Built in the 1840s, this magnificent house was redesigned and refurbished in the early 1980s. It is situated in its own grounds, a short walk from the beach in a peaceful area of Westbourne, near Bournemouth. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well maintained, providing pleasant areas to sit and walk with sufficient space for disabled access.

Zetland Court provides residential care, nursing and residential dementia support for up to 71 residents.

The level of care each person receives will depend on their individual needs. This is continuously monitored and reviewed to ensure each person receives the right level of care. Please contact Zetland Court for further information.

This home has made me proud to be a mason as the care my sister has received, has been of the highest standard. Due to her illness and therefore medication it has not been easy for her to adjust to this confined situation, yet the staff have been sympathetic and knowledgeable in their dealings with

My mother at 92 is missing her family as we live in the USA and South Africa 'but' she calls the staff at Zetland Court 'her' second family. She never stops praising the whole team and my own experience with the team is of a dedicated team, who always have time and are willing to assist and help without
treating the residents as numbers, but always as individual people. Congratulations to Zetland and the team.

I am writing this for my husband as he is partially sighted. He moved to Zetland Court in August after falling down the stairs and breaking a bone in the bottom of his spine. The staff here have been extremely good helping him to come to terms with the fact that he will be unable to walk again and
he needs two people to help him all the time. The activities are superb!! After being married for 54 years he needed to go into a care home we couldn't have chosen better.

I am completing this review on behalf of my mother whom has lived at Zetland Court Care Home for nearly five years. She is quite happy with the care that she is receiving.
the care home itself is very comfortable and clean. There is plenty of choice of entertainment provided at this home to suit all
tastes. I usually visit my mother twice a week and am always made welcome by the staff.
The only thing that could be improved upon is occasionally the food, as the meat can be tough and can sometimes look and taste insipid.

All of our Homes have fully serviced kitchens with on-site chefs and catering staff.
They use fresh produce to create appetising meals and a variety of cuisines, catering for all tastes.
We provide healthy meals each day to help you maintain a balanced diet. Special diets are also catered for.
Although residents are given a choice of meals each day, we encourage them to contribute ideas to the menus.

Although a new resident at Zetland Court the initial experience has been one of care and consideration. The food served has also been very good and all cooked to order on site. My room is airy and spacious and includes all the facilities required including an en suite too. Visitors are also made very
welcome with tea/coffee and cakes being made available. Zetland Court has been known to me for many years and is a home for Masons.

I lead by example and I’m very passionate about dementia care being centred on the person rather than the environment. I believe any person should be encouraged to lead their care with support.


I have been involved in dementia care for over 30 years. I joined RMBI Care Co. in 2020 as a Dementia Lead, and I continuously seek training and peer support to enhance the lives of those living with dementia.

I am an advocate for any person with dementia and extend this to our communities, where I carry out awareness sessions to promote outstanding dementia care.


My saying is a person first, dementia second.
