Magna Care Centre is an attractive Mediterranean style building located within a beautiful conservation area. It offers the highest levels of specialist nursing and residential care for 63 older people, including trial stays, short stays, convalescent care and long-term care for individuals or couples.

The home provides light and spacious accommodation throughout with wonderful landscaped gardens specially designed to be attractive in all seasons. The gardens feature a number of attractive water features, palms, exotic plants and terraces which have commanding views across five acres of grounds.

The team at Magna Care Centre take pride in supporting independence and variety. Staff are all dementia trained and understand the importance of meaningful activities. Through a dedicated activities plan generated by two on-site activities coordinators, residents' hobbies and interests are encouraged and supported at the home where possible.

Dining is an important part of the day to day life at Magna Care Centre. The chefs, along with the hospitality team, work hard to offer varied menus whilst promoting a balanced diet. Specialist training also equips the team with the skills to offer all residents a positive experience, including those living with dementia or dysphagia. Outside regular meal times, residents can enjoy freshly ground coffee and snacks and the popular snack bar.

Mum had to move due to her currently home closing, resulting in a quick decision on her next home.

Kayleigh is our Home Manager at Magna Care Centre, here’s a little bit more about herself and the home in her own words:


“I lead a professional team in providing the highest standards of residential and nursing care for our residents with varying needs. During my early career, I gained a breadth of medical knowledge, including intensive, elderly and stroke care. With over 9 years working at Magna Care Centre as a Registered Nurse and then as Deputy Manager I bring experience and knowledge of the residents, families and local community to my role.


I am passionate about ensuring residents have dignified and respectful care and enriching their lives with social interaction. If I can make a difference to just one person a day it makes my job worthwhile.


Magna is a relaxed home-from-home. The calm and welcoming atmosphere is down to the fantastic caring team that supports me. Nothing is ever too much and they are always ready to go the extra mile when needed, an absolute credit to me, our home and our company.”
