My mum has been a resident at Henford House since December 2021. She is very happy there. I see her twice a week, and she regularly tells me how lovely the staff are and says that living there is like being part of a big family. This is despite the fact that she stays in her room all the time (her choice).
I
find the staff very friendly and approachable. I am always made to feel very welcome when I visit.
When there have been any issues regarding Mum's care or health, it has been easy to sort things out.

All the staff are lovely and many have worked at Barchester Henford for many years!
Mum is very happy here and enjoys the social side of things. Always laughing and smiling.
It's great we can bring the dogs in to visit.

Advision process made easy in what were difficult circumstances. Dad has settled in quite quickly. Staff encouraging him to be active. They get him up and dressed most days.

As an old friend and LPA for a resident who lived at Henford House for two years I have full admiration for the care and kindness given to him by the home. All the staff were friendly, caring, kind, helpful and when suitable, fun. They were always quick to respond to any incident and the nursing staff
gave me complete confidence. There was always a welcome when I visited as well as tea, coffee and cakes. All in all a very run home which I would recommend

My sister had tried three previous care homes but refused to stay, now at Henford care home. She has had the best care there in our opinion, all staff have been wonderful with her as she is not the easiest person to please. The nurses have sorted her medication as she was getting confused with it all
and hope she continues to stay. Also must say a big thank you to the house manager who is always happy to help with any problems and make my sister very welcome.

I came here after my hip operation for 2 weeks and I found it a lovely place. The carers cared kindly, the food was excellent and everybody was friendly and helpful. I met some lovely people who were living there permanently, the dementia patients upset them, I've worked with them. My room was good
but very cold as the door to the garden didn't close. The organiser was also absolutely outstanding.

Since discovering this, it has transpired that the door had some gravel from the patio area within the frame which was causing a gap at the bottom which has now been resolved.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful and efficient. All the staff introduced themselves to my Aunt June and took great care to make sure she had everything she needed.
The home is sparklingly clean and the room she has is lovely, light and airy.
We live a long way away and it is very comforting
to know that she is in safe hands.
She is looking forward to having a hair and Chiropody appointments.

This care home was used for a period of respite care, the staff were very welcoming, friendly and approachable. My mother was treated with kindness, respect, and dignity and was well cared for throughout her stay. Any small issues identified were addressed.
She tells me that the meals were delicious.

All staff are extremely friendly, helpful, polite and professional and will always go that extra mile where necessary. The home is very clean and well maintained, with a variety of activities for residents.

The staff here work extremely hard for us residents. The atmosphere between carers can be tense due to staff shortages. This isn't down to Covid or sickness. The majority of all the carers are extremely friendly, with nothing being too much trouble. I'm leaving here having had a very enjoyable time
in respite, so much so, that 5/6 carers will be meeting me once I'm at home.

My gran stayed at Henford for two weeks respite while my parents went on holiday. She still talks fondly about her own holiday there and playing Scrabble with a glass of wine!
The staff were kind, the room was big, well decorated and airy, and she enjoyed the food.

We had a poor experience and moved out after four weeks. The room was nice but the staff seem to be overstretched. Promises made to improve did not happen. Most of the staff did not seem to be as caring as they should be. The food bears no resemblance to that shown on the website. The contrast with
the home we have moved to is enormous.

This is a fabulous home with wonderful nurses and care staff. With Mum here, I can resume a normal working and home life. The standard of food has diminished markedly since her arrival and I feel that more should be done as regards interactive involvement and entertainment rather than the merely passive.
These observations aside, the venue stands out and above all its local competitors.

My goal is to ensure that all of our residents and their families and visitors feel comfortable and can enjoy being in this beautiful and welcoming environment; and that the staff feel fully supported to perform at their very best.
I began my career as a Speech and Language Therapist, working with adults in hospitals, care homes and in the community. Having moved into leadership and management has provided me the opportunity to drive high standards of care and ensure that people are valued as individuals. I am committed to continuing with these goals in line with the high standards and superior lifestyle delivered throughout Barchester.
The highlight of my work is spending time with the people we support, and I am always available to have a chat about our home, services, staff, and most importantly, our residents.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Clinical

Hello, My name is Anna and I have been a Registered Nurse for 9 years, my background is in the community where I started my nursing journey as a District Nurse and later took on a Specialist Nurse role as a Nursing, Residential and Learning disabilities Specialist nurse for NEH. I later joined one of the homes I supported as the Deputy Manager, Clinical lead and Home trainer for 2 years. I moved to Wiltshire at the end of 2022 and have been a part of the Barchester family since then, as a Bank Nurse, working both days and nights. I thoroughly enjoyed being part of the team here at Henford House so when the opportunity arose, I applied for Deputy Manager and most gratefully got the job.


I’m a wife, and mum of 3 and also have 2 fur babies- Teddy and Bingo (cocker spaniels). I really enjoy singing and I’m part of the Military Wives Choir. I really believe that singing is good for the soul and can often be heard singing my way down the corridors here (not always in tune).


I am very excited to be a part of this wonderful team and to have the honour of supporting residents, relatives and colleagues.

I am one of the clinical leads at Henford House and have worked here a number of years. I know the residents well. I work on the night shifts mostly, but do carry out one day shift a fortnight so the residents can recognise me. I support the nursing and care staff and am available for residents and their family members to chat with and get information from.


I have a young son and l daughter who keep my home life busy!

I have been at Henford House for more than 30 years. I am the Head of Housekeeping and I am responsible for keeping the housekeeping standards high. I am very proud of my role here and have a fantastic team which keeps the home in immaculate condition!


I oversee the laundry and the domestic teams, as well as supporting the kitchen team, I will gladly help out anywhere in the home.


I enjoy my position here, and I am always happy to help our residents and their families with questions or worries.
I have 3 grown-up children and a dog who all keep me very busy outside of work.

Joined: 2014

I have worked in Henford as a nurse since 2014.
I am usually found working on days and my husband Daniel works at night here. I have recently been promoted to Clinical Lead, which I am very proud of.
I support the nurses and the carers on duty. I am always happy to help out with any questions you may have about your loved ones here. I am in regular contact with the doctors and pharmacies to ensure medications are checked regularly, and our residents are healthy.
I originally came from Romania and can speak fluent Italian.

I joined Henford House in March 2014; after five and a half years of domiciliary care, this position became available at Henford and I decided that it would be great to do more of the fun things in life with residents! It is great here at home; we get along so well and truly have some laughs. Residents have a wide range of activities to participate in each week, including armchair exercises, bingo sessions, singalongs, musical entertainment, pottery, manicures, celebrations and much more. It is very rewarding knowing that people are grateful for the work I've done when I go. Working here has also given me the opportunity to gain my Level 2 NAPA certificate.
