Braemar Lodge is a purpose-built home located in the city of Salisbury. As well as providing five-star luxury accommodation, the home is conveniently situated just a short distance from the local shops and doctors surgeries.

Residents enjoy companionship and can join in with singing, music, exercise and arts and crafts sessions. There is the opportunity for gentle gardening activities in the summer sunshine, and there is a busy pen pal scheme.
The home is registered for nursing care and staffed by dedicated nurses and health care professionals with extensive experience in caring for age-related conditions and fully trained in infection control.

Braemar Lodge offers beautifully appointed bedrooms, featuring flat-screen televisions with Freeview and en-suite facilities. A few steps from the reception area is a well-appointed dining room and both ground and garden floors have large lounges with comfortable armchairs and sofas.

The garden lounge has access to a well-stocked garden where a relaxing walk can be enjoyed. On the first floor, there is also a small quiet lounge and an activities room with computers for use of Skype.

Residents are encouraged to participate in daily activities and can enjoy trips and outings organised by the activity co-ordinators.

Staff were professional, clear, friendly and sensitive during the assessment period and throughout. The staff were attentive, kind and caring. The nurses were very clear and informative. Staff on client interact were knowledgeable and understanding. The quality of care is excellent. The atmosphere friendly,m
calm and jolly as well as welcoming. The home cleanliness is of a very high standard and the meals exceptional. I cannot praise the staff team enough. Thank you.

I have been a resident of Braemar Lodge for the past year. All the staff here seem totally committed and happy in their work. I have had no previous connections with care homes but feel very comfortable here I would have no hesitation in suggesting it to friends. My two sons one a surgeon in Australia
and the who has dealings with care homes are very happy for me to be here.

I visit a severely disabled friend at Braemar Lodge every 3-4 weeks - but have had no experience of the food etc, nor value for money. The place always appears to be well kept and the staff are always busy and friendly to visitors and residents alike. My friend is unable to stand or do anything for
herself, and so frequently needs attention which, as far as I know, she always gets.

From the moment I entered Braemar Lodge I have experienced the fulfilment of the management promise to 'Cherish You'. My friends say that this is the best care home in Salisbury, and they are glad that I have been enabled to come and live here.


"Friendly, kind, individual, reassuring and honest".

I am happy to endorse this, and also give thanks for the surroundings - a quiet interesting garden with plenty of seats, and an optional programme of activities in which one may join. The home is in a residential area, and there is reasonable public transport for both residents and visitors. There is qualified nursing care when needed.

My mother, who has early dementia is not always easy to care for or please! She is treated with patience and thoughtfulness and is full of praise for her carers. The staff are kind and caring. The home is excellently run and provides excellent services.

This is my first experience of a care home either as a visitor or resident. Up to six months ago I was able to look after myself in my own home. However, owing to a deterioration in health and aged 92 years I found it impossible to carry on alone and I was lucky to get accepted firstly on respite care
and now as a permanent resident at Braemar Lodge. To date, I have found this home very good, management and staff outstanding, I feel that this is truly a home and not an institution.

I have been taking weekly Holy Communion and Morning Prayer services with another Lay Pastoral assistant for about ten years. The staff are always friendly and helpful, its a pleasure to be of service to the residents. I have also visited private rooms to give Holy Communion when requested and have
prayed with sick and dying residents. I have a good relationship with managers if anything arises, from talking to residents, that they need to know about.

My mother lives in Dover, but while visiting us for Xmas 2016 she fell and broke her femur, then had a stroke. We chose Braemar Lodge as she needed a nursing home having reviewed over 20 others near Salisbury and in Kent. This could not have been a better decision. Not only did the Manager and Clinical
Lead help me through the last 8 months, with advice, empathy and through experience, all staff have been outstanding. I see my mother every couple of days. All staff are happy, caring, attentive, willing, smart and cheerful. The home is immaculate, the food is excellent and I cannot recommend Braemar Lodge any higher.

It is always a difficult decision to decide that a relative needs care home support but us as a family was so completely right. My mother was cared for with love and dignity from all members of staff. We were always welcomed into the home as a family life. We felt a real closeness and bond with all
those who were there and regarded many of the staff to be friends. We enjoyed lots of really happy times together including several Christmas celebrations. We are very thankful for the wonderful memories that will remain with us always.

My mother has been a resident for almost 2 years. She is very happy, safe and content. She thinks she is living in a 5-star hotel, in her words "I have and get everything I need". If I have any questions, there is always someone to answer them, whether it's regarding care, food or laundry. The activities,
outings and garden parties are superb and there is always something for the residents to take part in if they so wish.
I have got to know many of the carers who are kind, considerate and treat their residents with great dignity and loving care. It is truly home from home. The atmosphere, as soon as you walk in, is one of love and happiness. I would book my room there with no hesitation if the need ever arose.

Management and staff are extremely approachable and friendly inspiring confidence that matters of concern will be followed up.
