Northleach Court Care Home offers a high standard of very comfortable 'home from home' accommodation and great care for up to 40 elderly residents.

Northleach Court specialises in nursing and residential care, whilst offering the highest levels of quality support for all forms of dementia and Alzheimer's. Services are provided by a close-knit team of nurses and highly qualified care professionals in a comfortable, welcoming and friendly environment, making it the ideal choice for those looking for care homes in Gloucestershire.

Northleach Court is a stunning Grade II listed building located on the high street of Northleach; a beautiful Cotswold town tucked away amidst picturesque rolling hills within easy access to the A40. The home is surrounded by buildings of significant architectural interest most built out of lovely Cotswold stone making it a lovely place to visit and relax.

The nursing home in Gloucestershire is family-owned and run and has a nurse on duty 24*7. It can also accommodate those families currently looking for residential care (rather than nursing) in Gloucestershire, safe in the knowledge that residents don’t need to move home in the future if their needs become more complex.

Northleach Court also offers privately funded dementia care and the team have a deep understanding of the challenges that come with living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. They are aware of the effects it can have on both residents and their families, and each of the friendly and experienced dementia care team works closely alongside residents and their families to provide help and support.

For those who need short-term support, respite services are available whether it’s emergency respite care for the elderly, overnight respite, weekend respite care or more long-term respite.

Ever since my mother arrived at Northleach Court Care Centre, I have found every member of staff to be very caring and helpful. They have gone out of their way to keep me informed of my mother's state, ringing me to let me know. This is the best home she has been in and I would not hesitate to recommend
Northleach Court to anyone.

Dad became a resident at Northleach Court Care Centre over two years ago when his dementia was too hard to manage at home. The building, being very old is bound not to be the easiest to work in for staff but it was the spirit of a place that mattered to us most and they have that in abundance at Northleach
Court which also gave a wonderful sense of freedom to residents and visitors. The care home staff manage an array of dementia patients wonderfully and in times before covid, we felt very welcomed to come and go, join in the entertainment and feel part of the family there. Over lockdown, we felt we were kept well informed and when visits were allowed the home still welcomed us with no complaint even though bringing my elderly mum to visit also entailed more help from them. Plus having to manage residents being brought to special visit areas would, we know have brought its challenges, especially with dad who would not have liked being disturbed from his comfy chair in the residents' lounge! Well done all. Big respect and thank you.

Very friendly care staff, everyone I have met when I have come to visit my father has always been very helpful to me. My dad is very happy there and seems to be well looked after, I don't have any issues or worries about my dad being at Northleach Court Care Centre and that's a massive weight off my
mind.

The staff at Northleach have and still doing a fantastic job. My husband has been there for one year now, going from palliative care to how is now, is all down to the fantastic job of all staff dealing with him; he has started to put weight on, eating and drinking well now; I am notified on even the
smallest of things. I have no worries at all about his care, his personal care and eating as they arranged to get a soft diet for him. I know of all activities that go on for all important dates.


It has made life so much easier for me being apart from him knowing how well he is cared for.
Well done, and thank you to all staff.

Northleach Care Home had my mum as a resident from July 2019 until December 2020. Although I couldn't visit her during the lockdown, the care assistants used Facebook to keep us inform of all the shenanigans that they got up to.
It is a lovely place and Mum was settled there very quickly.

My father-in-law spent the last 6 months of his life at this wonderful place. I cannot tell you how compassionate and caring each and every member of staff were during the last 4 days of his life. They all treated my father-in-law like he was one of their own and we were so blessed to be able to be

My father has been in the home for 4 months and with a move from a previous home and the current Covid challenges, I was concerned he would struggle to settle. To the contrary, I have been delighted with the work by the Home Manager and her very professional team to accommodate my father in what has
been a painless and seamless transition. There appears to be little turnover of staff, a solid management structure and the residents are lovingly cared for and always look happy and treated with respect and dignity. A big thank you to all for their outstanding work at Northleach Court.

I will never be able to thank this care home enough! My dad should be no longer with me but after being discharged from hospital with end of life in place and me being unable to see him due to lockdown, the care home showed great strength, encouragement (for Dad and me) and care. They treat him as a
member of their own family and he survived and is still getting the best care ever.
I would rate every section higher than excellent.

My mum has been here for one year now and it has comforted me after handing over the care from myself to the wonderful staff here with the knowledge that she is safe and well cared for.
Mum can be difficult and very upset but has settled well and is happy, laughs often and has all she needs. Nothing
is too much trouble - lots of cuddles, fun and welcoming staff. So many activities, residents have plenty to keep them occupied and smiling, birthday parties and all occasions are celebrated to the full.
I can't thank you all enough - especially with the present Covid-19 situation - setting up video calling facilities to enable me to chat is helping and knowing you are all going over and beyond to keep everyone safe.

My father went to Northleach Court in early January and remained there until he passed away at the end of March. From the moment my sister and took him, we just knew he would be cared for. Due to illness, we didn't know how he felt in himself having left home. It was such a relief to see him gradually
become happy with his surroundings, and physically begin to improve. The staff are amazing, and always made us welcome and we always enjoyed being around the other residents as the atmosphere was so lovely. I often think of the staff and residents at what is a very difficult time. Personally, I can't thank them enough for their support over the past three months. Thank you.

My mother-in-law came in quite suddenly for respite care. Immediately, the staff made her feel welcome and reassured us as her family. Her care has been and continues to be fantastic. Communication from staff has been superb. We feel confident that my mother-in-law is safe and well cared for.

My uncle has been here a year this month and in that time I am pleased to see a huge change in furniture, fittings, standards in care and staffing. My 91-year-old dad moved into Northleach Court in early August and has settled in really well. It's always a tough decision to move to a care home but we and he have no regrets at all with choosing Northleach Court. The level of care is of a high standard, he's eating well and there are plenty of meals
and regular snacks and drinks, which are ideal as his appetite was waning and he was losing weight.
One thing I really want to call out though are the staff at the home. Every single one is friendly and patient, they greet the residents by name and settle those that get a little confused or upset - I can't fault them, lovely people.

Jerry James

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2023

Jerry has been a Registered Manager for more than 20 years working with Adults with Learning Disabilities, Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities, Support Living services, Commissioning Domiciliary Care services and also both residential and Nursing Older People services including Dementia. Jerry attained her RMA and Level 4 in Health and Social Care in 2003/2004 and her Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2015. Jerry is a Dementia Lead and is very passionate about ensuring those whom we support receive the best quality of care and support.


In her spare time, Jerry likes to spend time with her family and her two German Shepherds Blue and Kulu, taking them for walks. Jerry also likes to travel to different parts of the world, and in her spare time paints with watercolours and makes and crafts jewellery.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Cassie has over 10 years of experience within the care sector.


She has worked across multiple departments in the care sector, working up from a carer to a team leader and a unit manager and now as deputy manager. Cassie has background experience supporting homes in inspections and Audits and is determined to use all these skills in her new role.


Cassie is providing proactive support to our Home manager across all aspects of home management, providing a safe, caring, stimulating and homely environment for the people we support and their families.


She is working with the manager to develop staff rotas that use resources efficiently whilst ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained to meet our resident's needs.


Cassie is putting a large level of attention to ensuring that all care staff are following a person-centred approach to their care, ensuring every resident has a personal experience with us at Northleach Court.

Jack is our administrator. He is overlooking all administrative sides of our home and works closely with families, residents, and staff.


He is here to support the Home Manager over the full range of reception, administrative, clerical, and external liaison functions. He is generally contributing to the efficient and effective running of the home and undertakes certain designed financial functions.


Jack is here to assist and support with administrative and clerical tasks to support key employees.


He is also one of our Dignity Champions, delegated to ensure the residents in our care are treated with respect and dignity in every aspect of their life at Northleach Court.

Job Title: Head Chef

Ruben is our Head chef with many years of experience. He is very passionate about the food for our residents.


He is responsible for the highest standards for Environmental Health Food safety and hygiene standards.


Ruben is preparing 4 weekly rotating menus to provide a variety of hot and cold nourishing meals and snacks for our residents and he always ensures that all allergies are catered for and IDDSI standards are met where necessary.


He provides a variety of food and is well-balanced to meet all diets of our residents.


Angela and Narcis

Angela and Narcis

Job Title: Senior Carers

Angela and Narcis are our Senior Carers working on days. Both are highly qualified and always ensure that the care needs of our residents are met.


She and Narcis take a leading role in ensuring that the personal needs of residents are met in s way that respects their dignity and promotes independence.


Angela and Narcis actively encourage staff to provide the best possible care environment by promoting a friendly, homely atmosphere and generally helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our home.


She and Narcis maintain vigilance concerning the quality of activity in the home and assist the Home Manager to improve the service for our residents.


Angela is also one of our Dementia Champions and has had additional training in dementia, how it works and strategies for dealing with the challenges that Dementia can bring. She instils her knowledge every day, supporting the residents, and supporting staff by guiding them with best practice suggestions, and additional dementia training in the home.


Narcis is one of our infection control champions, using his advanced knowledge to ensure the home is vigilant in the reduction of cross-contamination. He supports the staff to ensure safe and best practice is being carried out across the home to ensure all the staff and residents are kept safe.

Job Title: Activities Coordinators

Christina and Jenny are our lovely Activities people. Christina and Jenny spend a vast amount of the day with the residents participating in activities for them and keeping them stimulated.


Christina and Jenny have got a good knowledge of their likes and dislikes therefore ensuring a good variety of activities to suit all our residents’ needs.


Christina and Jenny organise daily activities for our residents. Activities are mostly multi-sensory oriented to help residents living with dementia increase their concentration and communication.

Debbie, as our gardener, ensures the grounds are maintained to a high standard and she provides our residents with a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment in which our residents live.
