My father moved into the home for respite initially and this has now become his new home.
His dementia ment the move was quite difficult for him but the care and support of the management and carers helped dad and us through this transition period
Dad is now settled on Victoria where all residents
appear happy.
The entertainment ladies do a fantastic job considering the area they have to cover.
Care staff are hard working but at times seem over stretched.
If I had to be negative about anything it would be that the diet for diabetics maybe needs to be monitored a bit more closely.

Mum resides in Oldbury Cate home. She's been there for over 6 months. Staff attentive friendly. And caring.
Lots of activities including music, crafts and well behaved family pets allowed to visit. good care given

Since our mother moved into Oldbury House, during the COVID period, we have found communications to be good and staff very welcoming. Our mother is content, is well cared for and her needs know. Our mother used to have a dog, staff love dogs, and when we asked if we could bring our dogs in to see her,
this was not a problem to see her. When we have had a concern, we were confident in raising it with the appropriate staff, were listened to and were reassured or had the concern acted upon to a successful outcome. We are, therefore, happy to recommend Oldbury House.

My mother stayed at Oldbury for two-plus years. The care from the staff went above and beyond duty. The home is full of loving staff and is kept clean and tidy. The family was always kept informed of the activities that was put in place for the residents. So we could join in with them. Seasonal fun
and games days out always fun.

My dad spent about 6 weeks at Oldbury House arriving with a healed ulcer, able to walk with assistance and suffering bouts of confusion. At discharge he was tearful, begging to come home, more confused, unable to stand or walk and the ulcer reopened. His belongings were damaged by other residents. Labelled
clothing and personal effects were lost. Dad was frequently dressed in ill-fitting clothing that did not belong to him. Staff communication was poor and impossible to contact by phone or even open the door. He was discharged without medication or catheter bags despite the home having his supplies.
Staffing levels were poor given resident acuity thus Dad was left unoccupied for long periods in a cold bedroom. He was not offered any meaningful activity or help mobilising beyond basic hygiene care.
Positives - food and cleanliness plus some lovely staff. Very disturbed residents were managed reasonably. Otherwise little to recommend especially for anyone with primarily physical needs.

I have had a super experience here. It has been a real pleasure. Everyone was so kind and helpful! I would recommend anyone to stop here. The food was very good, I was very comfortable and well looked after. They couldn't do enough for me. Thank you so much.

My nan was a resident in the Adelaide unit for about 8 months after a very awful experience in another care home. We were so happy to have found a lovely caring home for Nan, she was so happy requesting endless cups of tea, staff dancing in her room to her record player and making her laugh and of course
her knitting they would help untangle on many occasions. She enjoyed the outside entertainment she loved a good old singsong. The home couldn’t do enough for her and us as a family. To the manager, we can’t thank you enough for the quick turnaround and for getting Nan into Oldbury House. Nan spent the last few months of her life truly happy and treated like a queen.

My mum's residency at Oldbury House Care Home began in November, 2023. She has dementia and is unable to walk, feed herself, clean herself or tend to herself. When we arrived on the day she was admitted the staff welcomed us in to her room and set about from the very start making her comfortable and
welcome. Did we want a drink and food? Does Mum want a TV in her room? They could not do enough for her. This treatment continued over all the time she was there (5 months). Carers were diligent, considerate and engaging with Mum. Her room was lovely, ensuite, with storage for clothes and everything else she had. Medications were administered correctly and the staff were patient with her. Good food, regular drinks and friendly staff. At Christmas the staff went the extra mile by putting all the tables together in the main room and inviting residents family and friends to pop by and join them for their Christmas dinner. It was a lovely Christmas day.

We can’t thank the staff enough for the level of care, compassion and attention to detail they showed in looking after my mother following her stroke. The team were fantastic in going above and beyond to help my mother (and us as a family) through a very difficult situation, from the individual, respectful
and compassionate relationship every member of the care staff built with my mum to the fantastic efforts of the nursing team and the attention to detail by the manager - we feel so grateful to everyone. They made her and us feel welcome and supported her and us through every stage of the journey of getting her ready to move back to a home of her own. Thank you again!

My sister has resided in Oldbury Court since January 2023, and we have nothing but praise and gratitude for the care she has received. At times of family visits, we are always made welcome, and there is always a member of staff willing to take the time to help when needed.
My sister always looks well
cared for and is always cleanly dressed and well groomed. She has settled in well.

My mother suffered a massive stroke leaving her unable to speak, walk or move which meant she needed 24/7 care. Following poor care in other facilities, we were able to find a room at Oldbury Care Home. I cannot believe how lucky we were that fate meant Mum was admitted to Oldbury. The care that Mum
receives is of the highest level. We could not have hoped for a better care home (with the emphasis on care). The nursing staff and the carers treat residents with compassion, dignity and care. The patience they show continuously towards the residents truly amazes me. The carers are always cheerful and work like troopers and I can't praise them enough for their commitment. I would also like to mention the administration staff who have been very easy to deal with and very accommodating to our needs and wishes. It's been a difficult time seeing Mum like this however, I am truly grateful to all the staff as they have given us peace of mind knowing Mum is being truly cared for.

After becoming incapacitated during an extended hospital stay, my father required care home and nursing treatment. I cannot praise highly enough the care he received at The Grange (now Oldbury House). He settled in and had the freedom to join others in activities or not as he wished. If he didn't want
to have meals in the dining room in his unit, the staff were happy to take them to his room. The staff were all caring, patient and cheerful. The end of life care was sympathetic and caring, not only for him, but also for me which made a very difficult time just a little bit easier.

My mum was a happy resident here for 17 months before she sadly passed away on March 24th 2019. She settled in quickly at the start and felt at home due to the sensible care and her relationship with her carer's They treated her with respect and dignity, with an emphasis on treating residents as people
with feelings despite their elderly and dementia conditions.
Mum loved the home cooked food. The cook would try to tempt and encourage Mum with different food's in an attempt to build her up when she became poorly. I felt it was thoughtful. Overall, nothing seemed too much trouble at The Grange.

My uncle very reluctantly moved into The Grange when it became impossible to look after him at home. His en-suite bedroom in Hardwicke Unit was spacious, bright, clean and comfortable and the staff were extremely caring and kind. Initially, the food was not to his taste but that was soon resolved and
freshly made cups of tea were available throughout the day whenever he asked for it. Boredom of sitting in a very quiet sitting room every day was overcome by the activity ladies ensuring that he was taken downstairs to a more lively area where he had company and enjoyed the wide range of activities and entertainment and he was also taken out for a ride. I am so pleased that he spent the last four months of his life in familiar surroundings that are secure and safe, where he could watch rabbits, squirrels and deer in the beautiful gardens and thank the staff for the excellent care and attention they showed to him and for making me feel so welcome during my visits.

From the very start, staff have been so caring and kind that my mother has transitioned to living here without even asking to come home. We are so relieved that she is so safe and well cared for and I have no hesitation in recommending The Grange to anyone who asks. The atmosphere is more friendly and
warm than any other care home we visited.

The staff are caring, gentle and patient which is everything for us. It's difficult that my husband isn't at home but I'm content because I know he is looked after and being cared for with dignity and in a professional manner. I couldn't possibly do this myself which confirms our decision and helps
us to accept the difficult reality. My husband's room and the premises, in general, have character and are always kept exceptionally tidy. I applaud The Grange Care Centre and highly recommend for those unfortunate enough to require this service.
