Residents can join in as much or as little as they wish.

Meals are freshly prepared on-site using local fruit, vegetable and meat suppliers and a daily choice from the menu ensures all tastes are catered for including special dietary needs.

Having seen a variety of nursing and care homes I was impressed by the high standard of care that Mount Olivet provides.
My father in law receives loving and caring attention at all times of the day and night. He was respected and listened to and we were always informed of his condition.

My father was in Mount Olivet Nursing Home for a year. I cannot thank the staff enough for the love and dignity they gave to my father and to us as a family. Their end of life care was exceptional. They guided us through this difficult time with sensitivity and understanding. I would highly recommend

I cannot speak highly enough of the care and respect with which my sister was looked after at Mount Olivet. She was terminally ill and spent the final 5 months of her life there. The staff cared for her and her family throughout her period there as caringly as they did for her.

My Aunt spent the last two weeks of her life in Mount Olivet home. The standard of care was excellent. The staff were so caring, thoughtful and attentive. She told me that they were amazing in the way they cared for her (as she had been a director of nurse education that was high praise). Turned her
regularly, brushed her hair and treated her with great dignity. Everything was also very clean. We could not have asked for more. Thank you.

From the time my sister was admitted for care, everyone was kindness itself and couldn't have been more helpful.
She was extremely happy, although very ill, felt wanted and loved.
Nothing was too much trouble and if she asked for anything it was immediately brought.

A lovely nursing home, I work away at sea knowing my mum is well cared for. Very kind and caring staff. My mum who has suffered several strokes is unable to do anything except say very few words. She is in a very caring, well-managed place where the staff manage to make her laugh in a cruel existence.
The whole ambience of the nursing home is a home of great care and management. My mum is very happy there. My mum enjoys pet/dog visits and wants them daily!! Thank you.

My first visit to the care home showed clearly why it had received an 'outstanding' rating in the CQC report. The level of concern for the resident and for his friends/family was immediately obvious and the attention to detail of the resident's needs was remarkable.
The level of concern shown regarding
the move from hospital was also very encouraging. It was very clear that the priority was well-being of the resident. This has been maintained since.
The complex medical needs, including arrangement of medical appointments, are dealt with in a professional and very organised manner. Every member of the staff, not only the 'front line' nursing staff but also those working to maintain the building or launder clothes, are respectful, kind, pleasant, supportive and upbeat.
The nursing staff are always ready to listen to concerns about our resident friend. It is very challenging to engage all residents in activities. We would like to see our friend interact more, but he is reluctant to do so.

My friend moved into Mount Olivet 2 1/2 years ago after she had fractured her left femur. Since that time sadly her dementia slowly took away her ability to do things for herself. The nursing and care staff at Mount Olivet always put my friend's personal welfare and dignity first. She could not have
been better cared for and was treated with both respect and affection. Sadly, my friend died at the end of August but she was well cared for to the end and died in her own room with those who cared for her by her side and she was at peace.

A friend of ours is currently being looked after in Mount Olivet Nursing Home. He is suffering from dementia and is bedridden but has all his needs seen to in a caring manner from all the staff. The home is very clean and we know he is in the best place.

I really would not fault Mount Olivet, neither would mum. Within a couple of days, she regarded it as home and was completely relaxed and happy. She said staff could not have been better or more helpful. I was always made to feel welcome it certainly felt like home. The help and support from initial
contact and all of mum's stay could not be bettered. Thank you all so much for making a difficult time easier.
