Northleach Court specialises in nursing and residential care, whilst offering the highest levels of quality support for all forms of dementia and Alzheimer's. Services are provided by a close-knit team of nurses and highly qualified care professionals in a comfortable, welcoming and friendly environment, making it the ideal choice for those looking for care homes in Gloucestershire.

Northleach Court is a stunning Grade II listed building located on the high street of Northleach; a beautiful Cotswold town tucked away amidst picturesque rolling hills within easy access to the A40. The home is surrounded by buildings of significant architectural interest most built out of lovely Cotswold stone making it a lovely place to visit and relax.

The nursing home in Gloucestershire is family-owned and run and has a nurse on duty 24*7. It can also accommodate those families currently looking for residential care (rather than nursing) in Gloucestershire, safe in the knowledge that residents don’t need to move home in the future if their needs become more complex.

Northleach Court also offers privately funded dementia care and the team have a deep understanding of the challenges that come with living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Words cannot express my gratitude to the home and its staff. Dad passed away there and could not have been in more capable caring hands. The home is lovely.

I came at the end of June after release from hospital with a broken ankle. My mental and physical capacity is very good so my treatment has been wonderful. The care for me and others is very special. The nurses and staff do all they can. Their loyalty to others that can't help themselves is outstanding.
I have been in a quiet room with all the comforts I can be given. Thank you all.

My father is back at Northleach Court after a long stay in hospital. The care and attention he receives have so far been excellent. We are, as a family, grateful for staff who have offered us excellent support and ensured my father receives excellent care and attention. This has taken a lot of pressure
off the family knowing that he is in good hands. Northleach Court is at last being upgraded by the new owners and my father has one of the new rooms which makes his stay even more comfortable. Thank you to all the staff and team at Northleach Court.

Lack of staff seems to be a problem. Residents are not toileted or mobilised enough, although this has been discussed. Personal hygiene is poor, often hands dirty and hair washing and bathing is not often enough.
Although the majority of staff are very caring and nice, there is a lot of training that
would be beneficial.

We bought Northleach Court from Blanchworth around the time your review relates to and we are very much aware of the poor performance of the previous owner.
As I hope you have already seen, we are very committed to making many fundamental changes in all areas including management, improving staffing, changing standards, providing far more training and carrying out a complete refurbishment of the building which has already started. Within all of this, we have a detailed focus on the hour by hour and day to day care of our residents. Whilst Rome was not built in a day, I believe that in a short period of time you will see that the majority of your concerns have been addressed.
In the meantime, please bring all and any of your concerns directly either to the manager or myself as the owner and responsible person.

It's good to see the new owners of the care home are smartening it up.
Nice new carpet in the residents' lounge.
And the rooms are being decorated and very nicely furnished.
The staff all seem to be a lot happier and pleased with the new changes.

My mother suffers from Alzheimer’s and therefore has needed constant care for a few years now, we as a family feel lucky that Northleach Court provides a high level of care for her at a location not too far from where she previously lived. She has been a resident for around 4 years now and the staff
have always been excellent with her and she always seems relaxed in her surroundings when we visit. Recently we were advised that the ownership of the home has changed and obviously we were concerned about this, in case it meant changes of staff etc. However, on our last visit earlier this week we found that some refurbishment work is taking place, with new carpets in the communal areas and bedrooms beginning to be done up, we were shown a newly refurbished room which looked fantastic. The staff were also very positive about the new owners, so it all looks good for the future and Mum can stay where she feels safe and settled.
Massive thanks to all the staff there.

Jerry James

Job Title: Registered Manager

Joined: 2023

Jerry has been a Registered Manager for more than 20 years working with Adults with Learning Disabilities, Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities, Support Living services, Commissioning Domiciliary Care services and also both residential and Nursing Older People services including Dementia. Jerry attained her RMA and Level 4 in Health and Social Care in 2003/2004 and her Level 5 in Leadership and Management in 2015. Jerry is a Dementia Lead and is very passionate about ensuring those whom we support receive the best quality of care and support.


In her spare time, Jerry likes to spend time with her family and her two German Shepherds Blue and Kulu, taking them for walks. Jerry also likes to travel to different parts of the world, and in her spare time paints with watercolours and makes and crafts jewellery.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Cassie has over 10 years of experience within the care sector.


She has worked across multiple departments in the care sector, working up from a carer to a team leader and a unit manager and now as deputy manager. Cassie has background experience supporting homes in inspections and Audits and is determined to use all these skills in her new role.


Cassie is providing proactive support to our Home manager across all aspects of home management, providing a safe, caring, stimulating and homely environment for the people we support and their families.


She is working with the manager to develop staff rotas that use resources efficiently whilst ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained to meet our resident's needs.


Cassie is putting a large level of attention to ensuring that all care staff are following a person-centred approach to their care, ensuring every resident has a personal experience with us at Northleach Court.

Jack is our administrator. He is overlooking all administrative sides of our home and works closely with families, residents, and staff.


He is here to support the Home Manager over the full range of reception, administrative, clerical, and external liaison functions. He is generally contributing to the efficient and effective running of the home and undertakes certain designed financial functions.


Jack is here to assist and support with administrative and clerical tasks to support key employees.


He is also one of our Dignity Champions, delegated to ensure the residents in our care are treated with respect and dignity in every aspect of their life at Northleach Court.

Ruben is our Head chef with many years of experience. He is very passionate about the food for our residents.


He is responsible for the highest standards for Environmental Health Food safety and hygiene standards.


Ruben is preparing 4 weekly rotating menus to provide a variety of hot and cold nourishing meals and snacks for our residents and he always ensures that all allergies are catered for and IDDSI standards are met where necessary.


He provides a variety of food and is well-balanced to meet all diets of our residents.


Angela and Narcis

Angela and Narcis

Job Title: Senior Carers

Angela and Narcis are our Senior Carers working on days. Both are highly qualified and always ensure that the care needs of our residents are met.


She and Narcis take a leading role in ensuring that the personal needs of residents are met in s way that respects their dignity and promotes independence.


Angela and Narcis actively encourage staff to provide the best possible care environment by promoting a friendly, homely atmosphere and generally helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our home.


She and Narcis maintain vigilance concerning the quality of activity in the home and assist the Home Manager to improve the service for our residents.


Angela is also one of our Dementia Champions and has had additional training in dementia, how it works and strategies for dealing with the challenges that Dementia can bring. She instils her knowledge every day, supporting the residents, and supporting staff by guiding them with best practice suggestions, and additional dementia training in the home.


Narcis is one of our infection control champions, using his advanced knowledge to ensure the home is vigilant in the reduction of cross-contamination. He supports the staff to ensure safe and best practice is being carried out across the home to ensure all the staff and residents are kept safe.

Christina and Jenny are our lovely Activities people. Christina and Jenny spend a vast amount of the day with the residents participating in activities for them and keeping them stimulated.


Christina and Jenny have got a good knowledge of their likes and dislikes therefore ensuring a good variety of activities to suit all our residents’ needs.


Christina and Jenny organise daily activities for our residents. Activities are mostly multi-sensory oriented to help residents living with dementia increase their concentration and communication.
