Rated Outstanding by the CQC (January 2021), Downs View care centre in Bradbury caters for elderly residents with varying stages of dementia.

The home enjoys stunning views over the Downs and has 51 individual bedrooms. 43 are en-suite.

There is also a suite for couples and guests for privacy. The home has two large lounges and a sun lounge for relaxation.

Downs View has recently had the benefit of a dementia-specific designed, large accessible sensory garden with safe, soft walkways and accessible flower beds with seating areas.

Fresh meals are prepared daily by the chef using local suppliers. Residents can choose their meal based on personal or dietary requirements.

My mother was a resident of Downs View Care Centre from December 2012 until her death in January 2016. I live in Australia and thus was able to only visit my mother on my visits to the UK, twice or three times a year, though family members visited as well. It has always been an enormous comfort for
me living so far away, to know that my mother was being so well-cared for at a stage in her life when such care was necessary. I have the highest regard for the staff at Downs View and was always aware of the affection they showed towards my mother and the care that they offered her. I was touched by the emotion shown by certain members of the staff following my mother's passing.

The staff at Downsview always go above and beyond their roles to enhance the lives of the people we care for and I am very proud to call them my team.


I love interacting with my residents and their families and my passion is dementia Care. I have been responsible for working alongside and supporting other dementia care homes within the CWC group.
