Residents love to see family members and friends. Visiting hours are not restricted.

I have worked at the Manor for over seven years. I started working in the kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant. As a kitchen assistant, I had the opportunity to replenish drinks and snacks and assist in serving meals in communal areas. During this time outside of the kitchen, I enjoyed meeting residents and took pleasure in seeing residents' engagement during activities.
My interest in resident activities was evident and I was given the opportunity to transfer to the Activities team. I love to spend time with the residents. I enjoy hearing their stories and finding out what activities interest them. I aim to keep them as active as possible however my top priority is to instil fun and laughter at the Manor.

I have just celebrated my 10th year with Barchester Healthcare and I love my job. It’s not just about the teaching but the learning that takes place. All our learners on their first day are taught to identify our Barchester values so that they can incorporate them into everything they do.As a trainer I strive to meet the needs abilities and aspirations of my learners. I believe it’s about inspiring learners to help them change and develop their personal, social and professional skills to the best of their ability and take responsibility for their own development.
