The Westbury Care Home is a lovely place to stay. With beautiful garden areas at the front and to the rear. The staff are very friendly, professional, warm and welcoming. Our brother has settled in well and is making new friends. He is very happy with the care and support he receives. The food is excellent,
with many choices to select from. We love visiting him and we are happy to leave him knowing how well his needs are being met and how content he is.

The staff are very friendly and helped Dad settle in and support him. It does not feel corporate but a very homely and secure environment. Residents are made to feel included and still have independence by a great team from managers, admin, nursing care staff, kitchen, maintenance and gardening staff.
I feel confident that this is the perfect environment for Dad.

On behalf of my family, I would like to thank the manager and her team at The Westbury for their excellent and compassionate care of my father. The end-of-life care my father received was fantastic and as a family, we felt supported and involved. All the staff were wonderful, particularly the night
team who cared for him on the night he passed away. As a registered nurse and Nursing Home Manager myself, I know good care and nursing when I see it and the staff at The Westbury provided this throughout my father's time there. We thank the manager and her team for all their support over the last few months. They are a credit to HC-One.

The staff here are all lovely and they really make you feel welcome, you can see that they care fully for my father and all the residents in the home. We celebrated our father's 85th birthday in the lovely garden and the staff treated us as part of the team and made a wonderful birthday cake for him.
The family that were there, all really appreciate the kindness, effort and support not only for that day, but every day. When you leave to go home, you feel safe in the knowledge that your loved one is well cared for and you can walk away knowing you have nothing to worry about. The gardens look lovely, well cared for and inviting from the moment you pull into the car park and there is usually a resident enjoying them. All of the staff (even those behind the scenes) are lovely here, they make this home the lovely home it is today and they are a credit to the company. May it last for many more decades to come. Thank you everyone for looking after our father so well.

My wife was admitted to the care home eleven days ago for palliative care suffering from liver cancer. We have both been very impressed with the treatment and care she has received from all that have been caring for her well-being. Everyone has been very compassionate, devoted to their duties and made
my wife very comfortable. No words can really sum up the respect we have for staff and management here. They are all worthy of the highest praise.

I would like to thank everyone at The Westbury Care Home for the care they gave to my wife in the last days of her life. The staff were excellent with the short time she spent with them. Everyone was caring and compassionate they were always at hand to ask any question I had and always kept me up to
date with how she was doing if they were worried they would ring the out of hours Doctor and keep me informed of the outcome whatever the time. I can not praise the staff enough with the dedication and care they gave to my wife and to everyone else, I was allowed to spend as much time as I wanted with her and be with her till the end. I would like to say the staff go to the back and beyond for everyone that includes the family. I would like to say a very big thank you to all the staff. I would recommend this care home to everyone, thank you everyone you do a great job.

Always clean and fresh. Management and staff are friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Spacious lounge with a good range of activities. Covid protocols are followed to the letter to help keep everyone safe. Good parking too. Would certainly recommend it.

Home Manager at The Westbury, Wiltshire


What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“Kind care is the core of what we strive to do”


As a Registered Nurse, Theresa has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at The Westbury for nearly two decades, Theresa closely shares Welford Healthcare's vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Theresa remarked:


“Seeing my Residents happy and healthy, and working with dedicated staff who go above and beyond on a daily basis”


Theresa has also achieved much outside of work, with her proudest achievement being moving from India to the UK on her own, at a young age, to further her career in nursing.


Outside of work, Theresa has two children and enjoys gardening and seeing her friends and family.
