Hamilton Park is located in the bustling town of Taunton, close to local shops and amenities.

The home is only a mile away from motorway access and exit and a bus station is located in front of the nursing home.

Hamilton Park is a nursing home, that provides care and support for older people, aged 65 plus. The team strives to create a supportive and welcoming atmosphere, that encourages independence and overall well-being for all the residents.

Designed to meet residents’ specific needs, bedrooms are located over three floors and a choice of communal areas for relaxing or socialising. Upper floors are accessible by elevator and each room has a nurse call system in place. The residents have their own hairdressing salon to ensure are able to feel pampered on a regular basis.

Residents are supported to access community events and work closely with the Diversity Voice in Taunton and access to church services, and community engagements.

The home is currently under a development and refurbishing plan, having recently joined Kenmore Group.

Hamilton park is a registered nursing home dedicated to providing expert care for individuals with physical disabilities , general nursing care and memory challenges such as dementia.

The compassionate and highly trained team is always available to offer support, ensuring that every resident feels safe, respected, and well cared for. This is part of the home's and team's commitment to achieving the team's mission: “A home from home approach”.

My brother was only a resident from August 2022 until he passed away on April 29th 2023. During his time at Hamilton Park Nursing Home, his well-being improved noticeably compared with the decline in general condition that occurred when he was largely forgotten about in his own home during lockdown.
He owned his house and was very reluctant to move into care but in his last few months at Hamilton Park, he became 'active' again leaving the depression that settled upon him.

My mum was admitted to the home from hospital for end of life care covered by the NHS. Mum was only there a few days before she passed away so can only comment from brief experience but will say we couldn't have placed Mum in a better care home if we had tried! On Mum's last day, she went downhill fast
and no family could be at her bedside in time to be with her, but the home staff were and they did not leave her to pass alone. Family members were able to be with Mum later that day, they were looked after so well by the staff who provided food, drink, care and comfort to them at a difficult time. I visited the home 5/6 days later to help collect Mum's personal effects and to thank the staff. I found that same concern, care and comfort from them. The home was clean, yes, the decor was a bit tired but in life the service you get depends on the people who provide it, the home staff are diamonds! From experience, I would recommend the home and its staff!

May not be "The Ritz" but most certainly makes up for this in all the important ways. Excellent food etc. but above all, professional and caring staff who actually seem to enjoy their work! Such a relief to have the confidence to know Mother is happy, settled and well looked after by these unsung angels.

The resident that was in the nursing home wasn't in there for long as she was at end of life. The care she received was excellent and dignified. She was kept clean and comfortable, and we were able to bring in photos flowers and CDs of her favourite music to make her room more familiar and homely. Nothing
was too much trouble for the staff that took care of her. A television was provided which made her very happy as she loved watching it.

I am more than pleased with the care and attention given to my husband. Nothing seems too much trouble for any of the staff. I know he can be difficult, which makes life difficult for the carers, and I know he wants to be at home. Sadly he cannot accept that he can no longer walk, so for my peace of
mind, I could not wish for him to be in a more caring and loving environment than Hamilton Park. I truly appreciate all the care and attention that is given to him.

Mum only moved here four weeks ago but was made welcome straight away. Staff are keen to learn about her likes, dislikes and past life so that they can cater and find activities for her to do.
We have found it easy to talk with staff and they are always cheerful and welcoming.
Mum's room is not
large but it has been freshly decorated with new furniture and flooring.

Mum has been a resident at Hamilton Park Nursing Home for 10 months. Since day 1 her care has been excellent. The staff have taken the time to get to know her and her needs/requirements both physically and mentally. The staff always show care and compassion and treat mum with the utmost respect. If
the care home has any queries or problems a member of staff is always very quick to advise me. I am completely happy with the care mum is receiving at Hamilton Park Nursing Home.

My dad has been a resident at Hamilton Park Nursing Home for many years, there has been many changes over the years, the biggest changes can be seen this year under the new manager who with the support of the staff is working hard to improve the quality of the care all the residents receive, along with
making changes to the environment which were very old and dated before. Sadly, this year i;ve lost my mum. Staff have shown my dad so much kindness and support during this time. Staff are so kind and caring.

My 95-year-old mother has been a resident at Hamilton Park for nearly 2 years. In the majority of that time, there has not been a manager. Even so, the staff have been excellent and my mother, suffering from senile dementia, has been very happy there. There have been a lot of changes recently with
the new manager and it seems a much better organised establishment. Some new staff have joined as well and the care my mother gets is superb. The staff have been very patient with her.
My mother's room, although a bit small is well equipped with: washbasin, wardrobe, bedside drawers, her own comfy chair, her own TV, over bed table and commode. It is well lit and has a large window, with views onto Hamilton Park itself. It is well heated and kept clean and tidy. My mother is well fed, with a choice of menu and in the day-room, she has an allocated chair and can join in with the activities if she wants, which is not very often! There is always a good atmosphere when you go in to visit.

I joined Hamilton park nursing home in early 2023. I bring with me over 13 years of experience in nursing, dementia care, end-of-life care, and various levels of management.


As a passionate manager, I am committed to delivering person-centered care, that is tailored to the individual needs of our residents, delivering a home-from-home approach.


As a leader, I strongly believe that good communication, ongoing professional development and teamwork, are essential for our staff to provide outstanding care. I am dedicated to fostering a positive and supportive work environment, that allows our team to thrive and deliver the highest quality care possible.

My name is Jacquie Kelly, I am a registered nurse and I have been working at Hamilton Park Nursing Home since early 2022.
My present role is clinical lead within the home.
I have been a registered nurse since the age of 18, which is quite a few years to remember.


I am passionate about different departments of care and I have worked in different management and nursing roles.


My long service in the care sector reflects my passion for the residents I love to look after and achieve a positive outcome, one step at a time.
