Brendoncare Froxfield nestles in beautiful, open countryside between Hungerford and Marlborough. Its location and attractive gardens makes it a peaceful place, surrounded by nature, where nursing and award-winning dementia care support residents to live contented lives, either on a permanent or short-term basis.

This specially designed, light and airy care home caters for 44 residents and includes a dedicated 16 bedroom dementia care household. The team takes great pride in providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere, giving a real family feel to the home.

The kitchen staff consult with residents regularly to ensure they accommodate any dietary restrictions, religious requirements or personal preferences in the menus.

Healthy, nutritious and delicious food is provided daily, while snacks and drinks are always available.

A comprehensive wellbeing programme is provided, including music and movement, seated exercises, painting and gardening. Rolo the rabbit also hops in and out to keep everyone entertained!

Brendoncare's Care for Life ensures that once welcomed into the care home, a permanent resident will not be asked to leave other than in exceptional circumstances.

Grandma seems very settled and happy. The carers are always so lovely and helpful. I always hear about what fantastic activities and trips she has been on.

Respite care postoperatively for my mother was excellent. Most attentive staff. Believe staffing levels very tight considering the cost of care seems odd, they struggle to retain staff. Continuity of care and the faces of those members of staff is vital. Too many changes. Cleanliness of room good, meals
especially tea time very basic. Nutrition - fresh fruit and vegetables needed more.

My mother is living at Brendoncare Froxfield and has been for six years. She has advanced dementia and is happy and relaxed every time I visit.
I have come at different times of day and there are always flowers on the tables and a quiet relaxed atmosphere.
There are always carers talking to the residents
and treating them with respect.

Brendoncare is a very caring and dedicated care home. The residents are treated as individuals with their own special needs and requirements.
If I occasionally have a problem it is dealt with efficiently asap, by whoever is responsible.
One gets a sense of fun and laughter as you visit.

My sister has been in care since October 2012 in the dementia unit. The family are totally satisfied with the care received. We are informed immediately of any emergency. I am able to visit, living locally, at any time of day. Subsequently, at no time have I found my sister wanting for anything. Her
room is always tidy and clean, laundry is done on a regular basis.
Staff are friendly, cheerful and patient.
A cup of tea is always available.

I always find staff happy to help my husband and me. The home has a happy atmosphere and there is always a welcome at reception when I arrive. I can always access my husband's daily records which I find to be of interest and importance and, if I need any clarification, there is always someone who will
explain points to me. Unfortunately, my husband is unable to join in with most activities.

My wife and I were very impressed when we visited last week. We had visited once before and were impressed then. The atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly and the home had a clean and bright aura. The decor was bright, homely and comfortable too. The staff were very helpful and caring.
Lunch
had been booked for us by a relative and this was very good in every respect. A visitor was playing the piano in the room adjacent to the dining room and the other residents were being treated to a splendid recital. Brilliant!

When we first visited Brendoncare Froxfield we were struck by the love and personal care being given to each of the residents. It was not the cheapest residential care home that we visited nor the most luxurious. However, it was the one that we felt would care best for my mother's future care needs
as she suffers from vascular dementia. Some day in the future my mother may require more specialist support and Brendoncare Froxfield has a wing for this purpose. Meanwhile, my mother has her own private bedroom and bathroom and is able to enjoy walking around the beautiful central garden, as well as reading in the comfortable lounge. Recently, she suffered a mild stroke and the personal care and attention was second to none. We cannot recommend Brendoncare Froxfield more highly.

My mother spent the last three months of her life in the Brendoncare Froxfield home. I simply cannot fault the care and attention she was given during this time. Without exception, every member of staff seemed to have only the best interests at heart the whole time. They were also extremely warm and
friendly towards my mother and myself (and I was a visitor most days). I am so grateful she spent the last few days of her life in their superb care and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home.

Maria

Maria Wegner

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2012

I am a registered nurse who trained at the medical academy in Bydgoszcz in Poland. Upon completion of my training, I worked in a hospital ward and then in a doctor’s surgery before returning to the hospital to work in the neurological ward. I moved to the UK in 2007 and joined the care team at a nursing home then worked as a support worker for people with learning disabilities. I started working as a nurse in a nursing home in 2010. In 2012, I joined Brendoncare Froxfield as a registered nurse, later becoming its Deputy Manager and then its Registered Manager in 2019.

Lesley Marshall

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Lesley loves making sure the care our residents receive is of the highest standards. Lesley loves Brendoncare Froxfield, and spends so much time here that her husband became our part-time gardener so he gets to see her!

Laura has spent her whole career dedicated to supporting people with major decisions and is passionate about excellent customer service.
