Beauchamp House is a Care South Country House care home. Nestled in the village of Hatch Beauchamp near Taunton, Beauchamp House provides high quality residential and nursing care.

The home has been renovated and extended to provide two new wings in keeping with the original Georgian architectural style to deliver the highest standards of care to residents.

The home has comfortable and beautifully furnished single bedrooms, all of which are en suite with a shower wet room, own telephone, television and DVD player.

It was a big step to leave my home of 56 years and my local friends and move to a care home 150 miles away, near my daughter but where I knew no one else. However, after a few weeks, I was happily settled in and after more than two years I remain sure it was the right decision for me. The staff here
are lovely, not just the carers, everyone. I have help and care in all the ways I need but they respect my wish to remain as independent as possible. The activities team go to great lengths to enable us to do anything that interests us, but you don't have to join in. For me, going into care was not the end but the beginning of a new phase of life, less active but still enjoyable and at Beauchamp House I feel I am among friends.

My experience of Beauchamp House is that they provide the most excellent care and comfortable home for their residents. Over the past year I have witnessed consistent kindness from the staff teams who have gone over and above to support my mum's challenging needs whilst respecting her wishes and preserving
her dignity. The nurses are all exceptional and are incredibly skilled at what they do and always put the needs of the resident first. I am so grateful to all the Beauchamp House staff who ensure my mum is able to maintain the best quality of life and who are so welcoming and accommodating to friends and family when they visit. Thank you Beauchamp House team - we are so grateful for all that you. do!

We chose Beauchamp Country House Care out of 13 care homes visited and assessed and we were glad we did. Our friend lived there for over 3 years and the care and kindness she received were excellent with many of the staff going above and beyond their duties, especially during the Covid period. The wonderful
care and kindness to her and us were invaluable and we cannot thank all the staff for the wonderful care they gave us through the years.

My mum needed respite care after 2 bad falls and after an initial visit to view I booked her into Beauchamp house for two weeks.
The room had its own phone, was very clean, warm and spacious and the grounds the house is set in are very attractive.
All the staff were excellent, from reception, the
care team, cleaners, laundry and kitchen.
Everyone you met was smiling and friendly and responsive to any query.
I felt reassured that they were very attentive to mum's well-being and needs and treated her with dignity and respect. Communication was excellent between all involved parties.
I would very happily recommend Beauchamp House ( especially as I have had a far less positive experience with another care home so have something to compare it with) as a safe and caring environment for a loved one.

My father needed three weeks of respite care as a transition from many weeks in hospital to coming home, and I needed the time to put the care and equipment at home in place. He was treated with respect, dignity and professionalism by all disciplines and valued the care and camaraderie he experienced
throughout his time at Beauchamp Country House Care. Management and administration were very helpful, informative, and caring in what was at times a very challenging period. The care was excellent, and the ‘icing on the cake’ was one particular carer’s insistence that no one ever goes home with any item of unwashed clothing on her watch. My wife (a theatre nurse) and I thought the standard of qualified nursing professionalism, care and rapport with my dad was outstanding. Thank you, everyone, at Beauchamp Country House Care!

The was the 13th place I viewed on behalf of my resident, and I knew immediately, it was the one she would be happy and well cared for. Nothing has happened to change my opinion. The staff are caring and have been doing a wonderful job, especially during the Covid situation. I believe my resident is
held in real affection by them. She is safe and well cared for here. There are many activities for her to take part in. The recent Jubilee party was excellent.

A very beautiful place, wonderful gardens, comfortable room and charming, kind and helpful staff. I was there for two weeks of rehab after a hip operation and would gladly recommend Beauchamp House for respite care.

Since my mother has settled into Beauchamp Country House, I have nothing but praise for the home and its dedicated staff. From the moment you walk through the door, it is warm and welcoming, feeling very much like a home from home. The staff are caring and polite, nothing is too much trouble, all questions
we may have are always answered. My mother, if she is in her room, is checked on regularly and staff are quick to respond when she needs them, this gives me and my family great peace of mind.

Wonderful support to my mother and our family from pre-admission to admission and ongoing at all times of day and night. All questions and worries dealt with calmly and professionally. Feel totally supported as a relative and my mother is being cared for very well. Very good communication from staff
to me and back again. It has been wonderful to find a home my mother feels content and safe in, that meets her needs physically and mentally and emotionally.

This has not been an easy year! Access to my mother during this period has been limited and when allowed it has not seemed logical. When meeting in fine weather we sat outside the visitor room but we were told we must meet inside. We also seem to have been through a series of managers, which means a
lack of continuity. Three different visitor rooms are a waste of money.

Throughout dad's stay he has been treated with the utmost dignity and very best care. I have been kept informed of any health concerns at all times and know he feels very safe and well cared for. All staff are extremely welcoming, cheerful and put my father's welfare as a priority, ensuring he is stimulated
and encouraged to mobilise and join in activities. Following a recent visit from a G.P, he was tremendously impressed by my fathers care and could see he was treated as if he was their own dad lovely praise, well earned.
