We were disappointed to read your review of Ashley Grange, we take all feedback very seriously. Since the CQC inspection, we have been working hard with them and our stakeholders to deliver a quality improvement plan. Over the past six months, since your mother left our home, we have a new management team in place, who have made significant progress in implementing the necessary changes. A rigorous recruitment drive has been delivered, including the appointment of a senior nurse to bolster the team and enhance residents' well-being. A state-of-the-art nurse call system has been installed to improve the safety of our residents. In addition, Ashley Grange has been undergoing extensive renovations, with a significant investment of approx. £750k to improve the facilities and decor throughout the property. Following a recent relative, staff, and resident survey, we have been pleased with the positive response and acknowledgement of the improvements seen throughout the home.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review about Ashley Grange. As we understand it, you have spoken with the operations director and she was able to discuss with you some of your concerns. We acknowledge that the home is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment and as such, the hand wash basin is no longer in use in reception. However, adequate facilities are offered including hand sanitiser, prior to putting on full PPE for visits.
We are sorry you felt the team were anything other than professional and that the phones were not answered in a timely manner. All our team are working exceptionally long hours to support the increased pressures in the care sector due to the pandemic and we are aware there is always frustration when staff are unable to share confidential information over the phone. We always look to learn and develop our service through feedback so we thank you for allowing us to have responded prior to your review.

A lifelong desire to support others has been my driving force. I have successfully channelled this passion and my desire to create a positive influence as a registered nurse. I find great joy in building connections with my residents and being a part of their development and well-being. Since my graduation, I have committed myself to the development and improvement of healthcare systems, processes, and policies, consistently aiming to deliver the highest quality of care to my residents.
