Cedars provides high quality 24-hour residential and nursing care, including expert care for people living with dementia.

I have visited The Cedars quite a few times and cannot find any fault with the nursing home and staff.

The first thing to say is that the staff are amazing and giving it 110%. However, I do feel that since my mother became resident in February this year the care home has been grappling with severe staff shortages, now exacerbated by the Covid-19 Pandemic. The only thing I can say is that the staff are
doing an amazing job in very difficult circumstances but hopefully once better times arrive, they will be able to achieve the staffing levels they need.
However, I am increasingly alarmed at there being no long term strategy that I am aware of to reinstate family visits safely and get the residents out of their rooms, even in small groups, to speak to other residents. Mum's mental health is being badly affected by her isolation.

The staff and general atmosphere within the home are warm and welcoming. There has been more evidence of room cleaning this year and the domestic help appears to have increased. Unfortunately, there still appears to be issues regarding washing and tumble drying clothes that appear to sometimes shrink
or contain a residue? due to washing powder. The food is sadly often cold and lacks seasoning although the difficulty of meeting the needs of everyone is acknowledged. The activities arranged for residents are stimulating and provide a friendly and interesting environment. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, this was ended but the staff has made every effort to maintain health, safety, and wellbeing. Thank you.

My parent has been a home resident for 18 months. They have been treated with the utmost care, dignity, and support. The staff offer exemplary personalised care and show such thoughtful kindness at every step. My parent is happy, settled, and feels at home. We could not ask for more and have no concerns
for their happiness and wellbeing. We unreservedly recommend the home to anyone needing or considering care.

My mother stayed at The Cedars twice on respite and is now a resident, that says it all! The surroundings are fabulous. It's like one big family. Even me, as a visitor, feels part of it. As a son, I want the best I can get for my mum and I don't think I could find anywhere better. I have marked everything

It is not the fabric of a care home that makes it a good placement for a loved one, it is the engagement with dedicated staff who are always welcoming and so kind. The Cedars Nursing Home has cared both for my late father and my mother who died this week with dignity and respect. I cannot speak highly
enough of the dedication the staff show towards residents and visiting family and friends. Their approach is always sincere and nothing was too much trouble for them despite how busy they always are. I visited nearly every other day and at different times so I gained a real feeling about the care given. The manager has always been more than accommodating and at all times, so approachable. A real asset to the home, well done to all.

My first impression of The Cedars was excellent and a pleasant relief because of bad press. We had looked online for care homes and were worried. We viewed another care home because it is local to us. We were nowhere near impressed as The Cedars. The care and attention to Mum was excellent, we couldn't

Mum settled in very quickly on her first day at The Cedars. The staff were brilliant and really made her feel at home. The signing in process was very simple and painless. Loved the clothes making service. Mum's room was freshly decorated and spotlessly clean. I'm confident mum will be happy here. The
activities lady has been fantastic and gets mum dancing and singing.

My overall view of The Cedars is good. The staff are excellent, competent, caring and friendly. They treat the residents with care and dignity. They are also open and friendly to relatives and willing to take the time to chat and answer any queries or concerns. The activities are varied and interesting
and care is taken to encourage residents and family alike to take part. The Cedars is definitely one of the better homes and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

The care provided to my mother during her stay at The Cedars was second to none. The dedication, love and affection shown towards her by all the staff was amazing and ensured her comfort and safety throughout her stay. The food has a good variety.
He is only here for respite.

I am very happy with the support my Mum has received since moving in. The staff are very helpful. The only comment is Mum arrived with her wheelchair which has now gone missing since the decorations. If it could be found that would be nice.

I qualified as a nurse in 2009. I started my career back home in India for a few years before coming to the UK in 2013. I quickly found my passion for elderly care and felt a great sense of achievement when helping others live to their best potential. When the residents smile and see them happy, I know the team has done a fantastic job in enriching their lives.


I have worked as Head of Care and Deputy Manager for a few homes around London and in Hampshire. I believe I can keep up my good work to keep my residents and their loved ones happy & comfortable. I have always made a good relationship with all the multi-healthcare professionals for the well-being of my residents.


I love being out in nature and driving around in my spare time. My little one keeps me busy, the rest of the time.

I joined Cedars as an Administration Assistant in February 2022 and progressed to Administrator in July 2022, where I now lead a team of 3 lovely ladies. I am thoroughly enjoying leading such a strong team. Tasks related to administration are often important to keeping a business running efficiently. So, having the responsibility to complete tasks on time and in a quality manner without much oversight is crucial and really rewarding for me personally. Being in administration has many other benefits - I interact on a daily basis with residents, families, staff and the local community which can be really fun.


In my spare time, I love looking after my menagerie of animals, horse riding, and mostly just being outdoors! I also love spending quality time with my two children, who like to keep me on my toes!

Hello,


I started working for Cedars at the beginning of 2019. I have been caring for the elderly community since I was 16 years old and decided to pursue a career in Cedars where I became a Senior Care Assistant. I am also part of the Activities team. I love learning about dementia and how I can benefit those diagnosed and this led to me being a trained Dementia champion for the home.


I implement many different ideas, improving the quality of care for our residents. My focus is inclusion and making sure all residents are included in everything, not only to enable them to feel independent and purposeful but also so that they are not inadvertently excluded by others.

Hello. I have been working at the Cedars for two years as a Senior Carer. I really love the happy atmosphere and team work. I regularly bring my Bengal cat, Sausage dog and two Labradors in for the residents to enjoy.


In my spare time I enjoy horse riding in the beautiful local countryside. I am also a committee member on the local parish council.
