Your fees cover several areas while in their care.
These services are: Personal care, accommodation,
utilities, use of communal areas, meals, drinks and
snacks, laundry (excluding dry cleaning),
housekeeping, maintenance and activities run by the
home.
Services NOT included in price are: dentistry, chiropody,
physiotherapy, occupational therapy, opticians, hairdressing,
medications, toiletries, clothing, newspapers/magazines.
During your stay, you may need to purchase additional goods
and services. If they are able to provide such goods and
services, they will tell you how much these goods and services
will cost and they expect that you will pay for these goods and
services at the time you request them.
They can accompany loved ones to private appointments,
however the fee attached to this is £21 per hour. Where private taxi
services are used for transportation to appointments the cost should
be paid for by yourself.
Visitors welcome at any time.
Free parking is available outside the home.

Thank you for taking the time to send in a review of Grevill House. I am pleased that you were happy with the care and support we provided during his short stay with us. In terms of food and drink, I am sorry that this did not appear to meet your expectations. We do our best to cater for all tastes, taking account of dietary preferences and will always offer an alternative if desired, and it appeared that your husband had a good appetite and ate well. With regard to activities, our dedicated activities coordinator organises a full programme in consultation with residents, getting to know their preferences as they settle into the home over a period of time. I can, however, appreciate that sometimes it is not possible for individuals to take full advantage of this, particularly when with us for a relatively short time.

Reluctantly, my sister has moved to the other Orders of St John Care Trust nursing home, where our sister-in-law is also a resident and is being well cared for. This now enables me to visit both relations at the same time and relieves me of travelling unnecessary mileage.
Both care homes are under the Orders of St John Care Trust which have very high reputations for looking after residents in their care. As my sister is deaf and relies on a hearing aid she stayed in her room; therefore, she was unable to participate in the activities I noticed arranged for the residents.

With regard to your comments, there appears to be a communication issue and I would like to ensure that any misrepresentation is addressed at the earliest opportunity. To that end, I will be in touch to arrange a meeting next time you are in the home. We have an open door policy here at Grevill House and visitors are welcome to meet up with me to discuss their concerns at any time. I have witnessed my staff on many occasions offering visitors a warm drink and I am not sure why this did not happen on this occasion. To make drinks more accessible and to meet the need for visitor refreshments we are in the process of installing a refreshment station in the home.

Katarzyna Glowacka (Kasia) is a dedicated and experienced nurse with a remarkable journey in the healthcare field. Kasia's nursing career began in 1995. In 2015 she began her career with the Orders of St John Care Trust, starting as a nurse at Bohanam House.
In 2020, Kasia's passion for nursing led her to Chestnut Court, where she took on the role of Senior Nurse in the Assessment Unit. In April 2023, she became an invaluable member of the Grevill House team where on September 18, Kasia was appointed as Deputy Manager.
As Deputy Manager, Kasia plays a pivotal role in the management of Grevill House, working closely with the Home Manager to ensure that the home operates in accordance with the policies and guidelines laid down by OSJCT. Additionally, she is the Lead Person for Infection Control at Grevill.
Outside of her rewarding career, Kasia is a loving mum of two sons and enjoys various hobbies, including travelling, sailing, capturing the beauty of nature through photography, attending live music concerts, and cherishing quality time with her family.
