As the Registered Manager, Jo is responsible for the day-to-day running of The Knoll Nursing Home and has overall responsibility for the social and health needs of the residents. She is also the ‘face’ of the home to health and social care professionals.
Jo’s responsibilities include maintaining the quality standards at the home, safeguarding controls, and health and safety, as well as overseeing the care provided by the staff team. She is also responsible for staffing matters, the maintenance of the home, and its finances.
Jo has extensive experience in the care sector, having worked in it since 1990, and holds the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care.
Job Title: Clinical Lead

Caroline joined us as the Clinical Lead in September 2019.
As a Registered Nurse, she has 30 years experience within the care home sector working as a nurse and a home manager.
Caroline oversees a small team of registered nurses and care practitioners ensuring high standards of care and working with a person-centred care approach.
She assists the manager on a day to day basis and is always happy to answer any questions
Her biggest achievement is winning Manager of the year (Somerset Care Awards) and being selected in the top five of the National care awards for the Dementia Manager of the year.

Bindu assesses, plans, and evaluates the individualised care of our residents, and also provides direct care to them. She supervises care staff and acts as a shift leader.
Bindu is a Registered General Nurse, and before working at The Knoll Nursing Home she worked at a local care home.
Job Title: Head of Care and Housekeeping

As the Head of Care and Housekeeping, Dana supports the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of The Knoll Nursing Home. Dana is responsible for the recruitment of new staff, and she also provides their training. Dana mentors those staff who choose to study for Diplomas in Health and Social Care, offering advice and guidance on this and any other aspect of care work.
As Head of Housekeeping Dana is also responsible for the domestic staff team, ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are upheld at all times and managing the home’s housekeeping budget.
Dana holds the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care and has worked in care for the past 15 years.
Job Title: Chef
Joined: 2019
As the Chef, Weiji plans and provides nutritious meals for our residents. He writes our 4-week menu plans, using fresh and seasonal ingredients to ensure that the residents have a varied diet and that the food meets their preferences and requirements. He also manages all the kitchen staff and is responsible for the home’s food budget. Weiji also ensures that all health and safety and environmental health standards are achieved and maintained.
Job Title: Care Practitioner
Joined: 2015
As a Care Practitioner, Sharon supports the nurses in tasks such as clinical observations of the residents, medication rounds, and care plans; and she also supports the Registered Manager with staff appraisals and bringing new initiatives to the home.
Sharon has extensive experience and holds the Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. She is currently working towards her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care.
Before working at The Knoll Nursing Home she worked as an activities co-ordinator at a local care home, and she uses this experience to create new ideas and experiences for the residents.
