After my father had been in hospital for over sixty days, it was decided to move him to his forever home. I called the home to check them out and asked when I could come for a look around. They weren’t phased and we visited within half an hour. The process was quick and easy and Dad was moved in shortly
afterwards. We were warmly welcomed by all staff and residents and my mind has been put at ease, knowing all his needs will be cared for. If you are looking for a caring place for your loved ones, this is the place without a doubt.

My grandfather recently went to St James Lodge due to care not being met at home. We knew grandad would stay here until he passed as he was too poorly to return home. After an emergency meeting, grandad was taken to St James around 10pm night time where care staff were amazing and greeted us with welcome
arms. My grandfather's needs were fully met the whole 4 weeks he was there right up until he died. Fantastic staff, genuinely caring, informative and I just can't fault them. I don't know how to thank them enough. I would definitely recommend this home as a place of care to anyone.

Dad was living St James's Lodge due to the locality to his home and that they specialize in Parkinson's plus other age-related issues.
We brought dad to the home one early evening, both dad and my family were very tearful and upset but we knew there was no alternative. We were greeted with such kindness
and care from the moment we stepped through the door and dad was their priority and this continues today.
The staff are professional, courteous and extremely hard working. They show kindness and care in all aspects of dad's care and also to us the family.
I feel blessed that St James's Lodge was offered to us and dad settled in and is happy and well cared for even when he is being a grumpy old moaner.
We get a warm welcome always and there is a lot of us! We are always included in any problems, issues or worries that the staff might have or we have.

Would I recommend St James's Lodge? 100% I would.
Thank you St James's Lodge, you have put the sun back in our once very rainy days.

My father has been in St James's Lodge since the beginning of the year. On first impressions, the home is spotless with a real sense of home from home. Staff are absolutely amazing, from the site manager to kitchen staff right the way through to the matrons and managers. Nothing is too much trouble,
even when they're rushed off their feet. Always greeted with smiles and happy faces. They also have a gorgeous garden to the rear of the home with a pond well stock with fish. Easy access with wheelchairs. Very nice and relaxing. I cannot fault this home at all.

My mum spent the last few months of her life in St James’s Lodge. From the minute she was admitted (late at night) she was given a warm, reassuring welcome and reception, as did Dad and I. We were always kept updated of mum’s illness and progress throughout. Nothing was too much trouble for these kind
and caring nurses. Matron and her deputy lead from the front with professionalism, care and a clear understanding of complex medical needs (both physical and mental). The nurses and carers are dedicated and well informed. As a family we were included all the way, we were supported and made to feel very welcome and part of the family on a daily basis. When my mum passed, both Matron and a wonderful nurse ensured mum was supported and comforted, making her passing easier to cope with. At all times mum was treated with dignity and respect. I cannot thank these kind and amazing ladies enough for what they did, for not only my mum and dad, but for us, as a family.
With eternal thanks to you all.

The staff in this place are very good with all the residents and nothing is ever to much trouble. The care they are taking with my mother in law is very very poorly is second to none. They even check on us to make sure we are ok every single day. Special thanks to the manager who is in charge and extremely
good at her job and all the other girls for putting up with a very poorly old lady with attitude. We are glad we are going through this very difficult time with this bunch backing us all the way, so thank you so much ladies you will never know how much we appreciate you all

My dad has just stayed two weeks at St James’ after breaking his ankle. He was given a lovely welcome and the care that he received was excellent. The matron was kind and approachable. All the nursing staff were friendly, cheerful and couldn’t do enough when looking after my dad. He enjoyed the food
and the lady who bought the supper and the tea always had a lovely smile.

I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. There care they put into my mum was amazing, even when she was dying they made sure my mum was comfortable, my dad and I was allowed to stay with mum the whole night. My mum first went into St James 10 years ago, even when my dad had rest bite mum was in

Having spent approx 21 days in St James Lodge I would recommend this home to anyone that needed care. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too great for them . The food was very delicious and my heartfelt thanks go to the cook. There is a variety of food you can choice at each meal. My washing
was looked after and was gone about 3 hours and it would come back all clean ironed and folded. The matron is a lovely person very friendly and very caring for the individual and their needs as is all her staff. I can't speak highly enough of my stay there.
