Mount Olivet Nursing Home is a really lovely place to stay, staff are very good and very helpful.
My room is cleaned every day and is looks very homely. The views are lovely and the garden is very well kept. The conservatory has the best view.

I was admitted to Mount Olivet on the 15th of December 2022 from the hospital following a complex hip replacement. I was discharged home on the 17th of January. During my time in Mount Olivet, I developed pneumonia and was so grateful for the care I received. I found all the staff most professional
and would certainly recommend Mount Olivet as an excellent nursing home.

A lovely, well-run and clean nursing home for my dad's last few days. He had a lovely sunny room with French windows looking onto a beautiful garden. The staff were so caring and kind to Dad and our family. Nothing was too much trouble. They went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable, pain-free
and comforted right to the end. Every day he was always clean and tidy. Just as he would want. With fresh clothes and bedding. The food was excellent. Every effort was made to make his specialised eating plan as palatable as possible. On his last day, we were looked after with numerous cups of tea and food. The staff treated Dad and family with compassion, respect and dignity. Thank you so much.

The home is dirty. Has a beautiful conservatory but after the roof blinds fell off in February 2023 when the sun is out it's out of use. When it rains it leaks! The lounge took five months to decorate and is used more by staff than by residents. After making complaints we were accused of micro-managing
staff. We have now moved homes with another resident. The CQC was inspecting in April 2023 and we are awaiting the report. I feel sorry for the poor people who have no one to speak for them.

Thank you for your review. We are saddened but not surprised. We take feedback seriously to ensure we provide the very best care. Audits and feedback show the home is very clean and passed strict Infection Control checks from CQC and the Trust. Entry is by keycode and visitors must sign in before entry. Sadly, the lounge took 3 (not 5) months due to supplier delays, now enjoyed by all. You and your guests made daily use of the airy conservatory and were provided with refreshments by our dedicated team. The ceiling blind was quickly replaced by a UV filter film. As it gets full sun, it will get warm in sunnier times but not closed. You also used the pretty garden during your visits. The team set up a gazebo, seating and drinks for you.


The “micro-managing” feedback was explained clearly in our letter to you regarding your appalling conduct, not due to a formal complaint which doesn’t exist. We had many reports of your abuse to HCAs. We will never tolerate abuse. We hope your brother is now settled.

I arrived at Mount Olivet Nursing Home in February and have lived here for 5 months. I have always found the staff to be friendly and caring, they made me feel at home right from the start. The food here is wonderful as is the care. I now look upon Mount Olivet as home.

I would like to thank all of the Staff who looked after my wife during her stay there. Nothing was too much trouble and she was treated with total respect and kindness.

The staff are very caring and competent. They seem like extended family and it is reassuring that my aunt is in such a friendly home. The home is very clean. The food is excellent. Activities for the residents take place and now that visiting restrictions have been eased they happen more often.
My
aunt is vulnerable but I feel that she is in safe hands at Mount Olivet.

Our dad has resided at Mount Olivet for over 5 years now. He has late-stage Parkinson's Disease. Despite Dad's very poor health, he is treated so very well by all the staff, they all love him and that really comes across. Dad also has a lovely room with sea views so we feel very blessed as a family
that he has the best care. Every time we visit, Dad is always clean shaven and dressed. The home is kept very clean and there is plenty of staff so it is very well run. We are most grateful that Dad is at Mount Olivet.

My mother was taken ill with a urinary infection, the paramedics were called and discussed with me if she should go to hospital, they said long queue at A&E so the lovely nurses agreed to look after her. The night nurse spent most of the night with her as she was so worried. All the nurses and care
staff looked after her and got her better. So thank you one and all, that includes the cleaning staff who keep things spotless and always with a smile.

It is a wonderful home from home and the care that is given to my mum is 100%. Yesterday was Mothering Sunday and they went out of their way and provided a wonderful cream tea experience for me, my mum, sister and brother-in-law, which was very delicious and all homemade.

After two and half years of not seeing Mum due to COVID, finally, we were able to fly from Australia.
The staff - manager/carers/cleaners/catering helped make our visit to Mount Olive work. Pre trip to UK, via telephone/email the structure for visiting was organised - it worked like a dream. Each day
Mum looked comfortable and fresh. The staff demonstrated the most amazing patience with Mum when she became frustrated/upset. Her nutritional status was constantly monitored through out the day.
Face time calls from Australia are always supported despite the challenge of time difference. We appreciate the communication provided when there is an issue/concern.
The workers of Mount Olive are always welcoming plus, with the standard of care they give the residents, are a credit to Mount Olive. We are so happy knowing Mum is with Mount Olive, receiving holistic care (physical/mental), spending her last years being pampered, respected and given the dignity any person in her unfortunate situation, post stoke, deserves. A big thank you!

I have been impressed and delighted by every aspect of Mum's care here. She is treated with kindness, respect with attention to every detail. Staff are professional, cheerful, communicative, patient and go above and beyond to ensure the job they do is high quality. Mum has a beautiful room which makes
visiting for the family much easier along with the ability to go downstairs and make ourselves a cuppa. All the systems that you might expect are in place. Mount Olivet is wonderful and an answer to prayer.

Everyone wants to know their relative is being looked after with professionalism, kindness and respect. I feel all of these are being delivered by the manager and her team. Most important to me is the fact that everyone I meet is kin, really kind to us, as a family. They take time to talk to us, communicate
what is going on and look after the whole family. I always feel welcome. I feel content that mum is being looked after safely and kindly when I’m not there.
The property is lovely. Mum isn’t able to appreciate that too much but spending lots of time there at the moment, the family does. The home goes that extra mile to care. I can’t think of any ‘constructive criticism’ to add, it's all been good. Thank you.

My dad was in Mount Olive for just over a year and I was extremely happy with the care he received there. The staff were very caring and treated him with a lot of dignity. The manager was outstanding and always made time to talk to me about dad and regularly spent time with dad too. I wouldn't hesitate
