I was a resident at Oaktree Court from the 3rd December to 13th 2019 on respite after a difficult hip operation. My room was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated the view from the window was stunning.
The staff were excellent, professional yet warm, friendly and caring. Safety was paramount and
I received plenty of help in negotiating stairs, lifts and corridors. Entertainment and activities were fun, interesting and enjoyable. The meals were well balanced and delicious. I had a lovely time and will most definitely return to visit the many friends I made. Thank you all at Oaktree Court.

It was very comfortable. The staff were caring, attentive and polite. Pleasant setting and outlook. Had some concern about external door security but this was resolved. My main feedback is the standard of the food. I expected a much better and consistent quality for the fees. I did enjoy the breakfasts.

Staff are always polite and helpful. When visiting resident she seems very happy and satisfied with the facilities and activities organised. The home is clean and smells fresh. When we have requested to see the management this has always been fulfilled and satisfactory results.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my week of care here, finding the staff adequate for my needs; very helpful, cheerful and cooperative. The food is well cooked, well served and hot (when necessary)! As there is little entertainment, it can sometimes be a little boring, unless one has one's own facilities -
book, puzzle book etc. The TV is little use for me, with my hearing disability (I cannot grumble at that - not being a fan of TV)! I shall look forward to a return visit in the future!

Since moving mum to Oaktree I have been delighted with her care. The staff are always friendly and pay attention to Mum's individual needs and adapt policies to make her quality of life as positive as possible. She enjoys the daily activities and outings to a varied amount of places of interest. Interaction
with the local community is brilliant and much enjoyed by Mum.

I am writing to say thank you to all the team for the wonderful care you are offering my Dad. We have been really impressed by the level of care and quality of the environment you have created. It really does feel like home now and it is such a blessing to have such a great team supporting Dad. He is
being treated with great dignity and respect whatever his mood. We are impressed by the attitudes of all the staff and the friendly atmosphere they create. The resident's wellbeing is at the heart of everything people are trying to achieve and the staff team work together to make every day special. The activities team have put on an extremely impressive programme that has helped him in body, mind and spirit. It is creative, responsive to the interests of the residents and the activities team have gone out of their way to help Dad to access the activities and trips and valued his interests and experiences.

Having experienced a wide range of residential and nursing homes in my working life Oaktree comes high in the Premier division. Not the easiest resident, my father lived here for a year enjoying professional, highly skilled, respectful and committed care from all the staff. The flexibility to move between
residential and nursing care meant his terminal illness was managed without moving by expert highly attentive nurses and carers
Oaktree is spotlessly clean, rooms and lounges are bright and well furnished and provide a calm homely environment.
The gardens are extensive and well cared for and the enthusiastic activities team never stop trying to get residents involved in the ever-changing weekly program of events
The icing on the Oaktree cake is the entire staff, all knowing the residents' names, addressing them accordingly and always treating them with the utmost dignity. They work well as a team and are readily accessible to concerned relatives, however trivial the issue may be.

Found Oaktree to be open, warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for any member of the team, be they nursing or maintenance. Every member of the team who we came in contact with always was up to date with our friend's condition and situation, demonstrating good communication throughout. Would

The end of life care provided for the last few weeks for my Dad was excellent. Everyone was so helpful and caring and as he was only there a short time they made it feel like he had bee with them for ages, and he felt at home and relaxed in those last few weeks. My Mum is currently at Oaktree and she
looks so well and settled. The activities and trips they take residents on have made Mum feel like she has got some independence back, even though her mobility is very limited.

The home was very happy to accommodate our needs at short notice. They were extremely helpful in assisting us to sort out funding. Relatives were made to feel very welcome at all times and often asked if there was anything else they could assist us with. We were given plenty of privacy and allowed to
treat the room as our home. Mum received very good nursing for her numerous and specific care needs.

The home is clean, well staffed and is more like a hotel than a care home.
The food is delicious and beautifully presented.
The staff are very kind and caring and totally respectful to the residents and visitors alike.
The home is extremely clean and the furnishings are kept clean and new looking.
The
residents are stimulated with many activities and outings to interesting and fun places/experiences.
My aunt has been here since January and really loves it there.

Oaktree Court is in a lovely setting and has a really nice feel to it when you walk through the door, however, you can have the nicest looking care home and surroundings but what really counts are the staff. At Oaktree you get friendly faces no matter who it is and the staff are brilliant, they try
to do their best for the resident and persevere to help them. My Mum (98) has, understandably, taken a while to settle in, having lost her independence but thanks to the dedication of the staff she is now much more settled, thank you every one. I would absolutely recommend this care home.

"THEY ARE ALL VERY KIND" were some of the final words our mum uttered the afternoon prior to her passing, and I would support this view. Our Mum was only at Oaktree for just over three months, my brother and my decision to place her here was based on the exceptional care the home had shown to our father
during 2016/2017.
Mum arrived at Oaktree with a very restrictive diet and whilst it took a few weeks to get into her rhythm the chefs used to meet with her daily to try to find dishes that would tempt her and were bespoke to her individual needs. Mum enjoyed the fact that staff took the time to get to know her as well as enjoying attending, when she felt up to it, the extensive activities put on by the very enthusiastic entertainments team.
The home offers a relaxed environment in lovely surroundings with staff who are chosen for their compassion. All staff at all levels are very approachable.

We chose Oak Tree Court for my mother in 2011 where she lived till her recent passing on 7th Feb 2018. My mother was always happy at Oaktree Court and often praised the care of the staff and she had many friends there. On the last week of my mother's life, I stayed every night at the home along with
my brother as we felt we couldn't leave my mother's side. All the staff were very professional and caring and really couldn't have done more for us. They provided camp beds for us so we could stay with my mother and were professional, kind, caring and went beyond what was expected of them. Thank you all at Oaktree Court.

Oaktree Court has the "right feeling" when walking through the front door.
All the staff are friendly and want to help. The two weeks I have spent here have been enjoyable.
Iw ould like to come more often but unfortunately, I have to fund myself so I have to be careful but will certainly not be looking
anywhere else.

Hi, I'm Marie, Home Manager at Oaktree Court!


I am absolutely delighted to be back at Oaktree Court as Home Manager! Having previously held this role from January 2019 to October 2021, it feels wonderful to return to such a warm and welcoming community. After moving to Shropshire for a time, I’m now back in Somerset and couldn’t be happier to have rejoined the team.


As a Registered Nurse, my background spans a variety of areas, including Paediatrics, Accident & Emergency, Police Forensic Nursing, Substance Misuse, Rapid Response, Acute Medical Wards, and Out-of-Hours GP Specialist Nursing. I’ve also managed nursing agencies and care homes, as well as held regional and compliance roles.


Providing exceptional care, upholding high standards, and advocating for residents has always been at the heart of my work. I love getting to know our residents and their families, and I’m always happy to have an informal chat about life at Oaktree Court. If you’d like to know more, please do get in touch!

I am responsible for running the catering services at Oaktree Court, ensuring residents receive meals they enjoy. I use the best locally sourced ingredients to create incredible dining experiences.


As part of my role, as Head Chef, I make sure there is ample choice available for everyone, you will often see me around the home chatting to residents, finding out what they like best and ensuring everyone is happy with the food being served.
