Canford Chase is situated in the select area of Branksome Park and is within easy reach of the award-winning beaches of Poole and Bournemouth. Set in a secluded peaceful garden, it offers five-star luxury accommodation for fifty-two residents.

Residents enjoy companionship and can join in with singing, music, exercise and arts and crafts sessions. There is the opportunity for gentle gardening activities in the summer sunshine, and there is a busy pen pal scheme.
The home is registered for nursing care and staffed by dedicated nurses and health care professionals with extensive experience in caring for age-related conditions and fully trained in infection control.

Canford Chase is situated in the grounds of a large secluded garden with easy access, mature trees and various seating areas. The tastefully furnished reception with seating area adjoins the extensive ground floor lounge with a large flat-screen television.

The spacious dining room overlooks the grounds and garden. On the first floor, the quiet lounge gives on to two balcony areas. The large and airy lounge on the second floor provides additional television viewing facilities. The home has its own fully equipped hairdressing salon and a selection of specialist bathrooms including a hydrotherapy bath.

My father has been a resident of Canford Chase for circa eight months. During that time I have visited him most days and witnessed first hand the treatment he has received. Whilst not medically trained, I have run businesses and employed hundreds of people, so hopefully I can judge staff and I have
found the staff at Canford Chase and the care they give to be exemplary.

When my elderly parents-in-law reached a crisis point, in poor health and unable to manage at home, we found immediate support and exceptional care at Canford Chase - with an emergency out-of-hours evaluation and admission.
The compassionate team provided outstanding care, comfort and dignity, ensuring
peace of mind during a difficult time. I can't express enough the relief of handing over to professionals. The level of attention, communication, and quality of food and facilities were truly five-star. Their dedication made an immeasurable difference, allowing us to focus on spending precious time together without the burden of care. The team have gone over and above with their genuine interest, care and compassion for all of our family, especially in end-of-life care. We will forever be grateful. My mother stayed at Canford Chase for two weeks respite care and to consider her options now that she needs help with daily tasks.
The facilities are first class, the staff are wonderful and the food is excellent.
She was looked after very well and enjoyed having people around her.

Canford Chase is a wonderful home where everyone took the time to get to know my mother and help her settle in. I enjoyed visiting as I felt welcome anytime of day and the garden was such a lovely place to be able to spend time with her. Mum enjoyed having company around her and the food was always
good quality and varied, while her room was was kept spotless as were her clothes. Everyone who helped looked after mum was kind and compassionate and she particularly enjoyed the range of activities each day, especially the trips out. I am so grateful to everyone at Canford Chase that mum was able to enjoy her last couple of years in such an exceptional home.

My Mother has been at Canford Chase for a year and a half, and this review is long overdue. I have had experience with two other outstanding care homes for relatives, but this one truly feels more like a homely hotel than a care home. The rooms and communal areas are cosy and do not have an institutional
feel. The garden is spectacular and offers frequent outings and daily activities. All staff are friendly, and kind and treat and know the residents as individuals. Their interaction is a pleasure to witness. Canford Chase has even more of a family feel since the change of manager at the end of last year, so that was the icing on the cake. I'm hugely grateful that my Mum is being so well cared for.

All experience has been very good following surgery all the staff have been excellent, nothing is too much trouble.
Activities were available each day but I chose not to attend.
I visited the garden every day when it was fine and spent time out there reading. A beautiful place to enjoy.

My mother has now been a resident in Canford Chase for over a year. Having visited many care homes in the past, this is most definitely the best and the one I would choose to be in myself. All staff are committed, caring and professional.
The facilities are excellent, the staff are friendly, kind
and helpful. All residents are kept occupied with activities, including minibus trips and the beautiful garden. In spite of my mother's deteriorating health, she is comfortable and content which brings the family great relief. Thank you.

My 96-year-old mother has been at Canford Chase for over a year. She suffers from an inability to speak and communicate, following a severe stroke. All the family feel that she is looked after extremely well, with compassion, kindness, empathy and always with humour and friendliness. She is able to
tell me very firmly "yes"! When asked if she is happy there. This gives us huge peace of mind, as we love our mother dearly.

Canford Chase puts 'care' at the forefront of everything and you can feel it from the moment you walk through the door and through every team member there. Long tenured staff, a sign of a well managed organisation with a strong culture, are at the heart of this, combined with well organised processes
and systems to match. The staff helped care for both of my parents, bringing them back to health after lengthy periods in hospital and a level of co-dependence that allowed them to return home (with care). The building and rooms are very well maintained (a special shout out to the cleaning staff who keep it immaculate) and the gardens are a place of tranquillity and beauty. The carers and nurses were exceptional and have to take credit for bringing them back to health, combined with plenty of good food. When the need arises again we'll have no hesitation is trying to secure Canford Chase as our first choice care home.

My mother was a resident at Canford Chase Care Home for nearly two years until she finally passed away there. The home is wonderful and the staff are amazing. Everyone was so friendly towards my siblings and I when we visited but were also so lovely to my mother, everyone always calling her by name
and treating her with kindness and respect. The staff are lovely, always friendly and chatty. This includes the gardener and hairdresser. The gardens at Canford Chase are beautiful and we spent many a happy afternoon sitting outside. We were delighted my mother chose Canford Chase to spend the remainder of her days once she realised she could no longer manage to live alone. Thank you everyone.

This home is beautiful - from the delightful gardens and friendly gardener to the well-furnished and thought-out rooms, however, it is the staff who are outstanding. At all times my father was treated with kindness and consideration - as were we, his relatives. It is such a hard decision to enter residential
care - whether from the perspective of the person requiring the care or their relatives and everyone in this home did their best to make the transition as smooth as possible. The staff soon recognised me and remembered my name (which made me feel special) - I was made to feel important to them and, as much as possible, felt at home. At times when I felt low, the staff were very sensitive to this and gave me space and support when required. I could not have asked for more.

Canford Chase Care Home is a very special place. My first month here has been so enjoyable. Everyone is friendly, helpful and always greets me with a smile and knows my name. A longstanding friend spent two and a half years at Canford Chase having decided that he no longer wished to live on his own in a large house. He greatly enjoyed the company of others, the excellent food and the level of care he received from all the staff.
He was very happy and only regretted not
making the decision to enter a care home earlier.
He always had a smile on his face whenever I visited him which was of great comfort to me as having no family I was effectively his next of kin.
When he passed away last month the staff were extremely sympathetic and made numerous tributes to a man sadly missed.
