of service and ensuring that each resident feels valued, safe, and at home.

Sue is a very friendly and lovely member of staff. She goes above and beyond and is dedicated to all of her residents and their families. Sue has been working with us for over five years now as a Duty manager. She is effective in her role and has good leadership skills within the team. Sue has great empathy a positive attitude and passion for her role.
Sue has over 25 years of experience within the care sector and has completed her care certificate, NVQ level 2 & 4 in Health and Social care, Level 2 end-of-life care training and is fully medication trained and has up-to-date manual handling training.
Job Title: Senior Health Care Assistant

Amy is one of our longest-serving members of staff, she joined us back in 2017 as an HCA and has worked her way up over the years and is now one of our most trusted seniors. Amy is an outgoing, loyal and trusting member of staff. She always goes above and beyond for any of her residents. She is empathetic and patient in her approach, and nothing is too much trouble for her.
Amy has completed her Care Certificate, NVQ level 2 and is fully medication trained. Amy is also our Continence Champion.
Job Title: Senior Health Care Assistant

Jess is a very bubbly and enthusiastic member of the team, she is always putting a smile on the resident's faces, by going that extra mile. Jess has been working with us for over 5 years now and has proved to be a valuable asset to our team, with her good sense of humour and caring nature.
Jess has completed her care certificate, NVQ level 3 in Health and Social care, is fully medication trained and has up-to-date manual handling training. Jess is also are current creams lead.
Job Title: Senior Healthcare Assistant

Nicola is a dedicated and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant at the Yelverton Residential home, where they play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents. With over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Nicola combines expertise in patient care with a warm and empathetic approach, ensuring that every resident receives personalized attention and support. In addition to providing direct care. Nicola has also completed her level 5 in leadership and management.
Job Title: Head Cook
Joined: 2017
Lin is our Head cook at the home and has been with us since the home opened. Lin is the most loving and friendly individual; she has built great relationships with all of our residents and has been creating delicious menus for all residents to enjoy, along with spectacular cakes for each resident’s birthday.
Lin has completed all of the relevant food hygiene courses and has completed training in diabetes dementia and fluids & nutritional needs. Our kitchen has also been graded 5 stars on the food hygiene inspection. Lin is also our diabetic champion.
Job Title: Head Housekeeper
Joined: 2018
Edyta is our head housekeeper and infection control lead, she is passionate and dedicated about her role and has great attention to detail. She and her excellent team of domestics ensure that the home has the highest level of cleanliness and that all of our residents are comfortable in their rooms.
Edyta has completed relevant COSHH training.
Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Marc is our resident maintenance man and has been with the home for nearly 6 years. He is extremely friendly and has a great sense of humour. He has been keeping the home in good shape and enjoys helping the residents complete any projects that they might have. Marc is always going the extra mile for the home.
Marc is our Health & Safety champion.
Job Title: Activities Coordinator

Frances is our activities coordinator and is really passionate about her role. She is friendly, caring, and compassionate about all our residents. She really enjoys working with the residents to develop exciting and fun activity schedules for each month. Frances also organises regular trips out of the home for our residents to enjoy.
