Richmond Villages Painswick is a luxurious boutique-style care home, situated at the heart of the Richmond Villages Painswick retirement village, with a range of facilities not normally found in a care home. The care home features a wellness spa with swimming pool, hydrotherapy plunge pool, steam room, spa treatment rooms, nail bar and hair salon, as well as a restaurant, several elegant lounges, cafe-bar, library, and activities room plus spacious grounds, landscaped gardens and panoramic views over Slad Valley and Cotswold countryside.

The 24-bed care home provides nursing and residential care in a beautifully-presented environment. All rooms are tastefully decorated by a team of specialist interior designers and feature electric profiling beds, a range of furniture, a TV, a telephone, en-suite wet room and WiFi access.

Residents at Richmond Villages Painswick are able to live a healthy and happy life in the very best environment with a dedicated and highly skilled care team onsite 24/7. The care team is supported by the hospitality team to provide delicious and nutritious meals, while the activities team provide a range of daily activities and day trips carefully designed to meet everyone's needs.

My mother went to Richmond Village Painswick DCA five years ago in her 90's. We had watched it being built and have been impressed with its individual character blending in with the Cotswold village. My mother immediately felt at home in her own flat and since then her care has increased to meet her
needs. The staff are all extremely helpful, from managers to cleaners. We are delighted she is there and can't think of anywhere else that would suit all our needs better.

Richmond Painswick is in a beautiful location. The main building feels more like a high-class hotel than a care home. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. I have always found the food to be of a very high standard although my mother sometimes complains. This may be because she does not fully
understand the menu and has difficulty making decisions. The staff always help her and make suggestions if necessary.

My uncle has been a resident of Richmond Painswick for one year following a stroke. He is 92 - but thanks in the main to excellent care, he has made a remarkably good recovery.
He is comfortable, well cared for both physically and mentally and is well supported by the staff.
We know he is in excellent
hands.

To arrive at the Richmond is like arriving at a hotel - no locked doors, always cheerful and helpful reception, staff and beautiful flowers. It is always tidy and clean, first impressions are vital when seeking a care home for a loved one. The care home continues with this theme, it is spacious with
plenty of private areas to chat, you can move around freely and residents are encouraged to do so to the best of their abilities.
There is a sense of calm, staff will smile readily and interact with compassion and often humour. It is a home where residents are looked after with kindness and made us feel as a family, safe in the knowledge that mum was safe and loved.

The post-operative care for my hip replacement was planned as per the hospital guidelines but left hospital 2 days later than planned after my surgery went wrong with post-operative complications. This meant the 2 weeks care booked at Richmond Village Painswick DCA was now out of their scheduling. 9
days later, the head of nursing care paid me a visit in hospital and agreed to my moving to Richmond Village Painswick DCA for the remaining 2nd week of my 2-week contract. My worry of how I was going to recover quickly enough to return home on my own was quickly resolved as management had agreed to my 2-week contract starting from the time of arrival, plus after discussion with family, another 2 weeks was added to my contract giving me peace of mind and excellent care and food to enable me to be strong enough again for independent living.

After the fourth operation at the hospital (throat), I needed a place to rest and recuperate. This place provided that, after four days on the care ward which was a bit noisy at night of course, I was moved to the suite which was a delightful, calm and restorative space. With a small terrace and access
via that too, it seemed extremely well designed for anyone seeking a convalescence period.
Painswick is so pretty and accessible too; so in many ways, Richmond is perfectly placed for a break of some sort. The staff, attention to detail and kindness of approach to residents were exemplary. Catering and food more excellent. Thank you for such a welcoming place.

Both my parents lived here for the last three years of their lives. I cannot fault the care and assistance they were given. In every way, they were treated with dignity, kindness and compassion. The domiciliary care team, in particular, were exceptional. In no way does it shout "care home" more like
a 4-star hotel.

July 2016 was a busy month - my father's 89th Birthday which was marked by staff and family alike - all sorts of kind gestures. Two social occasions for the village which gave great enjoyment to all involved and participating as well as to residents. The happy atmosphere which permeates Richmond Village
Painswick is derived from high-level care and compassion as well as a pro-active positive approach which enhances quality of life and promotes a supportive environment which respects the needs and wishes of individuals.

Very happy, helpful staff. I was a little disappointed they didn't pop in to check although all the bells were answered cheerfully and promptly, it was leading up to Christmas with activities going on, I was encouraged to join these, overall felt safe and well cared for.
