Job Title: Home Manager
I started my career as a secretary for Lloyds Bank in 1981 and became a PA for the Business Banking Managers. The Business Banking department relocated to Poole in 2007 and I decided it was time for a change because of the travelling. An advertisement for an part time administrator/Activities person at Highcliffe Nursing Home caught my eye and I have never looked back. The company have supported me to progress in my career from Administrator to Business Manager, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager at Highcliffe now including Operations Manager for the South. I love being around and supporting elderly people as I had such a close relationship with my grandparents that I thought this was the job for me and it is. I am passionate that we provide the best care, lots of laugh and fun which we do our very best to provide.
Job Title: Deputy Manager
I am an enthusiastic, caring, and dependable registered nurse who thrives on making a difference. With over 15 years of care experience, I started my career as a health care assistant and progressed my way up to senior care assistant before I went on to complete my nursing degree back in 2019. I started working at Highcliffe Nursing in February 2024, I am the home's deputy manager. I love that Highcliffe Nursing Home has its ethos of care built around its residents. I have a passion for helping people achieve their best possible level of health and well-being, and I can continue doing so thanks to this positive culture Highcliffe Nursing Home has. In my free time, I do a lot of volunteering in and around the community of Highcliffe, I also enjoy setting up and participating in charity fundraisers for local charities and charities close to my heart, such as the Alzheimer’s Society and MacMillan Cancer Support.

Emma and her partner moved from North Devon to Dorset in May 2022. Her background is in office administration and reception duties and she has previously worked as a medical receptionist. She has been able to bring all her experience into her role at Highcliffe. On days off, she loves going on long walks in the New Forest and along the beach.
