White Lodge Care Home is a converted hunting property, thoroughly renovated for the practice of professional care within picturesque surroundings, with a lake for its backdrop.

Highly qualified staff provide person-centred care to adults with residential and nursing needs, and to those living with dementia, and work tirelessly to enrich the lives of residents through expert care and meaningful occupation.

A programme of activities is offered, including special events and entertainment and regular trips out and about. A music therapy programme is also provided through group and one-to-one sessions. The home also has a professional Head Chef, who leads the kitchen tea, and they work together to create nutritious and delicious menus for residents, families and guests to enjoy.

I was invited by a friend to come to White Lodge Care Home to see Chloe’s Mobile Farm. It was amazing! The resident I came to visit had the best time and the women who brought the animals along were so friendly. I brought my daughter, who’s only two along and she was welcomed with open arms. There were
chicks, ducklings, rabbits, guinea pigs and even lambs! I can honestly say, I have never witnessed such care and compassion from the staff. The staff were so organised and the residents had the best time. All residents held animals, stroked, cuddled and had such a laugh.
I would recommend anyone looking for care for any family, friends or relatives to visit and experience White Lodge. It is out of this world!

My mother was a very independent-minded lady. Living in a care home was not part of her plan, "Over my dead body" was the phrase most often used whenever anyone suggested it. However, her increasing infirmity and blindness meant she had to eventually accept the inevitable.
It was with great relief
that we managed to persuade her to come and stay at White Lodge, initially as respite but very soon after as a resident. Throughout her time there, every one of the staff did their best to make her feel welcome, be part of a big family of residents and ensure her comfort and safety.
As time went by and she became less mobile, it fell to your staff to be even more attentive to her needs and they did not fail her. We are extremely grateful to all of those who took on this responsibility and helped my mum to continue to enjoy a great quality of life with dignity in your care.
The professionalism, respect and personal interest that White Lodge staff showed towards my mum to the end were exemplary and their kindness towards her, especially in difficult times, will always be remembered by us with enormous gratitude.

The home is in a beautiful setting and is beautifully quiet and peaceful. Recently it has been refurbished to a very high standard and the common rooms are really nice. All of the staff are very helpful and attentive.

Having viewed a number of care homes in and around the Swindon area for our 91 year old mother, we were somewhat disappointed until we visited White Lodge care home, which is literally in a class of its own. Quite simply superb. Led by the General Manager, her team of nurses, carers and other staff

The care I am receiving here is excellent.
The nursing and care staff are kind, considerate, friendly and even at their busiest will help with whatever you need - be it picking up a stray TV remote or handling requests for coffee in the wee hours.
Always there with a smile or a chat.

I had a mini-stroke on Friday and my doctor sent me by ambulance to the hospital for a brain scan. It was positive but the hospital couldn't send me home as I live alone so it was decided that I should spend a week in a care home. I came to Barchester White Lodge Care Home as they did respite and my
wife has been a resident for two years. I have been very well looked after and my disabilities improved due to the daily care and attention so I can go home soon.

My mother moved into White Lodge straight after a long flight from Australia. The staff have been amazing, welcoming and so kind. The administrator and receptionist have gone above and beyond the normal. Nothing has been too much bother from our first enquiry until she moved in. Absolutely outstanding.
Mum says it's all so friendly, warm and homely. She loves it.

My father stayed here for respite and with him having dementia he was a bit apprehensive, but on seeing him toward the end of his stay he was loving it. He said the staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for him. He was taken in his wheelchair around the grounds which he found to be lovely as he was
looking at the flowers, being a keen gardener in his younger years.
Would recommend White Lodge Care Home for sure.

I am Ramona Gherendi and I am the General Manager here at White Lodge.


I joined Barchester in 2018 as a Clinical Lead, progressing to Deputy Manager and then General Manager of White Lodge in 2020. My focus at White Lodge is to ensure residents have the best possible life and experiences every single day, supported by the skilled and caring team here. I am committed to person-centred care for all our residents and my door is always open to them and their families.


I have a real passion for nursing beginning my nursing career in 2004 in Romania as a cardiac nurse. I moved to the UK with my family in 2011 and I have worked in adult general nursing in the UK since then.


For anyone considering care for themselves or for a loved one, our doors are open for you to visit and meet the team.

I oversee clinical training for the White Lodge team and I ensure residents have their medication and treatment reviewed regularly. Hi my name is Shayla and I'm the activities coordinator here at White Lodge.


Prior to taking the position, I worked as a care assistant within the home for 2 years loving every minute of my role. My passion is very much in supporting the day to day lives of the people we care for, it is important to me that our weekly calendar offers rich experiences with music from live entertainers, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.


Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining White Lodge that will make for an enriched activities program to be developed, one that keeps them at the heart of the local community.
