Farway Grange Care Home is a lovely 35-bed nursing home occupying a two former mansion houses in leafy Queens Park with an amazing team of carers along with award-winning gardens. The home offers nursing and residential care to older people and those with physical disabilities.

My husband has been at Farway Grange in Howard Road for over 2 years. He has been close to death several times. With the help of the nursing home and the hospital, he pulls through.
The manager visited my husband in hospital - which we thought was really lovely. The staff are lovely, kind, helpful
and always there when you need them. There is a quiet calm atmosphere. When I walk into the building I always have a warm welcome and offered a cuppa.
I wish all nursing and care homes were this good. They give 100%. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Our dear mum was admitted to Farway Grange Care Home Nursing Home via the fast track process due to terminal cancer. All the staff and management team have done everything possible to make sure our mum is as comfortable as they can. The home is small and homely and the residents are treated with respect
for their dignity and with genuine care for their well-being. Family members are greatly welcomed and encouraged to be part of the home's family orientated philosophy. Our mum is very ill but we do know she is cared about.

My wife suffered severe strokes 3 years ago which left her unable to speak and can only move her left arm a little, but her spirit most days is good, due to the excellent care she is given. All the homes staff are excellent and do communicate to her with smiles and hand holding. Maybe they could equalled
but I doubt they could be surpassed.

My husband was terminally ill with lung cancer and was transferred to Farway Grange from the hospital in November 2016. He settled in quickly and with the great care from all the staff managed to have six weeks of comfortable and well-cared life that he doubtfully would have had if he had stayed in
the hospital. I would like to thank all the staff for making his and my life a little easier in this very difficult time.

My father was taken from Poole Hospital. He had very good care and they looked after me and my mother. They even talked to him in his own language. Personal hygiene was very good and was treated with dignity and respect. I would recommend this home.

Farway Grange is the most incredible place full of caring warmth. The hard working team are a family who work together to achieve the most homely environment, where each resident is cared for with professionalism, love and patience. Their ever changing requirements are quickly identified and acted upon.
Family and friends are actively encouraged to be part of the caring process and for us personally the constant care and support were unbelievable. After an all-night vigil breakfast was quietly served without fuss, but with a warm smile for exhausted relatives. A positive communication pathway existed from the beginning and we were constantly updated and played a full part. We knew that our loved one was safe, warm and cared for. Above all Farway Grange shows respect for its residents. Ill and emotionally fragile when they arrive, Farway Grange becomes their new home. Indeed it became our second home for those last few precious months. Our family will always be eternally grateful.

My brother passed away a year ago, but lived at Farway grange for about five years before he passed and I can say our family had peace of mind that he was being cared for by some very lovely people, who always treated him so lovely and friendly. He was not always the easiest of patients as he had Ms
and slight dementia, but they were always so patient with him. We were, and still are so grateful for all they did for him and always tried to give him the best quality of life. Thank you again from all family. After his passing, the management and staff were so kind, I myself was unable to return to the home as I was so upset, so they kindly packaged his belongings up for us, and when my partner went to collect, they sat and had a coffee with him before he left. I can not recommend this care home more highly.

My mother was accepted at this nursing home after she was given notice by her previous care home. What a difference. This is a small home but that is homely, staff and management friendly and approachable and any problems or queries addressed professionally and quickly. My mother has been here 16 months
and has settled well. I am confident my mother is well cared for and have no concerns for her wellbeing. When weather permits the garden area and large ponds offer a quiet area to enjoy. A safe and caring environment.

My name is Amber, I am a Registered Nurse as well as the Registered Manager for both of Amrial Care’s Services, One being Nursing Care the other Supported Living for people with Mental Health Diagnosis.


I have worked within the Care sector for 19years, firstly as a Health Care Assistant I then went on to do my Nursing Degree and have worked within the Care Home environment since qualifying. I chose to remain in the Care Home environment as I feel you have a more personal relationship with your residents/service users.


After 5 years of being qualified I then took the role as Deputy Manager in a Dementia Specialist Home which I did for 3 years before branching out to become a Manager with Amrial.

My name is Pauline, I work for Amrial as the Head of Care & Wellbeing over two different services, one is for Elderly Nursing Care the other is Supported Living for people with Mental Health Diagnosis.


I have worked within the Care Sector for over 30 years where I have gained lots of experience, knowledge, and Qualifications. Having started in the Care Industry with no experience and wondering if the job would be right career choice, but after 4 shifts I knew this was going to be my career.


I have worked in the Care Home environment for many years then branched out to the NHS where I worked on an acutely Ill dementia ward for 10 years gaining many clinical skills, then I returned to the Care Home environment, where I have enjoyed sharing my skills and knowledge with my colleagues.


I am very passionate about the Services I work within and enjoy being part of the team who are as passionate as I am, allowing service users to feel valued and respected.
