My mother was very poorly when she entered the care home and with the excellent care of the staff, she recovered very quickly when we visit. It's really lovely to see her so happy and eating really well. The staff keep us well informed about any changes.

My father has been here since January 2016. We are pleased with all the care they provide here. The staff are so helpful and very kind to our father.
The activities are also very good. The staff who run this are so good.
Everyone is so helpful and keep us all informed of what is happening.

My mother is very happy at The Westbury Care Home. The staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble. My mother's room is large so she has been able to bring some of her furniture and paintings which make her feel at home.

My experience is limited to less than 2 weeks only but this has been excellent. I am here to be made fit and go home and live on my own. There is no family to help but I am 96 and able mentally.


Once an internal upset is settled, I am relying on physiotherapy to strengthen me. The carers have been

exceptionally kind and the encouragement of activities has helped considerably at this very difficult time of doubt.

The Westbury Care Home continues to make great progress. With the addition of new management, my mothers care is excellent with nothing being too much trouble. The food choices are excellent with a great variety of meals on offer every day, so good relatives love to stay for lunch too!


The activities

have had a revamp providing entertainment every day keeping both relatives and residents occupied with fun, laughter, cheer and singing. All in all, mum is having a great experience and I can leave her knowing she is being well looked after and all her needs are catered for.

Mum has been in this care home since September 2016. We have always found the staff very friendly and helpful and always there to help with anything.


Staff always come to talk to mum and the activity lady always tries to include her in things.


Mum seems to enjoy being here.

My mother went into Westbury home in September 2014. She passed away June 5, 2017. Through initial residential then full nursing, my mother always received the highest quality of care. All staff. Nurses, carers, cleaners, admin, management, volunteers. Everyone involved at Westbury looked after my mother
with the highest standards of care, compassion, patience and not a little love. I cannot speak too highly of the standard of care received. I shall certainly recommend with confidence to anyone BUPA Westbury Care Home.

Cannot speak too highly of care, service and treatment. My 13 week stay, preparing for returning home, were sympathetically filled with physio help, exercises and advice, from very patient care staff and excellent meals. I am very grateful and would recommend this home to anyone.

At all times the home was clean, fresh and welcoming. The staff were very kind, patient and thoughtful. The maintenance man was extremely prompt and helpful. Entertainment was provided. Christmas was a delight. The level of care and support to ensure enough progress to enable my mother in law to go

Our Aunty stayed in The Westbury after being discharged from Bath hospital. We found it to be a very nice home with caring and relaxed staff. Her room was comfortable and airy with everything she needed . The atmosphere was friendly and homely. We were always offered drinks whenever we visited. Our
Aunty was an amazing and dignified lady and was treated this way at all times. Her wishes along with ours were always considered by the staff. From all we saw I would recommend this home.

Introducing Theresa Chacko
Home Manager at The Westbury, Wiltshire


What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“Kind care is the core of what we strive to do”


As a Registered Nurse, Theresa has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at The Westbury for nearly two decades, Theresa closely shares Welford Healthcare's vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Theresa remarked:


“Seeing my Residents happy and healthy, and working with dedicated staff who go above and beyond on a daily basis”


Theresa has also achieved much outside of work, with her proudest achievement being moving from India to the UK on her own, at a young age, to further her career in nursing.


Outside of work, Theresa has two children and enjoys gardening and seeing her friends and family.
