Glastonbury Care Home is registered for sixty-four individuals. It is organised to care for older people through personalised methods and with carers experienced in carrying out dementia care. Glastonbury Care Home is a residential nursing home but can also offer day care for the elderly.

All of the provider's homes are focused on combining care delivery with support for an independent lifestyle, at the same time as being fully resourced for many specialised needs.

After several weeks in between Yeovil and Taunton hospitals, we finally managed to secure a place at Glastonbury Care Home for my dad on 1st January. The home immediately has a warm and friendly atmosphere and that continued throughout dads stay. The managers, nurses and all the staff are helpful and
caring and particularly compassionate in my father's last days where he was treated with dignity and kindness. I only wish he could have spent more time here, but I do know that the time he did have he made the most of it and was happy and comfortable.

Edwin has been the Home Manager of Glastonbury care home since March 2021 and joined Brunelcare in 2014.


Edwin has the experience of working as a carer, then a registered nurse and deputy manager for the care home and having a humble beginning as a care worker in the care home sector. Edwin implements the best strategies at Glastonbury Care Home to continue to make it an outstanding place to live and work by focusing on well-being and delivering the best person-centred care for our residents. Edwin has also been awarded the Queen's Nurse title for the high level of commitment to patient care and nursing practice in the community.
