I am very, very happy for my husband to be in such a wonderful, loving and caring home. The staff are respectful and so very kind to both my husband and myself. He is spoiled to death and always clean, tidy and very happy. I can ask for no more than this and am just so thankful that I managed to get
him into The Westbury.

Staff always helpful. Whenever we ring or come for visits Mum in Law is always clean and seems happy enough. She likes all staff. We are looking forward to being able to visit her in her room again. (a bit of normal for her and us.)

My father is in the Westbury. I am very happy with the standard of care. The staff make it a priority to get to know the residents very well, all their likes and dislikes. They all make it a very happy place. Everyone works so hard - cleaners, kitchen and the interim manager is doing a very good job.
The vibe in the home is one of a happy home. I am very pleased with the care that Dad gets and everyone will do their best to sort any concerns families may have.

My father-in-law has been looked after by the wonderful staff at The Westbury for around 4 years now. We have always appreciated their hard work and excellent care but today we were overwhelmed to see the bond the staff have with my father-in-law and we can tell he feels safe with them, which is massive
reassurance for us, as his family. Today was my father in-law's birthday and despite him not being able to open his eyes much, they still made him a birthday cake and candles and sang to him. It was wonderful to see. If you are considering this care home for your loved one, then we can wholeheartedly say it’s the best place they can stay. Oh, and the gardens are absolutely stunning this year. So much effort has been made to make it such a bright and inviting place. Perfect place for the residents to relax. Oh, and visitors too, hee hee.

The staff at "The Westbury" are always professional and informative as to what is happening. They have kept residents and themselves very safe during this Covid-19 outbreak. Although it has been hard not seeing our relatives as much during the last 18-months, they have been well looked after by all.

I have been visiting my elderly neighbour at the home for over 2 years. I believe the management and staff care very much for the residents. My intimate knowledge of the home is limited but have always found the staff welcoming and they have looked after my neighbour very well despite the challenges
they are sometimes faced with. Leaving ones home is never easy.

The staff are kind and caring with my dad, but also with us visitors. Sometimes communication from management can be a bit slow, and there doesn't seem to be a welcome procedure to let the family know what the need to do to support and get things rolling.

My father-in-law has been a resident for six years until he passed away this month. Every care and attention was offered to him during his stay. Carers and staff all very friendly and helpful. I can say his stay was happy until the illness dampened his spirits.

The care given to my mum from when she entered The Westbury in April to when she passed away in November was excellent. The staff were very caring and looked after her really well. The communication with us in the family was also very good - we were kept informed of any developments and any queries
were answered promptly and in detail.
I cannot fault their operation at all, and I know my mum felt cared for by friendly and kind staff, and particularly found the hairdressing service very valuable.

My mother was in the Westbury Care Home for just under six weeks. The staff at Westbury not only looked after my mum with a huge amount of care and compassion but looked after the rest of the family as well, including my 90-year-old dad, where there was always an offer of a cup of tea, a biscuit and
a chat.
I cannot thank you all enough for the gentle care you gave Mum at the end, we feel blessed to have had that quiet reassurance that all was well.

During a recent time of bad illness, the care and understanding my mother received was second to none.
All the staff that attended to her were fantastic. They even took good care of myself and other family members as well. It gives me peace of mind to know my mother is so well cared for during both
the day and night.
Overall, the home has such a lovely atmosphere and is always spotlessly clean.

Home Manager at The Westbury, Wiltshire


What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“Kind care is the core of what we strive to do”


As a Registered Nurse, Theresa has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at The Westbury for nearly two decades, Theresa closely shares Welford Healthcare's vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Theresa remarked:


“Seeing my Residents happy and healthy, and working with dedicated staff who go above and beyond on a daily basis”


Theresa has also achieved much outside of work, with her proudest achievement being moving from India to the UK on her own, at a young age, to further her career in nursing.


Outside of work, Theresa has two children and enjoys gardening and seeing her friends and family.
