Our care fees for self-funded and local authority funded residents are subject to a preadmission needs assessment which is a requirement of admission, so the Home can fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. The prices quoted are weekly and for guidance only. They will be confirmed following a full assessment. Respite care may be offered and is usually 10% above the permanent care fees, subject to availability and will depend on an assessment of a person’s care needs.

This is not a person's normal reaction to the home and for this reason I shall be investigating some of the claims you have shared. I would be very happy to meet with you and discuss this further, I could provide you with some context regarding some of the things you have mentioned, for example, the secure main door does not open when you ring, it is fitted with a camera, it is opened remotely once a senior team member has checked to see who it is at the door, the ring simply alerts the team member that someone requires access into the home. I lead by example and I’m very passionate about dementia care being centred on the person rather than the environment. I believe any person should be encouraged to lead their care with support.
I have been involved in dementia care for over 30 years. I joined RMBI Care Co. in 2020 as a Dementia Lead, and I continuously seek training and peer support to enhance the lives of those living with dementia.
I am an advocate for any person with dementia and extend this to our communities, where I carry out awareness sessions to promote outstanding dementia care.
My saying is a person first, dementia second.
