My mother 1st stayed at Cedars for respite in December 2018. At the end of this, it was decided that she really needed 24-hour care. We are so grateful that she is in such a lovely place, we know she is totally safe and well looked after by the dedicated team.
Nothing is too much trouble. The way the
team speak to and look after mum is exemplary. She has a lovely, airy room and the new décor throughout Cedars is beautiful. A huge thank you to all the team, for caring for my beautiful mum.

My sister has been a resident since December 2018. The care she has received has been fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
When I visit my sister and meet a member of staff, there is always a bright and sunny greeting.
The facilities are so homely and comfortable and the food smells
delicious and displayed on the plate with care. I could not wish for more for my sister.

I visited my stepmother after her move from a previous home. She was so much happier! Her room was clean and both her and the room were obviously well cared for a huge improvement over the previous home. The staff obviously went the extra mile for the residents and my mum was getting real care. She
was healthier and happier than she has been for a long time.

I visited today. My step mum has been at The Cedars for a few weeks. She is so much happier than before. The staff are kind and want to care for her. It seems to be a friendly place, where residents needs are well met. My step mum feels she has 'come home'.

Choosing a home for my mother was very difficult; after looking at other homes we immediately felt on visiting a warmth in the staff who went out of the way to explain everything at this difficult time. My family and I found Cedars Nursing Home exemplary in the caring way they looked after my mother
in the last few months of her life. We visited the home and all times of day, not once doubted the professionalism and care. We cannot thank them all enough.

When I visit, the staff are always welcoming.
Each resident is treated as an individual and there is a strong sense of community. There is a good variety of activities and always a happy atmosphere. In the recent hot weather, good use has been made of the well-kept gardens. It is friendly, relaxed
and well organised and I enjoy spending time there with my friend and seeing her valued and well cared for.

The Cedars Nursing Home has improved tremendously since my Mum has been a resident. The staff are like one happy family, put themselves out even with activities making sure everyone is ok. Management staff very approachable and friendly, they told me the door is always open. Nursing staff great too
any concerns they contact the doctor also inform me. Mum's room is charming kept clean and tidy with a lovely view. I have asked my mum if she’s happy there on many occasions with a reply “Yes”. Thank you all at the Cedars.

Our decision to place my wife into The Cedars was the best one we've made. The entire experience for her and family members was amazing. All the staff went the extra mile in their care duties. They could change their role from nurse/carer etc straight into a mothering figure when it was needed. They
all worked as a 'well-oiled machine' and treated my wife with dignity and respect and we became friends. It was a delight to come to visit The Cedars. The decor was so relaxing to everyone. It was comparable to a high-class hotel.

Overall this is a very good care home. A few things need to be attended to, to make it excellent. The new manager seems to be aware of all the points discussed at the meeting today and things are in place already to address these issues.

I have only visited the home three times, the last being yesterday on the occasion of my friend's 96th birthday. I found her looking very smart and well cared for and the staff had set aside a beautiful sitting room to accommodate the 18 visitors she had. They provided a lovely afternoon tea complete
with birthday cake, and we had a very pleasant afternoon. I have always found the staff welcoming and caring and so far have been very impressed with The Cedars.

Although I have marked most of the categories good, I believe them to be very good.
My mother has only been in the care home for a month but here there has been a marked improvement in her general condition.
The staff have been friendly and cooperative and professional and made what was a difficult
time for my mother (and her family) a less stressful process.
I would not hesitate to recommend this care provider.

When the residents smile and see them happy, I know the team has done a fantastic job in enriching their lives.


I have worked as Head of Care and Deputy Manager for a few homes around London and in Hampshire. I believe I can keep up my good work to keep my residents and their loved ones happy & comfortable. I have always made a good relationship with all the multi-healthcare professionals for the well-being of my residents.


I love being out in nature and driving around in my spare time. My little one keeps me busy, the rest of the time.

My name is Michelle. I started my nursing career slightly later in life. I studied at Bournemouth University and after qualifying went to work in Bournemouth Hospital on the stroke unit. I am thoroughly enjoying leading such a strong team. Tasks related to administration are often important to keeping a business running efficiently. So, having the responsibility to complete tasks on time and in a quality manner without much oversight is crucial and really rewarding for me personally. Being in administration has many other benefits - I interact on a daily basis with residents, families, staff and the local community which can be really fun.


In my spare time, I love looking after my menagerie of animals, horse riding, and mostly just being outdoors! I also love spending quality time with my two children, who like to keep me on my toes!

I have been caring for the elderly community since I was 16 years old and decided to pursue a career in Cedars where I became a Senior Care Assistant. I am also part of the Activities team. I love learning about dementia and how I can benefit those diagnosed and this led to me being a trained Dementia champion for the home.


I implement many different ideas, improving the quality of care for our residents. My focus is inclusion and making sure all residents are included in everything, not only to enable them to feel independent and purposeful but also so that they are not inadvertently excluded by others.


When I am not at work I enjoy Arts and Crafts, Vintage/Antique Fairs, Indian head massage and Reiki.

Hello. I have been working at the Cedars for two years as a Senior Carer. I really love the happy atmosphere and team work. I regularly bring my Bengal cat, Sausage dog and two Labradors in for the residents to enjoy.


In my spare time I enjoy horse riding in the beautiful local countryside. I am also a committee member on the local parish council.
