White Lodge Care Home is a converted hunting property, thoroughly renovated for the practice of professional care within picturesque surroundings, with a lake for its backdrop.

Highly qualified staff provide person-centred care to adults with residential and nursing needs, and to those living with dementia, and work tirelessly to enrich the lives of residents through expert care and meaningful occupation.

A programme of activities is offered, including special events and entertainment and regular trips out and about. A music therapy programme is also provided through group and one-to-one sessions. The home also has a professional Head Chef, who leads the kitchen tea, and they work together to create nutritious and delicious menus for residents, families and guests to enjoy.

Any apprehesion about bringing my father from his beloved own home to While Lodge was instantly dispelled. He loves it here: The residents are sociable, one activities wonderful + the staff are obviously a team, working + supporting each other & support the residents.
Visitors are made welcome + it
is a delight + a relief to know we found a place father loves + deserves to live in.

I have enjoyed my brief stay 100%! The house is full of laughing, smiling, friendly people and the staff of nurses and helpers are so friendly and helpful, always charming and smiling. Laughter is never far away. As a consequence of all of this, the residents smile and greet each other and are equally
friendly.
I like it here very much and hope to return one day as a full-time resident.

During my mum's week of respite, I was impressed by the kindness, friendliness and competency of all the staff I came in contact with. Mum's wishes were always at the centre of whatever she was involved with. Activities were arranged on a daily basis and staff were encouraging and supportive of residents
to engage, socialise and have fun. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff, whatever their role.
The food was excellent and choices were always available.
Mum thoroughly enjoyed her time there and is looking forward to returning in the future.

We have really enjoyed the garden party this afternoon. It was lovely to listen to the music of a local brass band in the sunshine with my mum. It is such a beautiful setting. The staff were all very helpful and attentive and could not do enough to help Mum. The tea and cakes were lovely. Thank you

Lovely to have a private party to celebrate a 90th birthday.

We had an amazing lunch/afternoon for Dad's 80th birthday.
The chef and activities coordinator went above and beyond to ensure we had great food and exclusive use of the dining room. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed Dad's lunch.

An excellent care home, where residents are treated with love and call home. A great number of activities which are enjoyed.
A wonderful 90th birthday party was laid on for my sister. There was a beautiful birthday cake, balloons, flowers and decorations and wine, sandwiches and sausage rolls.

The care I receive at Barchester White Lodge Care Home is excellent - both from the carers and nurses. I feel very safe and content. The carers love to chat and are always patient and careful.
White Lodge is in a very beautiful and peaceful location, surrounded by farmland. It has none of the usual
noise from a town or city location and so, is very relaxing.

I am Ramona Gherendi and I am the General Manager here at White Lodge.


I joined Barchester in 2018 as a Clinical Lead, progressing to Deputy Manager and then General Manager of White Lodge in 2020. My focus at White Lodge is to ensure residents have the best possible life and experiences every single day, supported by the skilled and caring team here. I am committed to person-centred care for all our residents and my door is always open to them and their families.


I have a real passion for nursing beginning my nursing career in 2004 in Romania as a cardiac nurse. I moved to the UK with my family in 2011 and I have worked in adult general nursing in the UK since then.


For anyone considering care for themselves or for a loved one, our doors are open for you to visit and meet the team.

Hello. I am Ioana Morar and I joined the White Lodge team as Deputy Manager in July 2020. I began my nursing career in 2004 in Romania as an orthopaedic nurse and I moved to the UK with my family in 2013. Hello. I am Elizabeth. I qualified as a nurse in 1985 and joined White Lodge in 2003 as a RGN. I was later promoted to Unit Manager and am now Clinical Lead. I really enjoy making sure residents get the medical support they need to feel as well as they can. I oversee clinical training for the White Lodge team and I ensure residents have their medication and treatment reviewed regularly. I also make sure that nursing processes are understood and followed by the team.

Hello. I am Nita. I joined White Lodge as a Carer in 2018 and have since qualified as a Care Practitioner and then onto a Nurse and have spent the last year working as a Registered General Nurse in the home. Hi my name is Shayla and I'm the activities coordinator here at White Lodge.


Prior to taking the position, I worked as a care assistant within the home for 2 years loving every minute of my role. My passion is very much in supporting the day to day lives of the people we care for, it is important to me that our weekly calendar offers rich experiences with music from live entertainers, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.


Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining White Lodge that will make for an enriched activities program to be developed, one that keeps them at the heart of the local community.
