Owing to an unusual situation, extra care and advice was needed from the General Manager and Regional Manager. They were extraordinary; compassionate, understanding and determined. They made themselves available to us at any time of day - responding to emails at 6am or 8pm on a Friday. I can wholeheartedly
testify that they both put people first. The General Manager made herself available to us on a Saturday afternoon, and the Regional Manager was still responding to emails on a Sunday evening. The care my aunt has received in her first two weeks has been terrific. It's a difficult and very sad situation for all the family when residential care becomes necessary - this is inevitable. Within a few days, my aunt had developed a rapport with many of the staff and it was clear that they care a great deal for her and are curious about who she was before Alzheimer's. To the care staff and the whole team - thank you!

Barchester Badgeworth Court supported us to enable our mother to move in for respite care after a fall within 2 days of the initial enquiry. Alterations to furnishings required were made promptly. Mum who hadn't been eating, started eating again, particularly enjoying the soups. Care was always considerate
and Mum was treated with dignity. Having experienced a number of care homes with various relatives, we would return here.

My mother spent a month at Badgeworth Court recently to recover after a spell in hospital. This was her third stay at Badgeworth Court and, as with her previous stays, we found the staff amazing. Very organised, friendly and helpful. The facilities are also excellent.

I really cannot fault Barchester Badgeworth Court Care Home. A lovely place where the staff are so nice and friendly. The food provided was healthy and nutritious and enjoyed. Bedrooms are comfortable with en-suite facilities plus lovely outside gardens and space to take advantage of when the weather
is nice. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a care home in the area after my dad stayed there.

We as a family was very worried and guilty for having to report a care home facility for the care and safety of our mother.
We needn't have worried as all the staff made the transition go so smoothly. Our mother has settled in straight away which has made a huge impact on all the family.

I have first come home after 14 days care having had hip replacement. I felt nervous staff not very communicative only desk staff to explain. Food poor choice of one or one other, most were there for not meat eaters. My toilet was blocked daily despite complaining the sink wasn't very clean although
I was told I could shower no one offered to help so I didn't get one. My room was vacuumed partly once a week and crumbs on corner were there all week. Desk staff very friendly.

My mum has been resident at Badgeworth Court Care Home for about 2 months now. It's obviously a very difficult decision and transition when the need for full time care comes about, but I had researched and visited a number of homes in readiness for Mum's move. Whilst most homes seemed OK, I knew from
the very first minute that the Badgeworth Court Care Home was the one. Every single member of staff was professional, courteous but quite obviously very caring; a place where I knew immediately my mum would be very well looked after in a clean, well organised and caring environment. I really cannot thank them or recommend their care highly enough. Outstanding!

My mum has been a resident living with dementia and has been in Badgeworth Court Care Home for six months now and is very settled and thriving. She is so well cared for and the all staff are amazing. She joins in the activities and is eating and enjoying the food. It is a pleasure to see her smile.
Obviously, as a family we were worried about her being in care at first and whether she would like it. It was a difficult decision to make but are so glad we did. It puts our minds at rest knowing she is safe and much happier than being on her own. We would not hesitate in recommending Badgeworth Court. Thank you.

The building, grounds and decor are lovely! Rooms small! Sadly after several complaints and meetings with the care home manager and regional manager about my aunt’s very poor basic personal care/hygiene, lack of mental and social interaction with residents, and inability to find staff to raise issues
during visits-issues were never resolved so we moved my aunt to another care home! As an extended family, we have had three family members as residents in different Barchester care homes in South West UK and had to move all 3 to different care homes where all 3 received excellent personal/mental and emotional care to a high standard! Barchester homes look lovely ie buildings/grounds and decor but it all style over more important personal care and 1:1 resident interaction! Would never use Barchester care home again!

I visited my aunt in February and March 2023 and found her to be well cared for. There were lots of friendly and caring staff around all the time. My aunt has been on a trip out of the care home and she has been to a few events in the care home. The rest of my family are really impressed with how much
attention my aunty gets at Barchester Badgeworth. We can visit whenever we like without having to make an appointment and we are always offered refreshments and made to feel welcome.

I did not like the smell of urine that hits you as soon as you walked into Badgeworth Court. I felt as if Mum was 'talked at'. I never saw anyone have a meaningful conversation with her.

My mother stayed in Badgeworth Court for a short respite stay while my father had a holiday and we chose it because of its fantastic facilities and surroundings and friendly staff.
We hoped that if she enjoyed her stay there it might be somewhere she could return to when circumstances required.
Unfortunately,
and I really don't like to criticise, it seemed when she was in there that there were such chronic staff shortages the home should not have been admitting any extra patients for respite care at all.
Badgeworth Court was like the Marie Celeste and finding anyone to talk to about our mother let alone look after her when she needed the toilet was nigh on impossible. Our private carer visited and washed and changed mum herself as no one had done it for several days and she was in the same clothes she had gone in wearing.
My brother visited nearly every day and barely saw a member of staff and security was very lax. Sadly we would not use Badgeworth Court again or recommend it.

I feel very at home in this nursing home and is wonderful to be able to walk in the fresh air and enjoy days outdoors on the lawn and the trees in the summertime. The staff are helpful and take the time to enjoy free time in the garden in the summertime.

Badgeworth Court continues to care for my brother to the highest of standards. They always care for him physically so well, he is always clean, and comfortable and his complex needs catered for. On top of this, they nurture him and give him love and friendship. Something that is so important to him.
They go the extra mile, I know that I can relax and feel that he is in the best of hands.
On top of all his good care, they also have a worker that offers activities communally or one to one.

A varied and interesting programme of events. The trips are appreciated especially the shops and Christmas market visit. I enjoyed that. The staff are thoughtful and helpful. Its been a lovely Christmas period.

Hello, my name is Faye and I am the administrator at Badgeworth Court.  I have worked here since 2017, starting as a hostess on our De Clare community, moving to working on reception.  Badgeworth Court is a home from home and we are all a family, I love chatting with our residents, it is a joy to come to work everyday!

Hello, my name is Nicholas, I am the head chef at Badgeworth Court Care Centre. My catering career started in the British Army, working in all areas producing meals for the soldiers. I then worked in hospitality for 38 years all of which have greatly assisted in being able to offer our residents quality, nutritious food.


Being passionate about delivering a first-class standard, is the key to success, catering for residents here at Badgeworth Court.

Hello, I am Corinne and I am the activities coordinator at Badgeworth Court.  I previously worked in finance and wished to broaden my career. I have a diploma in Performing Arts and Business, and I have a background in the entertainment industry. I am committed to providing a broad range of activities and events with a focus on person-centred care. 


As a team, we are committed to Barchester's Life Enrichment Programme ensuring we work with mind, body and soul.

I have always been impressed by Badgeworth Court and had previously visited some members of my congregation from St Andrews Church in Churchdown who have been residents here.

Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

Hello, I am Aga and I have worked at Badgeworth Court since 2017, but have worked in the care sector for 15 years including a private hospital in the Philippines. I am most proud of my achievements with the 1066 project here at Badgeworth and have completed all levels of my advanced dementia training.


In my spare time, I love playing basketball and you will often find me indulging in my other passion, singing, with the residents.
